Good morning all from a very chilly Glasgow, but it is NOT raining, that's all that matters!

Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Oldudders! ?

GM, what a stressful day for you and your DH. I used to be such a confident driver, but I would feel the same as you. Have a gentle day and be good to yourself. Hopefully Mr GM will feel better, now the scan has been done.

Thank you all for your good wishes for today.
I am so looking forward to today, a day I thought I would never see, for a number of reasons.
I feeling quite emotional, its been such a difficult two years. My family, close friends and cousins will be there and of course, my precious Dollie! I will be all talked out.

DS2, suffers from anaphylaxis and, twice as a toddler, his heart stopped, from anaphylactic shock. He was such a poorly child and needed a nebuliser daily until he was six. We had so many scares with him, like his mother, allergic to so many drugs. Now he is a strapping six footer!
He has a special place in my heart for that reason, my work is now done and I will be glad to hand him over to my lovely DIL, she is so right for him.

This will be a difficult day for DD, but I know she is happy for her brother. Her beautiful, unworn wedding dress is still hanging in our spare room, but she is talking about giving it away to someone, who cannot afford one or selling it and donating the money to charity.
My daughter has a very generous spirit. ?

DH has a speech prepared, complete with props, relating to DS' childhood. DS has no idea what is to come. Neither have I, if I am honest and I'm a wee bit apprehensive, since he will not share the contents with me. He had the guests howling with laughter at DS1's wedding, with many of the jokes about his h married life with me. However, I let him away with nothing and retaliated with my own version!

I may share some photos, if I pass muster! However, I am not very photogenic, so I may crop my head!! I really don't like getting my picture taken at all.

Have a good day, whatever your plans.

PS, a taster! No heads were used in this shot!

Morning Mick, morning All. A dry and bright start to our corner of Somerset.

Helpful optician yesterday reassured me about eye health. Mr C’s blood test also secured him an appointment for ear wax removal after previously being told it wasn’t available at the surgery. Result! A well cooked lunch in a small cafe followed, suitably bolstered Mr C headed for the barber while I wandered a local churchyard in what proved to be the only dry hour of the afternoon.

Hope today is less stressful grandmattie, wishing your husband well tomorrow. Strange how our children turn into our parents stilllearning, hope peace will be restored. Mr C is prone to nocturnal nosebleeds mick, can be very disconcerting. Pleased yours was soon under control.

Wishing you all the very best day marydoll. Will there be photos?

Take care everyone. It’s a sad and scary world out there. Hope Friday is gentle with us all.

Good morning everyone from DD1s house here in Cambridge where it’s a grey and drizzly start to the day.
Hoping all goes well with the wedding today marydoll and many congratulations to the happy couple! ?❤️ ?
We arrived here late afternoon yesterday after an easy journey on the Inverness to Luton flight. Today the DGSs are at school and the others working so DH and I are going to have a meander in the centre of Cambridge and do a bit of shopping
Yesterday sounded awful GM hope you have a much better day today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Rain in the forecast.
I'm meeting a couple of family members at Westfield, Stratford for some shopping but mostly coffee and chat.
Hope the sun is North of the border for Marydoll and family.
Love to all ? x

An early good morning after a very early wake up due to unnecessary family drama last night after I committed the offence of going to a concert and switching my phone off, not having informed anyone of said intention. When did I become the child? I am, as they say, fit to be tied!!

Anyhow, I really want to wish Marydoll and family the very best of days, much happiness to you all.

Glad yesterday’s over for you GrandMattie, I do sympathise about the driving, well done you.

Horrible start to your day Mick, I hope you enjoy the rest of it. Good wishes to everyone else too???

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s not raining at the moment.

I’m with you on those driving conditions Mattie. The first time I took my father in law for hospital treatment we came out and I had no idea where to go and ended up lost in dark countryside.

When I went out to the mail box yesterday I noticed my new fence panels had been delivered so I’ve put them in the garage for now.

Weekly shop this morning and I’d like to do some sewing this afternoon.

Have a good day all especially all the Marydoll’s ???????

Good Morning everyone from a dull and dry south coast. 6.6c.
Forecast is for more of the same today. Hope the sun manages to shine in Glasgow for the wedding Marydoll sunshine.

Thinking of you both Mattie as another stressful day lies ahead. Fingers crossed for good news for your DH.

Might have an empty today as my DH might be going out on his bike - or so he said last night. We'll see. I need to finish my click and collect order for tomorrow and have some pottering in mind.

Thinking of all the frightened women and children trying to escape the death and destruction being wrought on Ukraine by the Moscow madman. It is heart-breaking and there seems to be no real answer or end in sight to it all. History repeating itself.

Take care everyone and be grateful for what we have. Can only hope that the situation eases.

Have a lovely one Marydoll

grandMattie Fri 04-Mar-22 06:33:58

Oh, and Hank you for the links to various organisations helping Ukraine. I shall try to find time today to look into it. ?

Feelingmyage55 Fri 04-Mar-22 06:33:32

grandmattie ?. What a stressful time.

grandMattie Fri 04-Mar-22 06:32:38

You are outed by you, Ash! Happy welding anniversary. When I was learning to type several words used to give me trouble (in no particular order) - surgery became sugary, wedding was weeding and funeral funreal! ?

Good morning Mick and everyone from a wet dark and misty Hull. Up so early this morning. DH still asleep. That nose bleed won’t have been nice to wake up to Mick pleased it’s over and you can get on with your day.
grandMattie it sounded like a traumatic day for you yesterday even though it went well. Hope you DHs procedure goes well tomorrow.
It was lovely to receive my lovely tulip grandMattie tote bag yesterday and I shall look stylish walking into the gym with it.
Today is a lunch in Beverley with DD I think a last lunch together for a while before new grandaughter puts in an appearance. Then later picking up DGS from school.
Thinking of the Ukrainian people again as Russia tightens it’s grip.
Take Care and hope Friday brings moments of joy.

Feelingmyage55 Fri 04-Mar-22 06:32:12

Good morning from a chilly north of Scotland. I’ve called in especially with very best wishes and blessings to the Marydoll family.

Ali23 Fri 04-Mar-22 06:30:20

Good morning from Wells ...a bit nippy out there, but the birds are singing.
Time to pack up and go home today, but we’re softening the blow with a trip to Spaulding on the way.

Fingers crossed for a better day today Grandmattie. And well done for the driving.

Ashcombe Fri 04-Mar-22 06:29:10

Good morning all from a chilly but dry Torbay with sunshine promised!

That driving scenario wouldn’t suit me either, grandMattie, but well done for completing it safely. I hope the dentist is gentle. Help with gardening or any household jobs is well worth having. I’m a great believer in paying someone to do jobs when possible, releasing my time and energy for activities I enjoy!

This morning, I have to attend an extra committee meeting at The Little Theatre to finalise our programme for the next season. Besides our own 10 plays, we are including extra one night stands from visiting performers in an attempt to recoup some of our losses from the past two two years.
,
Have a wonderful day, especially those with special events to attend, like weldings (DH's word for them!) I’m hoping to add a photo of our cake. ?????

FannyCornforth Fri 04-Mar-22 06:25:30

Gosh, what a stressful day GM
Hope you have a much more relaxing day today (after you’ve been to the dentist, of course!)
I didn’t realise that it was the special day Glasgow - I know that it will be a fabulous day for all concerned!
More worries about DH, he’s hallucinating again sad
Another call to the doctors, thank goodness they are so reliable.
Wishing everyone a good day and sending love and strength to those with worries and struggles x

Morning Michael! Market day for you. How lovely! I only have mini pop-up markets here and they're few and far between. I've been to some of the larger regular ones down South and they have such a congenial atmosphere. I had a surprise delivery of some plants yesterday. (Thought they were scheduled for May!). Temperature's forecast for
reasonable so I might try to get them into the ground. Bit worried about the risk of frost yet, though. Aah me..... the trials! There are various lovely signs that Spring is indeed underway and I'll happily settle for that. Have a good day everyone. Cheers!

grandMattie Fri 04-Mar-22 06:12:23

Goodness, what happened?
All went well yesterday. I sat for two hours waiting for DH’s scan. This was just in case he didn’t want to drive the 40 miles home. He didn’t. With my heart in my mouth, I drove back. I loathe driving,- in unknown places, in the dark, on busy roads, for more than about 30 minutes. We came home, I was a wreck, in tears… then had to make dinner. Neither of us was hungry but needed food. Certainly nothing spectacular!
Today, after a large breakfast, DH is fasting again. This time for the sigmoidoscopy tomorrow!
I’ve got a long dentist appointment this morning and a young man is coming to do the garden. I’m minded to ask him to come monthly.
The weathe4 looks lovely in Glasgow, so ?all will go well today. ❤️
Carpe diem, dear friends. ?????☀️❤️

grandMattie Fri 04-Mar-22 06:06:16

Good morning from a still dark, overcast E Kent.
