Morning all

It’s a beautiful day here as Sar53 and Gingster have already posted. Unfortunately I shall not be going very far, I am still testing negative but I feel dreadful, temperature, headache, body aches and light headed. Thread feels as if it consists of razor blades all f with spending half the night in the bathroom vomiting.

Have your best days friends,

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning all from a sunny S Hants, GC’s stayed last night and DD bought me flowers as she’s away until tomorrow. We live close and I support Saints (Southampton) FC, so know all about ‘the rivalry’ Oops!
GC’s go to a friend of my daughters later, so not sure of todays plans other than my weekly newspaper treat.
Enjoy your day ??
Thoughts with those struggling and either I’ll themselves or poorly family.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and sunny. Susan ? When you can't do right for doing things right! Grandmattie I hope your dh gets some relief soon. Good luck on your journey.
Today I'm going to dd for afternoon tea in honour of Mother's Day tomorrow. Mum and my aunt are also invited. It'll be nice to see everyone. I'll need to do a little shopping first I think. Saturday housework won't take long as I've done most of it already. Have a good day all.

Good morning all from the Black country.
Washing just finished so will get that out in the sunshine, making the most of this lovely weather and washing everything in sight.
Usual Saturday full English calling so will catch up with everybody's news later.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed. Enjoy your Saturday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country.

It was a glorious sunny day yesterday on our u3a walk from Himley to Baggeridge. Doing the same walk again today with a group of friends.

Good to hear that the 4th jabs have started. I presume the NHS will get in contact. Mum is 92 and hasn't heard anything yet. I assume at 68 I am too young?!

Good to see you posting this morning NanKate I hope all is well with you and yours?

Wishing you all a lovely day

Good morning from a beautiful, sunny and warming up South Yorkshire.

Another pottering day today as there are quite a few little jobs to be done.

I had a good session in the garden Wednesday and Thursday, and now my body protesteth a little ?. The grass still needs cutting, but that’s a job to be done tomorrow, I think (possibly today if I summon up the enthusiasm).

It seems that quite a few of you have had, or plan to have, some enjoyable trips out and about. How lovely.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from sunny Sefton.
I’m not really up to speed with GM these days but I do look in on grandMattie. I hope your husband feels better soon and that the journey to see him today is not too arduous. It’s important to look after yourself too dear gran.
Enjoy your premature Mother’s Day celebration Grandmabatty.
Sending happy thoughts and hugs to all.

Good morning all from gloriously sunny South Lanarkshire.

I slept very late, all the walking during the week has caught up with me. DH’s X-ray at his physiotherapist appointment yesterday showed a marked deterioration in his knee. It’s bone on bone now so he will see the consultant at some point and go on the waiting list for surgery.

I hope your DH is more settled when you see him gMattie.

Pleased to hear that you’re on the mend Ash.

I hope you feel better soon GG, that sounds miserable.

You need to look after yourself too Mick.

Yesterday’s evening sun showed up the disgraceful state of my windows so I guess that’s what I’ll be doing today. I’ve never been good at getting a smear free finish.

Enjoy the day as much as you can good morningers.

Good morning from a sunny NE ?
Yesterday was warm and no wind at all which made it a pleasant day. I went into the garden and tidied up the pots on the patio, the geraniums appear to have survived the winter which is unusual this far north.
I swept up leaves and twigs but my yard broom fell apart, need to get a new one ASAP.
DIL tested positive yesterday, DS will not be coming today.
There seems to be no easing of the situation here.
DD has been back in the UK for three weeks but have not seen her as she is caring for her DH and trying to work from home.
Take care all.

Good morning all from W Kent another beautiful day. Trip into town for a few bits and then the garden. Mothers Day seems to be off due to AC having covid around still but DH birthday soon so looks like the two will be combined.

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where we have yet another lovely day.
I have no definite plans but may well end up digging a hole or two in the back garden, I'm feeling guilty about a few shrubs still sitting around in the pots waiting for action on my part.
I saw the podiatrist for the first time yesterday. As I suspected, my second toes are beyond redemption but we agreed surgery was a last resort, it will be a case of keeping them comfortable for now. An x-ray may be involved though. I remembered those x-ray machines that used to be in shoe shops. New shoes were tried on then the foot was put inside the machine to see how the foot fitted in the shoe. I was always fascinated by seeing the picture. I can't remember just when those were phased out but surely we should have known better long before.
I must decide what to wear for my SiL's birthday lunch. It's the possible weather that's the problem, shall I wear something light and summery or stick to my winter black? The former has the downside of probably needing a new pair of shoes. You know how it is...you have a cupboard full but nothing quite goes together!

I do hope your DH gets some relief grandMattie and that your trip goes well.
Have the best possible day everyone especially those unwell at the moment.

Megs36 Sat 26-Mar-22 09:49:53

Good morning all on this lovely day.
Interesting about Mick beingtoldtouse Vaseline on cuts, a couple of years ago my husband had a bad sore on his hand that wouldn’t heal, Googled (!) and found suggestions to use Vaseline, tried it out and healed within days. Coincidence or what?

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.
All this talk of Brighton prompted me to post as I am feeling very sorry for myself.

We planned this weekend to go to DGS’s 4th birthday then tomorrow DS was going to take us out for Mothers Day in Brighton.
We got as far as London to drop dog off at DD’s and I tested positive so had to hot foot it home!

I am now still in bed with a racking cough, sore throat and headache!

I hope your DH can find a regime to help him * GrandMattie*. Also hope those with worries about DD’s get some good news.

Blossoming Sat 26-Mar-22 10:04:58

Good morning Mick and everyone. Another sunny day in my corner of Lancashire, currently 14°C.

Have a restful day Mick, take care.

I heard from my colorectal surgeon yesterday, my recent CEA blood test results were normal. The best news to kick off a sunny weekend smile.

Glad you’re feeling much better Ashcombe.

Sorry your poor DH is no better Grandmattie, hope things settle soon. The fridge freezer is a bargain and now you have shopping to fill it.

May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief.

Gingster Sat 26-Mar-22 10:15:43

Oh GrannyGravy - poor you. You really sound fed up.
Look after yourself with plenty of fluids. Take it easy.?
A bit of sunshine might do the trick! ??

mamaa Sat 26-Mar-22 10:32:01

Good morning all, thought Id share a photo of my Christmas cactus which has finally decided to bloom. Hope you enjoy it.

Sending thoughts to those of us struggling at the moment.

Urms Ive downloaded the NHS weightloss app on which you can record calories, exercise in a daily diary etc and it has motivational items to read too. Been using it for over a week and its very useful.
Decided to do it after being shocked into doing something about my weight after a visit to drs for check-up! Upped the exercise now too so fingers crossed for improvement on next visit!
Due to go and see ELO Again tonight at our local theatre- booked in January 2020- but rather nervous as covid cases on the up here - wondering if we should stay at home…
Oh well, I wish you all as good a day as is possible. x
