Yes, beautiful sunshine here at the moment. Very windy though. I have a lot of gardening to tackle, so I will be busy.

DH and I have just been having the conversation “it’s going to be a lovely day today, how shall we spend it?”
So many choices when the sun shines ?

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 19-Mar-22 08:55:14

Another one here who will be gardening. So lovely to have sunshine.

LauraNorderr Sat 19-Mar-22 08:59:13

Ooh yes, yes, yes sunshine.
Just sitting on the patio finishing my bacon butty before getting the gardening tools from the shed for a day of fun in the sun. Woohoo.

I'll be taking my chainsaw out to hack a dead hedge of logs that I made a few years ago into chunks for the stove. Slow, steady, methodical work. It warmed me up yesterday. Max 13º, with a feel of 9º here but that'll be fine. I don't actually like it hot.

Off to walk the dog in the hills then back to spend the day gardening. Tomorrow I'm off to Bath for a few days of pottering around in the sun and visiting the Fashion Museum. Spring flowers out everywhere and the blossom coming on the pear tree. It's all such a treat after the winter weather.

Yes beautiful here. Have son1 staying for the weekend. Wonderful. We had a very lengthy to riverside walk yesterday and today we're going to a football match to see one of his favourite teams

henetha Sat 19-Mar-22 10:20:26

It's bright and beautiful here today, but with a cold easterly wind. I hope to start sorting out old pots in the garden, ready for new plants soon.
I will go for a walk a some point, well wrapped up, as it's a pity to waste this sunshine.

Unless of course you have covid. Then stay home please.

lixy Sat 19-Mar-22 10:26:22

Gardening here too. And a bit of 6 Nations I hope.
Pottering about this weekend before a week of G'parent duty next week!

OH will be glued to the rugby. I’m still full of cold and my ear hurts so I’ll be mainly lying on the sofa reading. I took some sausages out of the freezer to defrost so OH can cobble together bangers and mash for dinner. At least I can look out of the window at the blue sky!

4 day long weekend here in Ireland and weather lovely. Will be mowing the lawn shortly and then meeting a friend for coffee.

Grandmadinosaur Sat 19-Mar-22 10:53:41

We are lucky to live not too far from the coast so making the most of it and having a drive there with our GS. Used to to take him quite often before he started school. It’s about 30 minutes away.
Tomorrow we will go and have a coffee in our local marina just down the road and have an easy day. When the weather is like this mundane jobs can wait.

Grandmadinosaur Sat 19-Mar-22 10:54:15

* on our marina not in!

BBbevan Sat 19-Mar-22 11:04:25

Lovely here too, but a bit windy. Just washed some really thick jumpers of DHs and they are now on the line.
Always gardening to do but I think I will potter in the green house. Pear tree coming into blossom and the broad beans are about 5cm tall. Splendid

Teacheranne Sat 19-Mar-22 11:10:11

I was hoping to get outside to scrape moss and weeds off my drive but my knees are very stiff and sore today. I think I will sit outside and repot loads of baby aloe Vera plants ready for a plant sales. If I do it at the front of my house, I can chat to the passers by!

Teacheranne Sat 19-Mar-22 11:11:07

I’ve got to wait until this afternoon though when I will have taken my second set of painkillers.

SachaMac Sat 19-Mar-22 11:13:15

Beautiful here, sunny with a cloudless sky but windy, perfect for drying the washing. I’m having my coffee in the garden. Hoping to be able to get the grass cut in a couple of days once it’s dried out.

LadyGracie Sat 19-Mar-22 13:36:28

Washing out. Just started off wormery with GD, so exciting, she says. I think we'll have a fun afternoon in the garden.

Had a lovely day at the seaside day yesterday but it’s very windy here today, so am still indoors. I hung the washing out earlier and nearly got blown away. SE England.

Having driven home from the NE late last night we thought we would go for a nice walk around the village in the sunshine to stretch our legs. Gosh it is not at all warm despite the blue sky and sunshine. Stopped on the green to watch the young children practising their football skills and my hands were frozen, despite holding a coffee. Having been away all week we are quite happy to potter in the back garden where it's a bit warmer.

BlueBalou Sat 19-Mar-22 15:44:48

‘This a chilly wind here in north Wiltshire, I have walked DDog twice and done a few hours gardening. Hyacinths that have gone over from being indoors are now in a newly dug-over bit of border, I have assembled a small shelving unit for in the greenhouse and generally pootled around. Cup of tea then perhaps a bit more outside. It’s lovely in the sun or the greenhouse and several big fat bumblebees enjoying early flowering plants.
Tomorrow’s apparently not so warm so looking forward to the warmer weather midweek.

AGAA4 Sat 19-Mar-22 15:49:20

Isn't it lovely to see blue skies. I had a walk by the river and the sun was sparkling on the water. I walked further up the hill but the wind was freezing up there but the view was spectacular on this weather.

Witzend Sat 19-Mar-22 16:13:07

I’ve been for a walk and done some garden tidying, plus have planted out my sweet peas in two very big pots of new compost, with smart bamboo-cane wigwams to climb up, so they’d better be grateful and give me millions of flowers.

Wind is still chilly but I have an outdoor ‘sofa’ in a sheltered corner which gets the last of the sun, so I just sat there with a coffee - first time this year.
