Good morning from a grey, damp Colchester.
Just realised DH didn't put the bins out last night as usual so I'd better nip out and do it now. Sod's law is there'll be an early collection of I don't and a late one if I do.
Tuesday is my charity shop day. It's a 15 minute walk from home. Seems like I haven't walked that far for ages because of these storms. Looks like today will be a normal February day.
Love to all ? x

Good morning from Rutland where a calmer day appears to be dawning. The wind and rain yesterday were as bad as Friday here and, like many others I’m sure, my travel plans were disrupted, so it’s off to DD2 and family today. Wishing everyone the best day possible and praying world events do not escalate, having just heard the 7o’clock news.

Good morning from a calmer Derbyshire. It's not raining at the moment but more is forecast today.

Yesterday we went on a mystery coach tour. The destination was apparently changed twice due to weather conditions in other locations, and we ended up in Cambridge. A good choice though, and we had an enjoyable day. However, the fun and games began when we returned to Derby. Much of the city centre was gridlocked due to the river Derwent bursting it's banks, flooding some of the surrounding roads and leading to a bridge, a major route out of the city (our route), being closed. Crossing to the other side of the river to enable us to get home became a real problem. Thankfully we eventually managed to get on a bus that changed it's normal route to get us out of the city. We passed abandoned cars along the way that had tried and failed to get through the flooded roads. It was a relief to get home and I really hope no houses were flooded here or anywhere else.

A quieter day planned today. DH has to take a relative to hospital for a procedure and might want me to accompany him.

Hope Tuesday is a good day for all.

Good morning from East Yorkshire. It seems calmer today.

I’ll be going to coffee morning today I’m looking forward to it after missing last week.
Then I have a free afternoon as it is half term here this week and we will be seeing GS tomorrow.

Yesterday I contacted Shazzakanazza only to find she really is just down the road from me. Not just that but we already know each other! What a small world and we are hoping to meet up soon. Hoping her DH gets on ok today at his hospital appt.

Take care everyone.

Good morning from blustery Leicestershire.

So sorry to hear your news Scentia but hopefully your DH will have his op soon and make a full recovery.
Wishing Iris all the best for tomorrow. She is such a brave girl.

Not much planned today.
Wishing every one the best day possible.

Good morning all from a cloudy, calmer, S Hants. A shock for you both yesterday Scentia, hoping for a swift operation and an even speedier recovery.
Safe journey gMattie and good wishes for Iris.
One drive today, a birthday card to post while I’m out walking and a bit of a garden tidy after the winds.
Enjoy your day all ??.

Good Morning everyone from a calmer south coast (9.5c) after another windy night.

Safe journey to Bristol Mattie and hope all goes well for Iris. What a brave little girl she is. Also best wishes to your DH as you both wait for a diagnosis.

I hadn't spotted news of your DH's heart surgery Scentia but sending positive vibes for you both and I agree with Ash that his fitness levels will serve him well.

The car is going in for a service and MOT today and we are trying a new garage which collects and delivers the vehicle so I am a bit apprehensive in case it doesn't re-appear! DH is very laid back about such things but I am not!

Had a lovely surprise visit from DD yesterday to tell us that exchange has taken place on the flat they are buying nearer her place of work so that she doesn't have to travel 100 miles round trip every day. She was a bit apprehensive about being away from home so much more but realises that it will be an investment and family and friends can use it at weekends too. Completion is 9 March.

Have the best day you can everyone. sunshine

Good Morning from Severnside to you all. Still dark and not raining. A bit blowy yesterday.

I had a surprise visit from my friends who moved away yesterday. Always a pleasure to see them.

Not quite a normal Tuesday for me so I’ll just see how the day goes.

My thoughts to all with worries and poorly loved ones. I don’t want to mention particular people because I’m sure I’d miss someone out. Although I don’t often say I do think of you and what’s happening in your lives.

Have the best day you can everyone ??

Good morning, Mick, and those who follow from a calm Torbay at the moment! Yesterday began similarly but, by mid morning, strong winds returned.

I hope you and your DH will not have to wait too long for his heart surgery, Scentia. It is wonderful what can be achieved for patients these days and his level of fitness will serve him well as he recovers. We shall all be here for you and interested to hear of progress.

Yesterday, I enjoyed lunch with some of the theatre Props team at the Babbacombe Bay Café, with which brook2704 is familiar from a happy meeting we had there last month! Due to half term, it was very busy ….. and noisy!

A visit to the dental hygienist awaits me this morning then shopping in Lidl. I hope everyone is as well as possible and that grandMattie has a safe journey to Bristol. Your DD will appreciate your support. Lots of ?????for dear Iris. ?????

Good morning from a still, dark E Kent.
Gosh, Mick, I too hope York isn’t flooded, the Ouse overflows with great ease.
I’m off to Bristol first thing for two nights. DH won’t accompany me, he does feel well enough. Iris’s operation is tomorrow. She’s first on the list. We’ll see how it goes.
The weather was ghastly yesterday, so much wind again, rain and hail.
I hope that everyone with troubles has a gentle day. Carpe diem. ????☀️?

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and dry outside without any wind of strong terms in brackley this morning.
Today ,after housework I will get the bus to Bicester for my usual routine .
Also looking ahead as to my weekend in York , assuming the floods have not reach there ,as the hotel is alongside the river Ouse as well.
Take Care,
Mick
