Oh,, oh Yia fingers crossed for you both.
What very happy news of your jaunt around the village soop, cheered my evening, which will be curtailed as I’m tired.
Enjoy yours all x

Wonderful photo Brooke hope your having a lovely time enjoy every minute.

We heard this morning my youngest GS has covid, he was with us on Saturday!?

brook2704 Mon 21-Mar-22 16:31:51

Phew Jax I bet you’re relieved that’s over with now, that’s some sling your DS has there. Thank goodness the op went well and hoping he’s fully recovered soon
Sending ?

soop Mon 21-Mar-22 16:22:55

The sun has put in an appearance. We took our first walk together (since surgery) around the village. It is as lovely as I remembered it. Met a couple of friends and had a wee blether. All progressing in a most happy-making fashion.

Until tomorrow TOYA smile moon

Goodness JaxJacky. He was lucky! I'm glad it's sorted now. Waving furiously at Soop. Exercise is overrated ? I have taken the toys out of the summer house for dgs1 later this week. I still think it's a little early to pull the wee greenhouse out and sow seeds. Ironing done and floors washed. I'm having a lazy afternoon now. Good afternoon kitcheners.

soop Mon 21-Mar-22 16:19:41

Jax A most satisfactory result. Well done you. Well done the surgeon and well done, happy recovery to your dear son. sunshine

Blossoming Mon 21-Mar-22 16:17:46

Glad you’re home Jax, that’s an impressive sling! It’s very lucky they found it before anything happened. Hope you are resting now flowers

Jaxjacky Mon 21-Mar-22 15:15:02

Afternoon, boy that was a long trip, left home at 6:30, hope about 2 via pharmacy. The op took over 2.5 hours, as the artery was almost severed, a blood clot was holding it, good job they called him back in.. He’s plastered up and must not knock it, a very fetching sling is supporting the arm, we’re back next week.
Thanks again for your good wishes, it’s appreciated x

soop Mon 21-Mar-22 15:08:01

Aww! I fell asleep watching yesterday afternoon's pole vaulting and long jump events. A very good reason why I did not volunteer to represent GB in the indoor athletics. wink

When I awoke, it was too late to return to the kitchen as it was almost meal time.

Jax Thinking of you and your son. Safe travels.

brook The photo of the beautiful architecture that you have shared with us is utterly delightful. Enjoy!

All grannies who are doing a sterling job of minding infants...bless you. A well-deserved gold star each. flowers

Blossoming Sun 20-Mar-22 21:18:28

Grannmarie Sun 20-Mar-22 21:13:15

Grandmabatty Sun 20-Mar-22 20:09:27

I hope all goes well for your son tomorrow "JaxJacky*. I'll be thinking of him. Just had a half hour nap Grannmarie ?

Baggs Sun 20-Mar-22 20:07:28

All the best for a smooth day tomorrow, jax.

Jaxjacky Sun 20-Mar-22 20:05:41

Hi all, your photo Tilly shows the weather in all its glory, and brook yours looks so cosy and well, just beautiful. Thank you both.
I hope you’re sitting down soop!
Thank you all for your wishes, alarm is set for 6:10am, water bottle, bananas and book, I’m hoping it’ll be speedy, unlikely, but I live in hope, the actual op is about 40 minutes.
You’re very kind all of you, have a peaceful evening, I’ll update tomorrow x

Grannmarie Sun 20-Mar-22 19:52:09

Good evening, lovely Kitchen people ?
I made a big pot of minestrone today, plenty for everyone!

I'm just catching up with everyone's news and gorgeous photos, thanks Baggs, Soop, Yia, Tilly, Brook
.
So glad everything went well Soop but all that travelling is tiring, so I agree with Kitty, sit down, ideally with your feet on a stool, cushions at your back, a gorgeous cat on your lap and your wonderful man at your side!??

Jaxjacky, I'm so sorry to hear about your DS's accident but I'm seriously impressed with the prompt, specialist care he is receiving, sending love and prayers for his successful surgery and speedy recovery.
?? ?

Grandmabatty, I'm exhausted just reading about everything you have accomplished today, you must bottle and sell your energy!! After a childcare day, I usually collapse in a heap with a book.

Blossoming, thinking of you, I would say 'Take care' but I know that you are a wise woman who follows the best advice for your health and wellbeing. flowers

I've had a restful weekend, after all the busyness of child/dog care and hospitality last week. I need to give myself a shake and do some work in the garden this week while the sun shines. Tonight, a glass of wine will be enjoyed with Peaky Blinders!

TOYA, especially those with illness, worries or sorrow. NNGB.

mrshat Sun 20-Mar-22 18:31:16

Lovely pics from Baggs and soop. Thank you. It's good to see you looking so well soop but do take things easy and remember to 'sit down' as kitty says!
Jax scary news about your son's wrist so all the best for him tomorrow. I'm sure his op with be a huge success.
kitty Mr Hat is playing with his computer - his heart cannot cope with watching Forest (be beaten, ever the optimist!!). Can you believe it!? No doubt he will be checking his phone for ongoing results ...............Men!!
All good wishes to everyone else who has troubles/illness.
Keep safe.

Grandmabatty Sun 20-Mar-22 18:04:28

Can you see my halo shining? Seven hours of baby whispering yesterday and dgs2 was very hard work!! Today I shopped for food, put out three washes and weeded the front and back garden. I hoovered again. There's only me so why are there crumbs on every floor? And I roasted a chicken. I've just had chicken with asparagus tip, peas, tenderstem broccoli and mash. Homemade chicken gravy finished the job. No dessert. I might have a cuppa and a biscuit later. Soop as Kittylester said, "Sit down." Beautiful photos, particularly the river and Palma. Thank you Tillytrotter and Brook. I'm settling down for Miss Marple. Not my favourite episode but Joan Hickson is my favourite Marple. As Scarlett O'Hara said, "Tomorrow is another day." Have a good evening Kitcheners.

Blossoming Sun 20-Mar-22 17:49:00

It’s not really scary Brook but it is the reason why my blood pressure has to be kept low, so as not to put any stress on it. My neuro team did say if I couldn’t live with the anxiety I could choose to have an op, but quite honestly I’m more scared of the idea of brain surgery than I am of the very remote possibility of the aneurysm going off pop! They said the risk was about 0.001 percent. I don’t trouble it, it doesn’t trouble me smile.

brook2704 Sun 20-Mar-22 16:43:05

Lovely pictures soop and beautiful scenery, it’s good to see you looking so well and happy.
Lovely photos too yia and tilly thanks for sharing

Our hotel here is Palma is just perfect, so friendly and relaxing but the weather is a bit iffy - when the sun comes out it’s lovely but it’s a bit cloudy. Never mind though we had a good trip out today to Valldemossa which is really beautiful. A gorgeous lunch out too

Hoping all goes well for your DS jax and he recovers quickly
That sounds scary Blossoming but as long as it’s monitored and stays the same thats good ?
Definitely a holiday nannytopsy!

kittylester Sun 20-Mar-22 16:23:30

Crikey, jax, they don't tell you these bits of being a mum,but they?

soop sit down!

Blossoming thanks

soop, sit down.

Good luck with your endeavours corner. I don't even try to get them all together at any one time.

Off to watch Forest play Liverpool. Oh dear.

soop sit down.

Blossoming Sun 20-Mar-22 15:29:02

Thank you Soop and one back to you smile

It’s a lovely sunny day here too, lots of washing drying in the fresh air. I’m resting my back just now as we are having a day out tomorrow

soop Sun 20-Mar-22 15:08:09

Blossoming For you, an extra special healing hug. flowers

I'm about to watch some indoor athletics. I won't be participating this year. wink

Another sunny day. I shall call in again later this after. smile

Charleygirl5 Sun 20-Mar-22 10:31:43

Tilly what a beautiful photo, I do like to see ducks wandering around.

Jax at least your DS is being treated swiftly and by the correct team- it will soon be over.

soop unless you continue to rest the nagging nannies will be behind you as ever! It is no time at all since your surgery and it was major as I do not have to remind you.

Delighted to hear your feline visitor stayed overnight. I think when the weather is warmer she will become bolder.

TillyTrotter Sun 20-Mar-22 08:44:25

Yesterday we had a very pleasant day by the river, and today is a blank canvas as they say.
Sun is shining and we have more sunny days to come.
Hello Spring - you are most welcome! ☀️??

TillyTrotter Sun 20-Mar-22 08:31:26

Sorry to read about your DS’s accident Jax . Wishing him well for tomorrow’s surgery and a safe journey for you both.
He is getting swift treatment which is a relief to his dear Mum. ?
