Put your foot Dow, I mean, of course!

I haven't noticed thisn not even in the car where I often used to get it. (Solution: hold on to the car - roof or door, but something metal - before you put your door down outside.)

For indoors, can only suggest wearing rubber-soled shoes.

I also sometimes give the dog a shock when I stroke her; I think it is worse when the air is very dry. If my hair has static, I pass a metal coat hanger over it, and the static disappears (it was a tip I read on the Internet and it works on clothes that have static too).

I’ve noticed it since the weather warmed up, kitchen light switch and sometimes the tap, MrJ is fine, I have got an artificial fibre cardigan on, no problem wearing cotton.

I wonder if it builds up over the winter? Once you can put washing outside, it might subside. Could be the material you are wearing too. O used to have this a lot when younger.

I seem to be full of static electricity of late. My clothes click when I take them off and my hair is more static than usual. I passed DH's phone to him the other day and gave him a nasty shock! Anyone know how to neutralise it?
