What is your current and past favourite?

I was really into Fry's Turkish delight once
Crunchies once as a child
Duncan's Walnut whips way back when
Those Lindt balls more recently
Now it's Aldi's milk chocolate hazelnut bars but they are very big, makes for being a total piglet.
Are you going off sweet things as you get older? Sadly, I still love them as much as I always did.

Don’t eat much chocolate, as once started can’t stop. Favourite is Duffys Chocolate, hand made locally, can buy on line as well and it really is chocolate, so you only need a little. Raspberry and cherry flavours my preferred ones. Otherwise anything with caramel in caramel .

Just read this thread, & now I want marshmallows, coconut ice & a Bounty Bar for breakfast ☹️

My favourite would have to be a Bounty, or Cadbury whole nut choc (daren’t buy that as it would be gone in a flash!!!)

There are so many chocolates I’ve loved over the years. Malteesers, caramac, crunchie and any white chocolate. In later years loved the red Lindt balls. Then had my wings clipped when diagnosed with coeliac disease so those red Lindt balls were a no no. But the white ones are ok for me but if I buy them I’ll eat the lot so I tend to stick to savoury now. Really miss Malteesers though. I’m a marshmallow lover. I can eat the whole bag yum and dip them in melted galaxy chocolate and all bets are off.

Since I got older I have gone off most bought cakes, biscuits, and sweets but I do like sugar in my coffee, and I like Mackie's ice cream and Tesco trifle. Never liked beer or spirits.

I used to love Fry's Five Boys and that bar that was different Cadbury's Milk Tray.
Now I live Fry's Chocolate Cream, Fry's Peppermint Cream and Bounty.

Chocolate gingers, though I don't think they come as a bar. I could scoff a whole box at a sitting. So it's a good thing that Chrismas comes only once a year.

I love plain chocolate, especially wrapped around marzipan! Fry’s chocolate creams have always been a favourite and a few years ago Mars did a plain chocolate Mars Bar. Delicious. Also I have recently discovered an independent chocolate bar producer in Cambridge. She was mentioned in the Observer magazine. Expensive but worth it.

Mine is and always has been Cadbury’s Plain Chocolate. But I only eat one square of it a day!

another vote here for milk-chocolate Bounty - yum!

Love white chocolate, especially Milky Bar x

Cadburys Whole nut is my favourite.
Wish I had your discipline Bluesky!

BlueSky Wed 23-Feb-22 11:37:14

Mumofmadboys I honestly don’t fancy more than a taste, but as I’ve said on another thread, I’m still plump!

I always have a treat at the weekend, never on week days. I like Crunchies, Boost bars, Frys peppermint or orange cream bars and Turkish Delights. However I bought a pack 3 of Turkish Delights recently and they were cherry flavoured, not very nice at all.

As a child I loved Milky Bars but now find them far too sweet. My favourite now is a Kennedy’s milk chocolate bar, but as this means a drive up to Orton to the factory shop I very rarely get the chance to eat one. It’s probably just as well grin

I give the white chocolate to my grand children because I don’t like it. They made some homemade rocky road at Christmas, it was lovely. Chocolate with lumps of marshmallow and biscuits. Really bad for you I am sure.

Picnic!

dogsmother Wed 23-Feb-22 12:26:12

To my shame all of the above ?

Pammie1 Wed 23-Feb-22 12:27:07

My very favourite chocolate bar was Cadburys dark chocolate roasted almond. Sadly I’ve not seen them for quite a while no, so presumably they’re no longer available. I really like the indulgently rum and raisin Old Jamaica too.

The large size Milky Bar with the big thick chunks, tastes totally different doesn’t it ? Yummy.

Dark chocolate Toblerone and caramels covered in dark chocolate. Had to give up the latter as they played havoc with my teeth.

Su22 Wed 23-Feb-22 12:35:46

When I was a child many many years ago went pony trekking in Wales and stayed in a youth hostel, in the tuck shop they had Triple Bars a layer of plain, milk and white chocolate only place I ever saw them they were yummy. I do like the recently new Cadbury Caramilk.

maddyone Wed 23-Feb-22 12:40:45
