Goodness jax, hope all goes well for your son and his driver.

You wouldn’t overdo things would you soop! smile. Sounds as if some energy is returning. Best to keep some in reserve.

My current diversion is an attempt to organise a family weekend away next year for Mr C’s birthday. Now why did I think this would be a good idea or even possible? Herding cats? No problem grin.

Take care everyone. TOYA.

Oh dear JaxJacky what a shock ?

Urmstongran Sun 20-Mar-22 07:14:55

I’d recommend a holiday Nannytopsy but then I would, wouldn’t I? All restrictions for flying home have been lifted now. So much easier being ‘back to normal’. Yikes Jax that accident sounds horrendous. Hope your son’s appointment tomorrow goes well. x

Lovely news and photos soop and baggs. The new hair do really suits you soop.

Your son's accident Jax, brings back memories of me ending up in the trauma unit here in Cornwall three years ago. Hope everything goes well for him on Monday. I'm sure it will. He has a brilliant mum. I can echo what SueDonim said about surgery. I needed three hours of precision surgery from a hand specialist/plastic surgeon to repair me.

The sun has struggled today. It started off well but did keep dry so I got the mower out ! Also had fun with a steam cleaner yesterday. A purchase for the new house! Love it ?

Take care every one.

I feel very humbled, and appreciative Soop, that in the midst of your own troubles, you took the time to say hello to David, thank you xx

Jaxjacky more shocks today, great it’s getting dealt with quickly and should avoid further problems later. I have an aneurysm in my brain, found following the ruptured artery when I acquired the brain injury. It’s in a tricky place for surgery so it’s just monitored by CT/MRI. If it shows significant changes surgery will be needed, but as it’s been there for almost 20 years it seems unlikely to cause problems now. My neuroradiologist told me I may have been born with it.

Soop it’s lovely to hear you sounding so happy, please don’t be tempted to do too much, too soon. One of my own failings for which Mr. B tells me off, I suspect MrSoop will do the same grin]. Hope you’re soon better Nannyfaraway.

It’s been a glorious sunny day here, we have been out in the garden, falling asleep now.

Goodnight and TOYA.

What a nasty shock for you Jax hope your son makes a quick recovery.
I’m feeling totally creamed crackered tonight after a very hectic day with grandsons and dogs, will take a week to recover but well worth it.I certainly recommend a holiday in the sun Nannytopsy do you the world of good. ?

Sleep well Kitcheners.

My goodness Jaxjacky, your poor son and poor you as well. You must feel so worn out and worried about him.

Beautiful photographs from soop and Baggs. I especially love the one of you both together and the fish looks as if he could swim away any moment.
soop I envy your lovely curls and hairstyle. Mine was due to be cut the week after the accident and is now looking very overgrown and out of shape.

SueDonim Sat 19-Mar-22 19:13:05

Eek, Jaxjacky! ? I don’t think I can bear thinking about that! I hope your son’s op goes well and he recovers soon. flowers Not quite the same but my brother had an accident involving his hand and a lawnmower (also doesn’t bear thinking about). He needed five hours of plastic surgery at a specialist hospital but they reconstructed his hand and all he was left with was a little bit of numbness in one finger. They’re miracle workers!

Sunny day here which was spent sorting things out in the garage. hmm As we got to the end and I was sweeping it out, a sharp wind blew up and kept blowing all the dust and leaves back in again! Grrr!

Have a quiet evening, everyone.

Nannytopsy Sat 19-Mar-22 18:18:20

GrandmaBatty baby wrangling can be very hard work! Enjoy your gin!
My seeds have begun germinating in less than a week - can’t believe it! Of course now we have the difficulty of keeping them going without getting leggy. DH spent today trying to reconstruct our wood and Perspex cold frame which was scattered all over the garden by the recent storms. There are still two pieces of the sheeting missing. Any GNs in Norfolk found them?
Feeling very unsettled - I keep looking at holidays in nice hotels on warm islands! It’s either that or a pub lunch somewhere. What do the kitchen think?

Grandmabatty Sat 19-Mar-22 17:27:18

JaxJacky I'm hoping your son is okay. What a shock. An hour and a bit before dgs2 is handed over. He's not as easy a baby as his big brother was! A gin and tonic for me tonight

soop Sat 19-Mar-22 16:59:49

BlueBalou The scenery is far more grand and awesome than depicted on the photo. It makes me proud to live in Scotland. smile

Grandmabatty Teething is a buggeration. I prescribe lots of gentle hugs.

Nannyfaraway, sending you healing vibes. There are a few cases in our wee village. Rest and recover well.

Marydoll I had my hair cut before going into hospital. It is so easy to maintain. I simply run my fingers through it and hey presto...it looks reasonably neat. wink

Hellogirl On our way to hospital (on that night from hell) we remembered to say hello to David.

Our pals in the village phoned to ask if they may drop in for a wee blether. Looking forward to seeing them both.

Today's weather has been spectacular. We have a cloudless sky. Mr Soop has cut the grass and has a hint of a sun tan. Bless.

By the way, Sweetie Pie didn't visit in our absence. However, she did stay in her apartment last night. She has also enjoyed a fine feast. grin

I must log off and smarten myself in readiness for our visitors. It's what we do. wink

Enjoy your Saturday evening. I shall raise a small glass of wine to you all a little later.

smile moon

Jax Your poor son. Good grief. I was shocked to read about his accident.
You know darn well that you will be only too happy to step in and do your best to support him during his hour of need. flowers

BlueBalou Sat 19-Mar-22 15:39:21

Lovely photos soop, that scenery is just fabulous, very envious moi!

Jaxjacky Sat 19-Mar-22 15:34:38

Pleased all went well soop smashing photo.
My son had an accident at work yesterday, nicking the artery in his wrist with a knife (he works in a wholesale butchers) trips to two hospitals. Phone call this morning, he’d heard from Salisbury hospital, back to Southampton A&E for antibiotics and tetanus, revised opinion for an op, now necessary in case of an aneurism, scheduled on Monday at Salisbury (Odstock) plastics surgeon will be doing it. Which is all rather shocking, but under control now ?but, as his GF doesn’t drive, neither does he, even if he could, good old Mum has been and will be taxi, alarm will be set for 06:30 on Monday. Kids eh!

Grandmabatty Sat 19-Mar-22 15:04:13

I am babysitting dgs2 and he's teething so lots of attention required. I hope everyone is well. Nannyfaraway I hope you recover soon. Back to playing with a four month old. It makes a change from being a train.

soop Sat 19-Mar-22 13:04:20

I cannot tell you lot how much your support means to me, especially during the scary times. I did mention this to Baggs. We agreed that you are all very special peoples.

It is a glorious day. Mr Soop is cutting the grass. I am continuing to do as I am told, although I may now throw in a few none-too-taxing jobs aboot the hoos. All part of returning gently to a more normal routine.

We both slept like babes last night. It was a tiring, 'though enjoyable change of scene.

I shall return a little later. TOYA.

Nannyfaraway Sat 19-Mar-22 13:04:15

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been on here for a few days. I've got Covid tested positive on Wednesday and not up to doing much.
Have to Isolate until at least Tuesday. As still a legal requirement in Wales.
Glad your appointments went well Soop and your safely back home. Lovely photos
But I would still Isolate anyway.
