Good morning Mick and everyone from a beautiful Hull morning. It was worrying not seeing you on Mick. Rest over the weekend and you also grandMattie.
? to all covid ladies and those of you with worries. ?
Matt gave DH and I a giggle Urmstongran.
Just a zoom yoga and picking up DGS from school and I expect some lovely sitting in the sun ? absolutely love it.
Take care everyone and hope Friday brings a moment of joy??

Good morning all from Polmont. 3° and cloudy. I'm glad that Mick showed up! It's good that you are getting medical attention. Thanks for opening up Marydoll. Freedom Day Ashcombe. Make the most of it.
Yesterday was a quiet day as I expected. I had forgotten I had ordered wine so I had to stay in for that to be delivered. It turned into a pleasant day in the sun.
Today will be more of the same. I might make bread to avoid going to Aldi until Sunday. I have everything else I need. Cottage pie for tea. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country, where it was the same yesterday, almost like a summers day.

Lovely lunch with Niece and Mum at our favourite village pub. Niece starts her new job in London Monday, she has temporary accommodation for a month, but finding somewhere permanent is a nightmare. Everyone keeps out bidding each other, so a property for 3 of them was advertised at 2.5K a month, but they lost it as someone offered 3k! How young people afford such rents is beyond me.

A walk this morning with a u3a walking group.

Love to you all with health worries.

Good morning Marydoll & Mick on another beautiful morning in Suffolk.
We have managed to make a big difference in the garden which is now tidier than ever. I have even collected up ALL the plastic pots. The winter gales had hidden them in every nook and cranny. I have selected about a quarter to keep, then a local lady would like the rest, when she is better from Covid!
DS has it now that the rest of his family are gradually testing clear. DGD and her friend are having a joint birthday party after school today, with lots of children from their school which is full of Covid. We are minded to give it a miss, having avoided the virus so far.
First job today is to order a new bedroom carpet as the room is being decorated while we are on holiday in 3 weeks time.
Thinking of you all with family illness. I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 25-Mar-22 08:12:47

Good morning everyone, take it easy for a while Mick.
It’s another lovely sunny morning in Oxfordshire we are dog sitting until tomorrow, apart from that nothing much to do apart from tackling the garden, when the grass dries enough to mow.
The upside from Covid was that our appetites disappeared and we both lost a bit of weight, must make sure not to put it all back on again.

Sorry to read that so many have family who are sick and need hospital care?

Hope everyone has the best day, enjoy the sunshine.

BlueSapphire Fri 25-Mar-22 08:39:46

Good morning from another bright and sunny day in Northampton. I am having a day at home to await the delivery of my new garden chairs. I may even get a few jobs done, such as washing the kitchen floor, which I absolutely hate!

A more pleasant task will be to try on the new clothes I picked up at Sainsbury's yesterday; I ordered them on Monday; they have a much better selection on-line than in store. I also managed to pick up the few things that were missing from my grocery delivery earlier.

Rang DD yesterday; she and her DH are heartbroken over the loss of their dear dog on Thursday, but are more concerned over how the loss is affecting their other dog,.who keeps looking for her missing companion. I am going there for lunch on Sunday so will be sure to make a.fuss of little Annie.

Hoping today is pleasant for all.

Stilllearning Fri 25-Mar-22 08:40:56

Morning everyone from a Covid free granny in S Lanarkshire.
I am so grateful I managed to avoid it but also amazed. I had spent several hours in close contact with my friend after we had both tested negative, she going on to develop symptoms within a few hours of me leaving. Neither rhyme nor reason, I feel very fortunate.

As a result I’m able to go and spend the weekend with youngest DD and my youngest grandchildren which I am very much looking forward to.

I too was glad to see Mick pop in and hope he gets things sorted out soon.
?grandMattie what a continuing hard time you and your DH are having.

Love and prayers to all our group and their families who are struggling and best wishes for a good day to everyone ???

Marydoll Fri 25-Mar-22 08:47:04

Stilllearning, so glad to hear you are OK. I messaged you, but when I heard nothing, I feared you were ill!

EkwaNimitee Fri 25-Mar-22 08:50:24

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle. Concerned not to see you on first thing Mick, I hope things improve for you and you soon feel like getting out and about again.
I gave my front lawn its first mow of the year yesterday...5 minutes was all it took and that's all the lawn I have to mow now! The big back lawn that was took a lot longer especially with all the trimming along the fences I had to struggle with.
A quietish day today, I shall probably do a little baking and then carry on with whatever takes my fancy until I go out late afternoon to the podiatrist. I don't like going out at that time but so be it, it had to be re-arranged at short notice as the original practitioner had covid.
The weather's looking good for the weekend, let's have a good one!

merlotgran Fri 25-Mar-22 09:05:36

Good morning , everyone, from the sunny south. Hedge trimming on the cards today providing the electric cutter still works. The new power breaker arrived yesterday so I’m good to go.

Hope you all have a good day.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 25-Mar-22 09:05:50

Morning all

Mick please take care of yourself, plenty of fluids and rest.

grandMattie ((( hugs )))

I am feeling off colour, have done two LFT’s both negative so hopefully just a virus caught from a GC.

GrandpaGravy has taken The Imp for a ride in the car, so he should have a nap when he comes home, and I might just have one also.

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

Good morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire.

We got home around 12.45 am and I’m having a very lazy start to the day. We walked an average of seven miles a day in Rome, many of those along museum corridors and my feet are still hot.

DH has a hospital appointment with a physiotherapist this afternoon, his knees are getting worse, on holiday he had to use his stick at all times and sit often but he was determined to see all the museums we hadn’t seen on previous visits as well as a few which we had.

Later today we’re going to collect our daft dog from DD’s house and hopefully catch a glimpse of some of the children between school and swimming.

The internet was a little patchy in our apartment so I haven’t properly caught up with everyone’s news yet.

Sending a hug to gMattie.

Look after yourself Mick. Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Susan56 Fri 25-Mar-22 09:26:21

Good wishes to all.

Litterpicker Fri 25-Mar-22 09:59:13

Good morning from coastal West Sussex.

I am dog sitting today - friend’s dog, first time ‘minding’ her. I am looking forward to a walk along the beach with her when the tide is out. I have spent the last two days in the (very small) back garden, mainly tidying up. I dug up a struggling ginger rosemary from almost underneath the expanding Kilmarnock willow which I bought during the first lockdown when B&Q opened its doors and let customers in a few at a time. The ginger rosemary is now in a pot outside the patio doors where I can keep an eye on it.

Mick, I hope you feel better soon - nosebleeds are such a nuisance and very exhausting.
Grandmattie, sorry for all you and your DH are going through. Hope the hospice stay will help stabilise things.
BlueSapphire, so sad to hear of your DDs dogs - how does a grieving dog process her feelings?
Thoughts with those whose daughters are going through difficult treatments and for mothers for whom Mothering Sunday is especially poignant.

Enjoy the sunshine if you can ☀️

Blossoming Fri 25-Mar-22 10:02:23

Good morning Mick and everyone. Another sunny day in my corner of Lancashire, currently 14°C.

Thank you for opening up Marydoll.

Hope you’re feeling a little better Mick, glad you visited the surgery and hope blood test results are OK.

Sounds like you enjoyed the class Urmstongran.

Safe journey home Brook.

That should relieve some stress Grandmattie, not too long a wait for the hospice bed and a new fridge freezer on the way.

Great news Ashcombe, get out and enjoy the sunshine.

Marydoll a restful day is in order for you.

That spa day sounds just the ticket Susan.

Thinking of Kitty, Gingster and Chrissie and their DDs flowers

Hope all our Covid sufferers are on the mend.

Whatever you’re doing I hope you all have a good day and find a random flamingo or two ??

Maria59 Fri 25-Mar-22 10:27:27

Just popped in to say marydoll Sainsbury's have 50% off clothing

hollysteers Fri 25-Mar-22 10:29:46

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny but a few clouds northwest coast. Sorry you have some health issues Mick, don’t ignore them.
Had acrylic nails put on on Wednesday. First since lockdown.I wouldn’t bother if I didn’t have an annoying habit of picking my fingers and making a right mess of them. Can’t do it with acrylics. My daughter has the same habit too. Hate beauty salons and hairdressers, don’t enjoy it at all.
Went for the bus afterwards only to find my route stops at 5! Very early. I only take the bus a couple of times a week for a change. Good thing I’m so near the centre of town.
DD home from the south and we had a home cooked casserole which she didnt know I had dropped part of it on the kitchen floor and then rinsed under the tap?.I’m so clumsy these days and it wasn’t the nails…
Wishing all those with any troubles at all all the very best.

Auntieflo Fri 25-Mar-22 11:51:48

Good morning, just squeaking in under the wire.
Hello Annie.
Marydoll, nice to see you opening up, and also that Mick has surfaced. Take care both of you.
Slow start for me again this morning, but have just had a coffee and then we shall go out for some shopping.
What to have for dinner tonight? Oh I do hate having to think about that. Just wish it would miraculously appear in front of us.
Sending healing thoughts to the DD's of Ginster and Chrissielou .
GrandMattie, take care of yourself and I hope that your DH gets the pain relief he needs in the Hospice. They should take good care of him. The quince tree sounds a lovely thing to be planting. My friend makes the most delicious Japonica jam from her quinces.
With the talk of 50% off Sainsburys clothing, I mustn't go and look. I really don't need anything else. But then....
Have a good day one and all and enjoy the sunshine.

Marydoll Fri 25-Mar-22 12:07:30

Beechnut Fri 25-Mar-22 12:19:59
