Do you unpack your case on an overnight break?

If you are just staying overnight in a hotel/B&B, do you unpack all of your clothes/shoes into the drawers/cupboards, or do you simply live out of your case?
Arrive at hotel 2 pm, depart 10.00 am the next morning.

I joined a couple for an overnight stay in a hotel, (separate rooms obviously!), they unpacked every single item into drawers and wardrobes. I found this a bit ridiculous.
What do you do in the same situation? x

(and - couldn't possibly put my nice, clean things straight in a drawer - where other people have put their stuff - ugh!)

Not really. Assuming it was for a function, I'd hang my outfit for the evening up on arrival but thst would be all. I wouldn't have that many things anyway as I'd probably travel home in the same clothes I travelled there in (unless it was really hot weather), so posh dress and accessories, clean undies, nightwear and toiletries only.

Once when young and duh brain, in a smart hotel with my dad, unpacked all nice clothes into a wardrobe and then forgot to repack them. Luckily, hotel posted them back to me. So don’t unpack!

I unpack what I need for the next day. Even it's a work trip, I like a hotel room to look tidy and relaxing, so I would put the stuff away. But only necessities.

No never why would you ….just take out what you need for the night that’s just over complicating it all

Me neither!

But, if I'm staying longer I might use the cubes

On a two week tour of India I had everything packed in travel pockets - one each for underwear, day tops, evening tops, trousers etc. I used my suitcase as a cabin trunk, never unpacking and always folding and putting things away. Shopping was slipped under all the pockets. Unlike my fellow travellers I never had to unpack to ‘tidy’ my case and could find anything I wanted.

After leaving some expensive makeup and a very expensive evening dress in a Blackpool hotel, never to be seen again one year-NEVER AGAIN!!! Just not worth the risk, it's some knickers toothbrush ,makeup , jeans and jumper, why put in a wardrobe and drawers? Silly!

I unpack toiletries and toothbrush etc and take them to the bathroom. Also unpack phone chargers, out of necessity. Otherwise everything else stays in the case, even know if we're staying for more than one night.

An extra 'know' crept in there.
