I wonder if it builds up over the winter? Once you can put washing outside, it might subside. Could be the material you are wearing too. O used to have this a lot when younger.

I’ve noticed it since the weather warmed up, kitchen light switch and sometimes the tap, MrJ is fine, I have got an artificial fibre cardigan on, no problem wearing cotton.

I also sometimes give the dog a shock when I stroke her; I think it is worse when the air is very dry. If my hair has static, I pass a metal coat hanger over it, and the static disappears (it was a tip I read on the Internet and it works on clothes that have static too).
