Good Morning Everyone,
Its a twilight start again this morning , it looks like the start of nice day with seasonal temperatures.
Today , bus travel to Bicester and back to watch the cycling on TV.
I received notification of a coach trip mystery weekend ,a one night stop over , I worked out the clue awhile ago , Saint Tudno is where its heading.
Also looked into a Harrogate return, but by rail, and self booking a Hotel , the one I used when I last did it seems to be back to normal as regards to things.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from cloud/sun in S Hants.
Many congratulations Shazza ?
Hope your DH is improved gMattie
monk ?
I’m on the phones for the voluntary drives today, so I won’t go out for long, just a walk. My daughter and the grandchildren went to Winchester Cathedral last night for the ‘science and light’ show, they were all very taken with it
Enjoy your day all. ??

Hello everyone! First things first..... Shazza ?wonderful news. Wonderful..... Just read through all your goings on. A wonderful and pretty perfect picture of the tapestry of life. We have sad, glad, fun and misery. The complete mix as it should be. Heart goes out to the sad and anxious. Unfortunately we all seem to get our turn of this but thankfully we are a resilient species in general. I love all your general ongoings and little things that lift the spirit on a daily basis. An extremely fine bunch of people contribute here in my opinion and I find that heartwarming. I don't always pen but I do always read. More power to your elbows! My highlight today will be a local lunch with a friend. Lovely. Mind you, I've had some unexpected surprises recently by way of invitations and acquaintance renewals so it's amazing what a day can bring out of the blue. I live in hope! Cheers everyone!

Morning from an overcast Staffs. Congrats to Shazza on new baby, condolences to Monk and heartfelt sympathy to Ginster and her DD.
DH is still in hospital expected to be discharged today. Failed catheter trial yesterday. He is hard of hearing and too polite to be assertive. So wish I could be there for (junior?) doc’s rounds. Told him he must insist on prostate being investigated ASAP; his father and brother both had prostate cancer. Worrying times; if they just send him home under GP care it will be some time before he can get an appointment let alone a referral to a Urologist.
Thank you for letting me ‘vent’

Firstly congratulations to Shazza on the birth of a new granddaughter, enjoy your cuddles.

We are food shopping first thing this morning, no plans for later.

Have an enjoyable Thursday everyone xxx

Good morning all from our corner of the S Welsh coast, it is dry after overnight rain.
Our DD has returned from her holiday in the USA and has kept us entertained with tales of her travels. It is a huge relief to have her home though with the international news so awful.
Congratulations Shazza your dgd is a good weight. Our baby dgd is six weeks old today, enjoy your cuddles, I sure you can't wait.
Gingster I hope your DD's treatment on Friday goes well, my best wishes to you both.

Take care everyone.
Lovely photos Grandmadinosaur.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. I had a rough night. Covid has given me the worst head cold I've ever had.
Today will be spent hydrating and snoozing.
Love to all ? x

hollysteers Thu 10-Mar-22 08:27:01

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Firstly, thoughts to Gingster, a worrying time for you.
Enjoyed the lunchtime concert yesterday, although the programme was not exactly my cup of tea, technically it was first rate and a full house. Then coffee with friend Gabalot who is a real tonic, before dashing off to see friends mother as arranged in her nursing home. Blow me, on my way, I spotted her sitting in the window of a coffee shop in her wheelchair with carers. I joined her there and walked part of the way back to the home.
Today, taking a coach to the Lake District from a new pick up point. It’s a 25 minute drive as not all trips pick up from the station round the corner, which is so handy, but will give it a go. Don’t enjoy longish drives, never had, even as a young thing,
Hope you have a good day and prayers for Ukraine ??

monk08 Thu 10-Mar-22 08:19:09

Sorry to hear the worrying news Ginster sending ??.

Marydoll Thu 10-Mar-22 08:12:15

Gingster, I was so upset to read your post. I have no suitable words, I cannot imagine your pain, but I can offer my prayers.

brook2704 Thu 10-Mar-22 08:11:31

Sorry to hear that worrying news Gingster sending ?

Also sending condolences to monk on the loss of your friend ?

Grandmabatty Thu 10-Mar-22 08:09:16

Good morning all from Polmont where it's 10° and cloudy. Congratulations Shazza on the birth of your granddaughter. Definitely a good weight. Gingster I'm really sorry to hear about your daughter's health. She'll be glad you are there to support her. Monk ? condolences on the loss of your friend.
Yesterday was a fun day. I picked up dgs1 from playgroup and then it was a train day. When he's not being a dinosaur, he's a train. I was a massive freight train (no comments please?)and a steam train. That was more like it as I huffed and puffed "doing a run" as he calls it. I have to run up and down the hall chasing him. His dad picked him up just before teatime.
Today will be a quiet day. I had dreadful dreams in the early hours and they are still bothering me. I'm not sure what I'll get up to today. Have a good day all.

Grammaretto Thu 10-Mar-22 08:09:11

Good Morning all from the Scottish Borders. Not a bad day. The washing dried outside yesterday so Spring is here. A lot of work done by 3 of us in my "new" border yesterday. Later I went into Edinburgh to hear my DGS play his clarinet in concert. So wonderful yet mingled with sadness as I know how much DH would have loved it.

Congratulations Shazza on the new arrival! Such wonderful news.

I filled in the census yesterday and have plenty of things today too.
Wishing everyone a happy and pain free day.

Serendipity22 Thu 10-Mar-22 08:08:24

Goooooood morning one and all from a bright Yorkshire, certainly makes you cheerful and puts a 'spring in your step '.
I'm surprised I'm so jovial considering i have woken twice through the right, reached for my phone and read the latest news on Ukraine...

Meeting a friend who i used to work with this morning, it will be our last meet up before she flies to Australia for 3 months, FANNNNNNNTASTIC.

Enjoy your day everyone ..smile

sunshine

ShazzaKanazza Thu 10-Mar-22 08:05:24

That is so worrying Ginster. You must be all churned up with the upset??

BlueSapphire Thu 10-Mar-22 08:03:48

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton. I have the towels in the washing machine already as it looks a good drying day.

Cut the front grass.yesterday afternoon when I got back from the well-being cafe. I shall do the huge back lawn on Saturday if it stays dry; must also continue pruning some.overgrown bushes,.so should have the garden waste bins full for collection.

A Sainsbury's delivery later this morning, and ballet class after lunch; may walk home afterwards so I can call in at the post office with a parcel.

Congratulations Shazza on the birth of your new DGD, a good weight, my own DD was 9lb 3oz.

Wishes to all for a good day.

Gingster Thu 10-Mar-22 07:57:31

Good morning all and it’s bright and warmer here in Essex.

Yesterdays news from Dd was disappointing and upsetting. She has more cancer sites. I’ll be glad when the immunotherapy starts on Friday. ?. Another op is on the table! ?.

Congrats on your new baby gd - Shazza*. Lovely news.

Hoping you all have a pleasant day. ?

monk08 Thu 10-Mar-22 07:53:03

Good morning all from the Black country.
Firstly congratulations on the new arrival Shazza
Didn't sleep well again last night we heard late yesterday evening our friend had passed away.
Also had things on my mind related to the new neighbours who haven't moved in yet and want to make changes that will affect us. We've lived here nearly 50yrs very happily but now I'm feeling unsettled.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some ?.

brook2704 Thu 10-Mar-22 07:51:19

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cloudy but dry and cool at about 3º
A very big congratulations Shazza on your new baby granddaughter! Such lovely times ahead ??
Yesterdays plans changed when DD2 messaged asking if I wanted to meet up to do a bit of shopping, so of course I said yes - as you do! We had a nice time browsing the shops and chatting.
Today I’m planning the aerobics class at the gym and if it stays dry a bit more pottering in the garden
Lovely photos grandmadinosaur I really like Palma and we’re off there ourselves at the end of next week! Enjoy your day out today wherever you go and your meal this evening
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

ShazzaKanazza Thu 10-Mar-22 07:51:19

Thankyou all for your messages. grandMattie I prefer that to Full of woe lol. She looks a little bruiser.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 10-Mar-22 07:51:17

Good morning all from bright and dry Harrogate
I agree with Pantglas Mick. Llandudno is your mystery trip. St Tudno’s church (from where the town gets its name) is on the Great Orme overlooking the town. I hope to be there next month!
Had a lousy night last night, see if I can muster the energy to go into town this morning after the Sainsburies delivery. I’m filling a suitcase to send to Ukraine, so can get some extras in Poundland to help them. I bought some bits in Home Bargains yesterday in Ripon.
Have the best day you can folks

Marydoll Thu 10-Mar-22 07:49:25

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow. It's been raining, but the sun is poking through the clouds.

GM, glad to hear that you had a better sleep and your DH must be delighted that your daughter is coming to visit.
I'm sorry to hear Ash, that your DH is suffering. It's not unexpected for me to have reactions to medication, but surprisingly, I'm neither up nor down with my infusion. It was the tablets, I couldn't tolerate. I hope he improves soon and you can enjoy your time together.

What wonderful news Shazza and yes, understandably also a bittersweet moment, after seeing those poor mums in the bombed maternity hospital in Ukraine. I was in tears last night.
It makes me be thankful for what we have, the situation in Ukraine is unbearable.

Today we are off for a run down the coast in DH's New car. Thank goodness my angina has settled down a wee bit, DH was for calling an ambulance, but I resisted. Alesson learned, not to overdo it.
Firstly off to Prestwick, for a walk along the front, a visit to my favourite boutique, I need absolutely nothing ? and then onto Troon to our favourite restaurant for lunch. Warm, waterproof coat and hat required! A bit of a contrast with your resort Grandmadinosaur!! Enjoy.

After collecting the car yesterday, we spent an hour driving around in circles, in the cinema car park, adjacent to the dealership. Neither DH nor I have driven an automatic car in thirty years and that was always abroad,
DH has always driven big cars and I sort of lost confidence driving his, after a lorry ran into the back of me, when I was stationary at traffic lights. It took a long time to get my confidence back, so much so, that I only drove my own smaller car.
On our last holiday, I realised that if DH became ill, I would be forced to drive it. ?
However, yesterday, after trying out his, I love it! He will have to fight for it now. ?
The best part of all was the care pack, according to DH, he was so excited about the contents. Changed days from a bottle of car shampoo, some wax and a few cloths. grin

Wishing you all, the best of days and improved health , for those in the sick bay.
Baubles, I'm keeping your DD in my prayers, I hope she is not too unwell.

Scentia Thu 10-Mar-22 07:45:47

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is sunny ?
Off to work for a few hours then I will be picking the children up from nursery and off to gymnastics. I may have to stop the gymnastics after Easter as the little one is crawling and all over the place, I am a danger to myself trying to keep up with the pair of them in the gym??

Shazza congratulations to you all, a new baby is such a joy. Oh that smell is so beautiful ❤️
Good vibes are winging their way to you all for a peaceful day.
❤️Poor poor Ukrainian people❤️

grandMattie Thu 10-Mar-22 07:42:01

Congratulations shazza, what a good weight! Nice to know both are healthy.
Remember “Wednesday’s child fears no foe”!
