soop I am well aware we do not normally use 4 letter words here but the one I use for you as do others, is rest and so far you have been adhering to it.

Hopefully you will be able to sit outside very soon and enjoy the sunshine.

soop Wed 23-Mar-22 14:39:38

I'm so glad yoyr DGS enjoyed his visit to Big Boy Nursery, Grandmabatty, hope he's having a great time today!

Your gentle walk will have done you a power of good, Soop, uplifting for the spirits.

Jaxjacky, glad to hear that your son is on the mend.

Gorgeous flowers, thank you Tilly.

YiaYia, fingers crossed for your DGS.

Sounds like a wonderful holiday, Brook, enjoy every minute!

I'm resting while DGS2 has his nap, we've been out in the garden all morning playing with his construction toys in the sunshine.

I hope everyone can enjoy a little bit of sunshine ? today, TOYA.

Grandmabatty Wed 23-Mar-22 07:54:55

Thank you ladies. Hopefully he'll still be happy when he goes all day!

Nannytopsy Tue 22-Mar-22 23:36:27

What a lovely day GrandmaBatty and memories made for when he’s grown up. So glad you are getting out and enjoying the weather soop.
We have made inroads into the garden in our slow way and tomorrow I shall give the lawn its first cut. That will make such a difference.
Sleep tight ?

Jaxjacky Tue 22-Mar-22 21:29:00

I’ve just read back, I was rushed earlier. Indeed good news Grandmabatty the boy seems raring to go.
A holiday, abroad Nannytopsy decision made, how exciting for you ??

brook2704 Tue 22-Mar-22 21:05:04

So pleased your DGS had such a lovely first day today at his big nursery grandmabatty!

Jaxjacky Tue 22-Mar-22 19:06:40

Hi all, a better day, what a load of lemons brook sounds like you’re having a lovely, relaxing time.
Every day a little progress soop, excellent.
I bought a new extension lead to use cutting the grass, MrJ will do at the weekend, unless I get round to it; weeded, put my last plants in and generally enjoyed the outside. I may need to water at the weekend, who’d have thought it in March!
I slept through for 8 hours last night, needed it, you just crack on don’t you when needed, sleep restores.
Have a lovely evening all x

Baggs Tue 22-Mar-22 18:20:08

That sling is quite something, jax! Glad the op went well though.

I'm another who, sad to say, finds the scent of hyacinths (and many other flowers!) overpowering in a headachy sort of way. But the colour is lovely.

Glad to hear about the walk in the village, soop. Keep up the good work under MrS's watchful eye wink

Grandmadinosaur Tue 22-Mar-22 17:56:13

Not a regular here but pop in from time to time to check on your progress dear Soop
It seems to be going well and I’m sure these sunny days will help.
You’ve earnt that gin Grandmabatty cheers !

Lovely photos brook2704 I love Soller and the oranges there. When we were in Palma we spotted a woman take one from a tree and proceed to taste it but her face said it all! I’ll stick with supermarket ones I think.

Enjoy your evenings Grans.

Yiayia4 Tue 22-Mar-22 17:48:45

Have a pleasant evening everyone after a such a warm sunny day.?

Grandmabatty Tue 22-Mar-22 17:27:25

Today was an unexpected grandma day! Dgs1 went to the "big boy nursery" for an hour to ease him in. He ran in and didn't look back!? However coming out was a different story. He was breaking his heart at having to leave and nothing would console him but to come to grandma's house. I took him for three hours or so and we've had lots of fun. Dd managed to get the washing put away. He's so excited about going again tomorrow. It's very good news and augurs well. When I took him home, dd handed me dgs2 and I fed him. Home again to clean the mayhem in the garden and house. I've had a lovely day. I'm so fortunate. I've made a chicken curry for tea and I'm relaxing with a gin. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

brook2704 Tue 22-Mar-22 15:50:02

Beautiful hyacinths Tilly thank you so much they really brighten the kitchen!
Some gentle walking Soop sounds just about right, not too much though with lots of rests. That’s excellent very quick service from the dentist too - no time to worry about the appointment!
We’ve had another lovely day today, bus to Soller and then a lovely walk down through orange and lemon groves to the Port de Soller. It was then time the usual ice cream in the afternoon and a sit and relax watching the world go by

soop Tue 22-Mar-22 15:13:39

Tilly I swear that I can virtually smell the heady perfume of the lovely hyacinths. And, I love the pot. smile

A few days ago, I thought that part of a filling had broken off from an upper tooth. I am afraid of the dentist's drill but knew that I should do something about it before matters worsened. Phoned at ten this morning. In the chair at eleven. All sound. I was out of the surgery that fast my feet barely touched the ground. wink

As per your sensible advice, I shall sit down for a wee while. We had a very short walk beside the loch in Tarbert after the dental appointment. A sunny day with a hint of a chilly breeze.

Nannytopsy Tue 22-Mar-22 15:02:46

Lovely hyacinths Tilly!
I’ve put a bucketful of energy by the Aga if anyone wants to help themselves. Off up the steps to do a bit more weeding. I have to keep stopping when knee and hip start to complain.

Bellanonna Tue 22-Mar-22 13:59:50

soop, it’s great that you had a walk round the village and met up with friends. Onwards and upwards it is now.
Tilly those are lovely hyacinths and I really (well almost) can smell them from here.

dustyangel Tue 22-Mar-22 13:50:45

Beautiful hyacinths Tilly, I tend to find their perfume a bit heavy when we have them in the house but the scent from here is just right. Lovely container too.
Jax that sling will certainly stop anyone accidentally knocking into your son’s hand! I so glad that he was called back into hospital, what a relief for you all.

soop a little stroll and a blether in the sunshine is powerful medicine and I’m sure you’re doing what you are told otherwise. wink

TillyTrotter Tue 22-Mar-22 08:25:00

Ta very much ? Grandmabatty
I wish you could smell those hyacinths - such a pretty fragrance. They are getting heavy on top so I may need to find “stakes” for them today.

Grandmabatty Tue 22-Mar-22 08:23:25

Beautiful flowers Tillytrotter. You can have some energy from me. I'll zap it through the internet.?

TillyTrotter Tue 22-Mar-22 08:18:08

PS batty and topsy please wrap up a bundle of your energy and send to me asap!

TillyTrotter Tue 22-Mar-22 08:16:11

Just popped in to read yesterday’s kitchen news and so heartened to see you had a wee walk soop , ?
a trip to a nature reserve for you Blossoming ?

Skies of sunshine make our hearts feel lighter even if there is still a nip in the air.
Take care everyone - thinking of you all (even though I can’t mention each and everyone).
Special thoughts for our “BladeAnnie” who is taking a rest from GN. Missing you, sending ?, and hope you will come back soon.

Nannytopsy Mon 21-Mar-22 23:43:40

So busy here! Jax that lucky boy! Great sling though.
Lovely photos of Valdemosa which we have enjoyed.
Are you sitting down soop? ?
Done a stint in the garden and will do some more tomorrow. DS dropped in the bring me some sewing. Fortunately we sat outside as tonight he tested +ve. Oh dear! DDIL still positive so we get to go to DGS’s class assembly, in a school where everyone seems to have Covid. Masks firmly in place then!
Sleep well everyone.
PS we are going to Turkey in 3 weeks time!
