Good Morning everyone from a cloudy south coast, Wind and rain have died down but the forecast is a bit ambiguous with one showing sunny spells and another showing snow showers. Who knows what we will get?

Had another dizzy spell when I got up at 6am so am beginning to think I will have to seek GP advice. DH has made me some tea and toast and I have improved now but am wary.

Hope Iris is doing well after her latest op. and is soon back to her usual positive self. Safe journey home GM and fingers crossed that the house sale is finally sorted today.

Take care everyone and good wishes to all with health worries for themselves or dear ones.

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry after a lot of rain here last night. A busy day for us. I’m making the SOAP dish for daughter and son in law. Then will pick the grandchildren up from school, give them their tea and take them to their swimming lessons. Afterwards we dash home to eat before going over to see friends we haven’t seen in months.

Himself is reading the news about Putin - apparently he’s invaded the Ukraine. He keeps saying ‘these poor people’. War seems inevitable now. x

Good morning from a dry and less windy NE.
SIL took me shopping while DD had an appointment with her financial advisor. Great excitement as I treated myself to a new mop.
Spent the afternoon sorting clothes and packing them into charity bags. I can now rearrange my wardrobes.
Day to myself today, a little housework and some catching up of TV.
Best wishes to the not so well and speedy recovery to those who have been hospitalised.

Good morning from North Leicestershire. The weather suits the mood of the day, being wet and grey.

Apart from the news being worrying, we heard that our middle daughter and her youngest have both tested +ve and are feeling really poorly.

Another worry is that my oldest and dearest friend is still in hospital and is due to have a ct scan and bone marrow checks. She went in with a renal cyst. Her husband also had to have the dog pts yesterday. She is only allowed family visitors and is so down that she doesn't want to talk on the phone or by message.

Sending love and gentle hugs to all who need them.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a breezy damp Hull. Such driving rain in the night so loud against the windows.
Marydoll I enjoyed readying your post.
Grandmadinosaur enjoy London and The Jersey Boys. I think it’s our fave show in London. grandMattie take care on your journey home, what a trying day for you all yesterday. We’ll hear the full news tomorrow. Scentia so pleased your DH is some safe. I bet all you want to do is cuddle him after all he’s been through.
We had our DGS yesterday and he was kissed to within an inch of his life with not seeing him for over a week. He’s addictive. My DD and SIL popped in and she literally looks ready to pop with only a week to go till new GD puts in an appearance. Although her big sister was 11 days late so we’ll see.
Today a quiet day with going to the gym and just pottering.
Take care everyone and hope Thursday brings everyone moments of joy ?

Good morning all from a damp S Welsh coast, overnight rain but dry at the moment.
We had a lovely day yesterday with our little family which included a blustery walk along the seafront. I enjoyed pushing the buggy, first time I've done that in many a year. Lots of indoor games with the five year old and cuddles with the five week old.

Good news about about * Scentia and Pantglas's Dh's*.
Hope Iris recovers well.
I am sorry about your little dog Gwen it is hard losing a much loved pet ?
Good to see you back Susan.
One of our neighbour's is half Ukranian and is very worried about his remaining family there.

Have a good day everyone.

A very good morning to everyone from a snowy Yorkshire ( thought yesterday's sun was too good to mention!)
This morning i am meant to be meeting 2 girls i went to school with ( *we are all girls, right?*) it's 1 of their birthdays tomorrow, i am only staying an hour as i have my oldest GD at home.

On a more upsetting note, i woke to news of Ukraine, i have a heavy heart for everyone living there.

Just had message to say this morning birthday coffee and cake is cancelled due to weather.

Enjoy your day everyone smile

Good morning from rainy Colchester. Looks like it's going to be a cold, damp day which is usual for DH's birthday. We'll eat out this evening. It's only a short walk into town and a large selection of eateries. The family is coming to celebrate on Sunday.
Love to all?x

Good morning from me in a very wet and drab 4 degrees Derby.

I went straight to your post Scentia and was delighted to see that your husband should be coming home today. I’m so pleased for you both, and so glad that he is doing well.

Thank you for your kind messages about my husband. He is responding very well to the antibiotics.

Good wishes to everyone.
Have an enjoyable day whatever you are up to, and sending love to those with worries and pain thanks
We are living in very troubling times again

Gwen ♥️ thanks

The weather is in sympathy with the dreadful news this morning and it’s hard to think of much else even though there is nothing we as individuals can do. Hoŵever, the good reports of our various invalids helps - fingers crossed for Iris’s recovery and hope that Marydoll can be persuaded to be kinder to herself.

I am hosting the U3A book group this morning, the first time since before the first lockdown and hoping I can find the coffee maker, put away, and have enough decent biscuits. Hairdresser first so best get on.

Good morning from Durham. There was a flurry of snow earlier, but it’s bright and sunny now, but very cold. My garden squirrel - I’ve named it Hazel - is busy around the bird feeders.
Better news today from some GN’s then so sorry to hear of Gwen’s loss - having had kennels in the past, I know first hand how difficult that can be. Their ashes are in the garden and I added a little of DH’s to them as dogs were such a big part of his life. Not surprised but shocked to hear news from Ukraine - poor people indeed.
A quiet day for me before picking up DGS1 from Pre-School later.

TopsyIrene06 Thu 24-Feb-22 09:14:55

Gwenisgreat1. So sorry for your loss.

EkwaNimitee Thu 24-Feb-22 09:15:24

Good morning Mick and everyone from mostly sunny Carlisle where we are getting frequent little snow showers so I am postponing a trip to the garden centre. Maybe after lunch, more likely tomorrow.
Meanwhile some minor jobs/admin/pottering around on the Mac.
Have a good day all.

luluaugust Thu 24-Feb-22 09:23:05

Good morning all from a wet and windy W Kent. Glad to hear your husband is on his way home Scentia and Iris's op is done.
Off to my group meeting this morning, two members who have recently had all clears with cancer now have covid so we shall all be thinking of them. Later hope to see DD2 and GC.
Best wishes to all.

Marydoll Thu 24-Feb-22 09:26:39

A sad day for you Gwen. ?

Thank goodness, the wedding is next week!!❄?⛄

Feelingmyage55 Thu 24-Feb-22 09:33:42

Good morning from a bitterly cold north of Scotland.
scentia best wishes for your husband and hopefully he will take things easy. Glad Iris has had her op. What a lot for her to go through.
I am meeting a friend today and hoping the cafe is not too busy as it is half term but I need to make the effort towards normality. My daughter has been going to work as usual for the last two years and has not known so many people with Covid until the last two weeks.
Going to pop into the garden centre after I see my friend. Who knows what I may treat myself to.
Have the best day you can.

Beechnut Thu 24-Feb-22 09:34:05

Happy Birthday wishes for MrPittcity ???

Beechnut Thu 24-Feb-22 09:36:02

We got married in April Marydoll and it snowed during the reception.

Grandmabatty Thu 24-Feb-22 09:51:15

Gwenisgreat I'm sorry to hear about your dog. ? I miss my last one still after five years.

Chrissielou Thu 24-Feb-22 09:57:24

Some blue sky here in Oxfordshire this morning. I am full of cold so not working today, not covid thankfully.
Scentia very pleased to hear your husband is recovering so well.
Gwenisgreat Im very sad for you.
An easy day for me with tissues to hand.
May the sun shine for you today.

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 24-Feb-22 09:58:06

Morning all from a wet but blue-skied Oxfordshire. I have been trying to chat with my brother in Australia this morning, but his wi-fi is hopeless. My Book Group is meeting at lunchtime in our village cafe, so that should be fun. Then this evening a group of us will chat on Zoom. One or two of my friends are still too nervous to meet face to face so we are still using Zoom.

hollysteers Thu 24-Feb-22 10:01:33

Good morning Mick, and all from a brighter northwest coast.
Bon voyage Mick, have a good time.

House stuff today then off to to spend time tomorrow with friend 50 miles away who has had a detached retina op, the other eye awaiting and very down.
Yesterday to lunchtime recital which I didn’t enjoy as felt off colour and it was contemporary classical music. Only enjoyed one piece, but all well played. Then visited my best friends 92 year old mother recently transferred to nursing home here. Had covid test and clear, so it must be my dratted stomach making me under the (improving) weather.
Bought a striped top from M&S, stripes being a great weakness (I must have been a gondolier in a previous life) as it looks very like a beloved classic light cotton Breton top from the 70s, but the lockdown lard as someone amusingly called it makes my little tummy rather evident as it’s fitted.
Good news Scentia and thought to Fanny and Iris.
Will read through properly later.

gillgran Thu 24-Feb-22 10:46:57

Good Morning to you all from N., Cambs., Wet so far today, hopefully dryer & brighter later.

Sorry to hear your news Gwenisgreat.

Thinking of all of you with health & family problems.

I'm shocked & saddened by Putin's chilling & threatening message to the world.

Take Care, my friends.
