Good Morning Everyone,
Its a twilight start again this morning , it looks like the start of nice day with seasonal temperatures.
Today , bus travel to Bicester and back to watch the cycling on TV.
I received notification of a coach trip mystery weekend ,a one night stop over , I worked out the clue awhile ago , Saint Tudno is where its heading.
Also looked into a Harrogate return, but by rail, and self booking a Hotel , the one I used when I last did it seems to be back to normal as regards to things.
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dry and just getting light.

It’s bedroom and bathroom cleaning today and I might pamper myself later.

After ironing and sewing yesterday I looked through my clothes and realised there are some that either haven’t been worn yet or haven’t seen the light of day for a while. I hope to change that with the coming seasons.

Have a good day all and hope there aren’t too many worries ???

A very late (for me) Good morning from a bright E Kent.
I was out a my Lent prayer group last night and saw the new new moon clutching the just visible old moon. Lovely sight.
I took a herbal sleeping pill last night, cause of my “late” rise.
I hope DH has slept with all these painkillers inside him.
I’ve got beds to change, etc., today. DD has decided to visit, which will cheer her dad up no end.
Have a good day, dear virtual friends, Carpe diem. ?????☀️❤️??

Good morning, all, from a calm and cloudy Torbay.

Yesterday afternoon, some of us struggled to stay awake for a talk about Timbuktu at Wednesday Club! I did my best to look interested since I was hosting but the warmth of the room and the soporific voice of the speaker made staying alert difficult.

No plans for today, not least because DH is still not fully recovered from his alendronic infusion from 10 days ago. Next time we must avoid plans in the fortnight following the treatment.

Wishing you all a good day. ??????

Pantglas2 Thu 10-Mar-22 06:39:40

Morning Mick and Beechnut from a dry and lightening north Wales ??????? - St Tudno hotel in Llandudno is lovely with fabulous food and views over the bay!

I’m trotting to town there later for bits and pieces for the ‘oliday and might treat us to ☕️ and ? if I’m allowed a wander around TKMaxx....Mr PG is easily led?

Will pop back later and read about all your doings - hope those unwell or with loved ones suffering, have a better day ?

Gagagran Thu 10-Mar-22 06:43:00

Good Morning Mick, Beechnut and all who follow from a cloudy south coast. 11c and set to be around that temperature all day.

I have two parcels to return from online buys and also visit the library this morning. This afternoon it's WI, which is always enjoyable. Luckily I had a better sleep so should not be falling asleep in the talk from a local lavender farmer!

DD completed on her flat and got the keys yesterday and moved some things in. The big move is tomorrow when the bed and sofa are due to be delivered. She will then get it all put to rights over the weekend with the help of her DS and DH. We may go to view on Sunday but not definitely decided yet. Depends on a number of things.

Sending positive vibes to GM and all who have worries or health problems and especially to all those suffering so much in and from Ukraine. It's a nightmare scenario.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Morning Mick and all

Haven’t opened the curtains yet, so no idea what it’s like outside, I am enjoying the peace and quiet.

Sorting out the two big spare rooms today, making up the beds etc (I really dislike making up beds)

We have the Imp late afternoon as his brother is going to another birthday party, he is extremely happy that he scored the first goal in his first football tournament yesterday. (The 7yr old not The Imp)

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

Morning Mick, morning All from a mild, damp corner of Somerset

Been busy hosting friends. Really enjoying their company bit goodness, I’d forgotten how tiring it can be. They’re off home after lunch and I plan to do - nothing

Apologies, I’ve not kept up with everyone’s days.

Take care, hope Thursday is gentle with us all.

ShazzaKanazza Thu 10-Mar-22 07:17:22

Good morning Mick and everyone from a bright Hull. 16 degrees today same as yesterday. ?

Last night at 8 o’clock our new granddaughter was born safe and well at home. We went over to see her while the midwives were clearing up. She’s a little beauty with masses of dark hair and 9lb 4. My DD is a slender girl so you can imagine the bump size.
Feel happy but also sad for all those mothers in Ukraine who weren’t as lucky to have a baby in warmth and safety ? such terrible war crimes going on.
Today we will go back over and looking forward to pics of big sister meeting her baby sis this morning.
Have a lovely day everyone and hope Thursday brings moments of joy?

Urmstongran Thu 10-Mar-22 07:21:14

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s a cool start with white cloud at present. ??? later is the forecast though. Goody.

I will put a wash load on soon - we have free electricity from 9am for two hours every morning. Himself jokes I HAVE to get my shower in at that time too. Yeah right.

My sister rang me yesterday. She & her husband retired along the coast to Estapona 18 months ago. She says they are settling in nicely and she feels more secure now all the necessary registration has been completed. It took months apparently to do everything. We made tentative arrangements to meet up late summer time. I haven’t seen her since our mum’s funeral four years ago owing to various reasons.

Have a good Thursday all who can. x

Urmstongran Thu 10-Mar-22 07:23:58

X posts ShazzaK - CONGRATULATIONS on the safe arrival of a baby girl in your family! ? ?

Grandmadinosaur Thu 10-Mar-22 07:31:10

Good morning from a cool as yet Palma.
Big congrats to Shazza and all the family on her new GD. Lovely news and yes she is a big baby I’ve seen a photo.
We had a very long walk yesterday along the waterfront down to Molinar. Then had a menu del dia and walked back.

I think we will get a bus out somewhere today. This evening we are booked into the hotel restaurant that only opens Thurs to Sat. It gets excellent reviews so looking forward to that.

baubles Thu 10-Mar-22 07:35:50

Good morning Mick, morning all from damp South Lanarkshire.

Huge congratulations on the safe arrival of your new granddaughter Shazza.

This morning we are going to do a supermarket shop for the Covid pair and will also pick up some M&S treats for them. It’s a long way just to drop things off at the door but I’ll feel better seeing them for a moment if only from a few feet away.

Hope everyone has a good day. ??

grandMattie Thu 10-Mar-22 07:42:01

Congratulations shazza, what a good weight! Nice to know both are healthy.
Remember “Wednesday’s child fears no foe”!

Scentia Thu 10-Mar-22 07:45:47

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is sunny ?
Off to work for a few hours then I will be picking the children up from nursery and off to gymnastics. I may have to stop the gymnastics after Easter as the little one is crawling and all over the place, I am a danger to myself trying to keep up with the pair of them in the gym??

Shazza congratulations to you all, a new baby is such a joy. Oh that smell is so beautiful ❤️
Good vibes are winging their way to you all for a peaceful day.
❤️Poor poor Ukrainian people❤️

Marydoll Thu 10-Mar-22 07:49:25

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow. It's been raining, but the sun is poking through the clouds.

GM, glad to hear that you had a better sleep and your DH must be delighted that your daughter is coming to visit.
I'm sorry to hear Ash, that your DH is suffering. It's not unexpected for me to have reactions to medication, but surprisingly, I'm neither up nor down with my infusion. It was the tablets, I couldn't tolerate. I hope he improves soon and you can enjoy your time together.

What wonderful news Shazza and yes, understandably also a bittersweet moment, after seeing those poor mums in the bombed maternity hospital in Ukraine. I was in tears last night.
It makes me be thankful for what we have, the situation in Ukraine is unbearable.

Today we are off for a run down the coast in DH's New car. Thank goodness my angina has settled down a wee bit, DH was for calling an ambulance, but I resisted. Alesson learned, not to overdo it.
Firstly off to Prestwick, for a walk along the front, a visit to my favourite boutique, I need absolutely nothing ? and then onto Troon to our favourite restaurant for lunch. Warm, waterproof coat and hat required! A bit of a contrast with your resort Grandmadinosaur!! Enjoy.

After collecting the car yesterday, we spent an hour driving around in circles, in the cinema car park, adjacent to the dealership. Neither DH nor I have driven an automatic car in thirty years and that was always abroad,
DH has always driven big cars and I sort of lost confidence driving his, after a lorry ran into the back of me, when I was stationary at traffic lights. It took a long time to get my confidence back, so much so, that I only drove my own smaller car.
On our last holiday, I realised that if DH became ill, I would be forced to drive it. ?
However, yesterday, after trying out his, I love it! He will have to fight for it now. ?
The best part of all was the care pack, according to DH, he was so excited about the contents. Changed days from a bottle of car shampoo, some wax and a few cloths. grin

Wishing you all, the best of days and improved health , for those in the sick bay.
Baubles, I'm keeping your DD in my prayers, I hope she is not too unwell.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 10-Mar-22 07:51:17

Good morning all from bright and dry Harrogate
I agree with Pantglas Mick. Llandudno is your mystery trip. St Tudno’s church (from where the town gets its name) is on the Great Orme overlooking the town. I hope to be there next month!
Had a lousy night last night, see if I can muster the energy to go into town this morning after the Sainsburies delivery. I’m filling a suitcase to send to Ukraine, so can get some extras in Poundland to help them. I bought some bits in Home Bargains yesterday in Ripon.
Have the best day you can folks

ShazzaKanazza Thu 10-Mar-22 07:51:19

Thankyou all for your messages. grandMattie I prefer that to Full of woe lol. She looks a little bruiser.

brook2704 Thu 10-Mar-22 07:51:19

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cloudy but dry and cool at about 3º
A very big congratulations Shazza on your new baby granddaughter! Such lovely times ahead ??
Yesterdays plans changed when DD2 messaged asking if I wanted to meet up to do a bit of shopping, so of course I said yes - as you do! We had a nice time browsing the shops and chatting.
Today I’m planning the aerobics class at the gym and if it stays dry a bit more pottering in the garden
Lovely photos grandmadinosaur I really like Palma and we’re off there ourselves at the end of next week! Enjoy your day out today wherever you go and your meal this evening
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

monk08 Thu 10-Mar-22 07:53:03

Good morning all from the Black country.
Firstly congratulations on the new arrival Shazza
Didn't sleep well again last night we heard late yesterday evening our friend had passed away.
Also had things on my mind related to the new neighbours who haven't moved in yet and want to make changes that will affect us. We've lived here nearly 50yrs very happily but now I'm feeling unsettled.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some ?.

Gingster Thu 10-Mar-22 07:57:31

Good morning all and it’s bright and warmer here in Essex.

Yesterdays news from Dd was disappointing and upsetting. She has more cancer sites. I’ll be glad when the immunotherapy starts on Friday. ?. Another op is on the table! ?.

Congrats on your new baby gd - Shazza*. Lovely news.

Hoping you all have a pleasant day. ?

BlueSapphire Thu 10-Mar-22 08:03:48

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton. I have the towels in the washing machine already as it looks a good drying day.

Cut the front grass.yesterday afternoon when I got back from the well-being cafe. I shall do the huge back lawn on Saturday if it stays dry; must also continue pruning some.overgrown bushes,.so should have the garden waste bins full for collection.

A Sainsbury's delivery later this morning, and ballet class after lunch; may walk home afterwards so I can call in at the post office with a parcel.

Congratulations Shazza on the birth of your new DGD, a good weight, my own DD was 9lb 3oz.

Wishes to all for a good day.

ShazzaKanazza Thu 10-Mar-22 08:05:24

That is so worrying Ginster. You must be all churned up with the upset??

Serendipity22 Thu 10-Mar-22 08:08:24

Goooooood morning one and all from a bright Yorkshire, certainly makes you cheerful and puts a 'spring in your step '.
I'm surprised I'm so jovial considering i have woken twice through the right, reached for my phone and read the latest news on Ukraine...

Meeting a friend who i used to work with this morning, it will be our last meet up before she flies to Australia for 3 months, FANNNNNNNTASTIC.

Enjoy your day everyone ..smile

sunshine

Grammaretto Thu 10-Mar-22 08:09:11

Good Morning all from the Scottish Borders. Not a bad day. The washing dried outside yesterday so Spring is here. A lot of work done by 3 of us in my "new" border yesterday. Later I went into Edinburgh to hear my DGS play his clarinet in concert. So wonderful yet mingled with sadness as I know how much DH would have loved it.

Congratulations Shazza on the new arrival! Such wonderful news.

I filled in the census yesterday and have plenty of things today too.
Wishing everyone a happy and pain free day.
