Good Morning Wednesday 23rd \March 022
(61 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its daylight , but dry here in brackley this morning.
I have ON/OFF nose bleeds , but also showing signs of flu as well .
I will take something later for that.
Otherwise a day of tv.
Take Crae,
Mick
Good morning everyone from the sunny south. Nothing planned today or any day until my new (to me) car is delivered at the end of the week. I sold my old one a couple of weeks ago as it was far too big and expensive to run for urban sprawl and crawl. I hate being without wheels but the lovely weather has meant lots of gardening so I can’t complain.
Love to all who are in need of a hug. X
I got a box of tests at my local chemist last week with no problem.
Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire. There is sun in the forecast though.
I am fairly sure that I have covid but am not wasting one of our few remaining lfts to prove it. I will stay at home until day 5 and then test.
Such a lot of sadness and worry here today so I am sending love and gentle hugs. And thank you for the good wishes for DD1.
Mick please do an lft and talk to the go.
Pittcity, I forgot that LFT, are no longer free in England. A very worrying decision, indeed. I wonder how many have unknowingly infected others.
We still have no problem obtaining them here, as hospital admissions are very high. In fact I have a box being delivered today.
Will this never end?
A very good morning from sunny Yorkshire, the sun is shinning through the kitchen window as i am typing this and sipping my morning cup of tea AND ITS WONDERFUL ? ?.
Today I have my youngest granddaughter, always do on a Wednesday. I am going to take her to the park today, I ALWAYS take a flask of tea and tin of various goodies we sit on a park bench and with our cup of tea and chat ( as much as you can with a 4 year old haha)
Usually we make something ( food ) when we're indoors but today the sun is shinning and so we will enjoy.
Enjoy your day everyone ?
Good morning from the Scottish Borders. Cold start but again we are promised a beautiful day.
My df arrived late after a tiring train and bus journey from the north of Scotland. The memorial she was coming for has been postponed due to covid and her DS has tested +ve in his supported housing near here, so we will just have to find other things to amuse ourselves.
The kitchen has made some progress since she was here in November but it isn't finished yet
I think I know how you are feeling gMattie.
((hugs))
and for Chrissielou I cannot imagine how it feels for you.
Happy Anniversary. Spoil yourself ves.
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton. Just taken my alendronic tablet, so having to wait for my mug of tea. Load of washing already in the machine.
Have ordered two new garden chairs, having got rid of my old ones last year as the cushions had split and the.filling was falling out. So the weather had better stay nice!
A morning of pottering, then after lunch an afternoon at the well-being cafe, and will enjoy the walk home afterwards.
Happy anniversary, Chrissielou. Have a lovely day.
Hope you get some help, grandMattie; and Mick, please consult your surgery.
And to everyone, hope Wednesday is kind to all.
Thinking of all the grans with worries and fears this morning. I don't want to miss anyone out so won't list but I do send
to all of you.
Congratulations Chrissylou
Beautiful sunshine ? here in Cheshire.
Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Mums and toddlers today so early start, then going for lunch with DiL and the other ladies that help run it.
Lovely evening at the theatre I was sat next to 1 proud mum, her son was in the performance and she had travelled from Torquay and was staying till Friday attending all performances.
Enjoy your day everyone, best wishes for those celebrating, safe travels and virtual hugs where needed. May you all find some ?.
Good morning from sunny Colchester. Carol Kirkwood has just said it could reach 19 here today but that the hay fever forecast was moderate.
I'll have to remember to use my nasal spray before I go out to the weekly coffee meetup.
We'll have to stop advising people with symptoms to take an LFT as you can no longer get hold of free ones. Just staying at home and looking after yourself as we always used to when sick is the future!
Happy Anniversary Chrissilou
Sending love to all ?x
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 3°. Another fine day ahead. There's a heavy dew so far and a slight mist. Michael get yourself to the doctor. Grandmattie life is so hard for you just now. Chrissielou, Gingster and Kittylester ? for you and your daughters.
Yesterday dgs1 was so excited to be going to nursery. He couldn't eat breakfast and was whirling about like a peerie. (Top) when we reached the nursery he ran straight in when the gate was opened looking for the water table. He didn't say goodbye to his mum. It was so funny. When we picked him up an hour later, he was breaking his heart because he didn't want to leave! That all augurs well. I took him to my house as he wanted to go to grandma's house and we had a lovely afternoon.
Today I'll visit mum then dd is going to drop off dgs1 after nursery. He goes for two hours today. Then all day tomorrow. So more mud pies in the garden today. Have a good day all.
grandMattie
Chrissielou
Happy anniversary Chrissielou ?. That necklace sounds gorgeous. Can you show us a pic?
Good morning all and we’re back ‘home’ in Essex. We didn’t want to leave the sunshine by the sea but it’s always nice to get back to friends and family. ❤️.
I was back in time for Bridge Club and one of our ladies had made birthday meringues. Delicious!
DH and DS1 went off to a local footie match. They love it but always come back saying ‘dreadful game’ ?! ?
Today my Dd has a biopsy on her groin where they removed lymph nodes. They aren’t sure whether it’s scarring or cancer. I hope they move quickly, so that she can have the op on her leg and any other bits that need removing.
Chrissielou and Kitty - always in my thoughts ?
Sar - hopefully you’ll start to pick up soon. Just rest and recover .?Ash ?. So many people with covid at the moment!
GM - such a hard time for you. ?.
Urms - safe journey home. The sunshine awaits you ?
GG - might bump into you in M and S ?.
Hoping your days are pleasant or at least OK!
???
Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow.
As others have said, you really need to see a GP Mick, combined with your heart condition, those nose bleeds are concerning. Also, an LFT sounds essential too, especially as you do a fair number of journeys on public transport.
I am sorry to hear so many on here are struggling. Sending you all my very best wishes for a peaceful day. ?
Chrissielou congratulations for your anniversary today.
Hope you DD feels a little better in the coming days poor love.
Good morning all from Derbyshire, another lovely spring day ahead.
I'm so sorry you are having such a difficult time grandMattie
and am thinking of you both, as well as all others dealing with life's trials and coping with illness
Life is due to get better for us from today as DD and her family are moving back near us after eight months living away. Later today our grandsons and their three dogs are coming to stay for two nights while the move takes place. It will be so good to have them back. There are also positive signs that the much deteriorated relationship between DD and I is improving following a recent heart to heart, and them being closer should help with that. I feel so relieved.
Unhelpfully, though, I'm full of cold at the moment, so not at my best for when they arrive later. A precautionary LFT has shown that it's not covid, thankfully, so I'll just get on with things.
Hope Wednesday is a good day for all. Safe journey Urms
A beautiful start to the day in Oxfordshire. It is our wedding anniversary, 20 years today I married my wonderful DH. I woke to a beautiful bouquet and a wonderful necklace made from upcycled Claris Cliff. I feel quite overwhelmed.
Covid seems to be ripping its way through the country, Mick unfortunately those symptoms sound suspiciously like covid. I would recommend a gp call this morning.
DD1 had a gruelling day yesterday, the day after chemo isn't a day to dance with joy. Hopefully symptoms will ease today.
GM I am thinking of you and sending you a virtual hug.
Good Morning everyone from a sunny and clear south coast . Only 4.8c at present but set to warm up fairly quickly.
I had another bad dream after having cheese (with a hot cross bun) for tea. Cheese seems to be the cause of bad dreams when I have some (and it was only a small bit) later than lunchtime! I was glad to waken up and escape from dreamland this morning.
Such a hard time for you Mattie and the constant anxiety is so wearing. Hope the hospice can help - you need all the help you can get to get through this testing time.
Sorry you are still testing positive Ash. Hopefully soon start to pick up. I wonder if some sunshine might help? Can you find an isolated spot to sit and enjoy the rays for a bit?
Your Gransnet friends are worried about you Mick. Please contact your GP for advice. It sounds as if you are not really any better.
The sunshine is waiting for you Urmstongran and set to last over the weekend so will welcome you home later. Safe travels!
Your Roman Holiday (good name for a film?) sounds lovely baubles and I can imagine how beautiful everything looks in the sunshine. Enjoy!
To anyone I have missed, take care and look after yourselves. It's too nice to be doing indoors chores isn't it?
Good morning from another sunny day in Essex by the sea.
Another night of not sleeping well but hey ho I'm not going anywhere or doing anything so can rest during the day. I felt pretty rotten yesterday so hopefully today will be better.
My girls have been messaging and phoning and one of my neighbours kindly deposited bread and milk outside my door.
DH is due home Saturday evening but I didn't hear from him yesterday, he's somewhere of the East Coast in the North Sea, I hope he's OK.
Thank you to GG13 and Gingster who both offered to drop provisions off yesterday. Food and drink doesn't taste good at the moment so I'm mainly existing on Marmite on toast which I can taste.
I heard yesterday that my cousin, whom I saw last week, tested positive yesterday, he was meant to be going to Australia next week to see his parents. He hasn't seen them for over two years. Not sure what will happen now.
Mick I do think you should either do an lft or see your GP.
GM I cannot begin to understand what you are going through with your DH, I send you love and
.
Kind thoughts to you all and have a lovely Wednesday xx
All your hugs and encouragement is a huge help. I feel enveloped in a blanket of affection. Thank you all.
Good Morning Mick and everyone from a foggy Hull but we have a lovely day promised later.
Mick and grandMattie a big hug for you both.
?for all coping with the covid. It really is ripping through everyone.
Yesterday we had a climbing frame and large slide delivered for the DGC which DH put together and as always happens there was a piece missing which they are sending. It should save the back of the chairs and sofa from a robust seven year old fingers crossed.
This morning I’m at the gym but then it’s fairly quiet until GS comes from school and his daddy is staying for tea when he picks him up.
Enjoy the sunshine today if you can and hope Wednesday brings moments of joy??
Sorry, safe journey Urms it’s unusual, returning to more sun than you’re leaving!
I am off to the Yorkshire Dales today with my walking pals for a day's walk, picnic lunch and pub tea. Will be great to see them all.
Thinking of you GMattie. Take a day at a time and rest when you can.x
