Good morning all from Glasgow, where it's snowing. Thank goodness I don't need to go out, but poor DD is back in the office for the first time in two years.
That's good news that your husband will be coming home Scentia and hoping all is well with Iris and GM.
I have York envy, Mick. ? our local coach company are offering day trips all over Scotland and Northern England. DH and I are sorely tempted by some of them. Too early just now for me, healthwise, but we will probably do some later in the year, as foreign holidays are no longer possible, I am uninsurable! ?
I have little plans for today, my GP is phoning to check on me yet again, but I never know what time he will phone. After two years of hearing nothing, I now cannot get rid of him!
Yesterday was full on and I'm paying the price now! So a gentle day for me.
My plan is to revamp our weekly parish bulletin, it's extremely hard to read and extremely boring. Today will be spent footering on my PC, designing a new one. I am such a geek, when it comes to IT, I nerdily ( invented word) enjoy such tasks! ?
The electrician turned up early at 8am, throwing all my plans into disarray! However, I know his family well, through his aunt and of course (me being me), we had a verylong chat.
He was finished quite early, so DH drove me to Lidl. I was so relieved, as I hate driving in the one way system in the town centre. Furthermore, if I had been on my own, I would not have managed to buy as much. The icing on the cake was the £10 off shopping voucher.
I almost forgot to look for a £1.50 veggie box. Then I spotted a woman cherry picking (excuse the pun) from other boxes, to add to hers. So dishonest! ?
A quick dash home and off to the hairdresser's, where as usual, I had a lovely time gossiping, chatting.
Apparently DD had posted photos of the hen do on Facebook and the staff wanted to see the ones from my phone, all fifty of them! That must be why my phone has run out of storage! ?
I had to spending the rest of the idea lying down, because as usual, I got carried away, being out and about.
I then remembered that I hadn't looked at the veggie box. There was a cornucopia of fruit and veg, but the best was the three tubs of blueberries.
After dinner, I had the bright idea of making jam, but couldn't face the palaver of getting the jam maker down from the high cupboards. Light bulb moment, ? my bread maker makes jam!
I am now the proud owner of 1kg of blueberry jam, costing less than £1, with the absolute minimum of effort. All I had to do was wash the breadmaker tin.
#smug gran.
Wishing you all the day possible and a gentle day for all who are struggling.
