The weather has turned and the beautiful sunshine of the past week or so has turned to rain and an overcast sky. Yesterday my dear brother was here helping me sort out the spare bedroom which had slowly turned into a junk room!!! It is now going to be called the 'attic' Things that I want to keep but seldom use are now packed neatly in boxes and a cupboard and chest of drawers. I can find anything now instead of having to search for what ever it was. He took everything away I didn't need or want and will dispose of for me. Its such a weight of my shoulders. Today I have a small stack of items which need to be placed in the garden shed so will do that later. I have an old work colleague coming for lunch and my gp ringing this afternoon for a meds review. So a full on day again. It would have been lovely if the sun was out again but the weather won't affect what I'm doing. smile

I wanted to plant some little shrubs and things I bought at a garden centre yesterday. Not summer bedding plants as it's too early. But although the sun is shining it's a cold wind outside.
So, to plant or not to plant, that is the question.

TillyTrotter Thu 07-Apr-22 10:56:33

We did that last week Grandmabatty . I couldn’t believe how much water there was!
The wind here is threatening to whip the heads off the daffodils - you wouldn’t be planting today henetha !
Today I am feeling sorry for myself as suffering from most symptoms of positive Covid (day 4). It will pass.

Tillytrotter ? for you. I hope you feel better soon. I'm actually embarrassed by the amount of ice there is. I knew it was bad when the Titanic sailed past.

Work, work, work.

Very pleased with how much I'm earning, but not keen on all the extra hours.

TillyTrotter Thu 07-Apr-22 11:45:16

Grandmabatty thank you,
and for making me laugh ?? ?

I've been up (too) early, just hung washing on the line. I'm going to a Zumba class at 11, then meeting my friend for coffee at 2. After dinner this evening, I'm going to go to a local pub where there's a punk band playing.

I’m off to a farm with two DDs and two DGSs. Easter egg hunt and other activities. The boys will have a snack lunch and the we’ll have an early dinner on the way home. Hope the weather behaves.

Grandmabatty Fri 08-Apr-22 08:18:21

I am going for brunch to a friend's house in a while. Shortly I'll go to Aldi for food for the week.

I am going to colour my hair as my appointment with my hairdresser was cancelled yesterday as he has covid & can't reschedule until 22 April by which time I will definitely look like a zebra!
This evening we are off to The Gielgud Theatre to see To Kill a Mockingbird. Taking DGD1, who is doing her Drama GCSE soon & enjoys live theatre. It is a long production so I hope I stay awake!

This afternoon I am picking my GC up from school and bringing them back here for pancakes (as requested) then their Mum will arrive and we will all go to the communityt hall over the road to watch another GC performing in a panto.

This morning I am hoping for call from surgeon who did spinal nerve block, as it has not been a success and I need to know what to do next. Doubled my opiate patch dose with no improvement.

Luckily I can still drive as I am at my most comfortable in the car seat.

Had my spring booster yesterday. First three vaccines were Pfizer, no problems at all. This was Moderna. Feeling a bit iffy today and my arm hurts, so not going to do much at all.

The plants are still in the garage as it's really wet here this morning. I optimistically did some washing but have had to hang it in the porch. So I might tidy the sideboard instead.
I lead such an exciting life.. confused

Jaxjacky Fri 08-Apr-22 12:02:17

With you Tilly day three.
So, what am I doing, not a lot, we were supposed to be going away this weekend, cancelled of course, there are always other weekends.
Still, better nights sleep was had, nose dripping less, cough abating and appetite returning, onwards!

TillyTrotter Fri 08-Apr-22 15:46:05

Ditto, Jaxjacky and when asked “how are you today?” it is nice to be able to say “a lot better thank you”.
DH has only a faint 2nd line on LF test today and hopes to be out of incarceration before me as he is 4 days ahead.
Sorry you had to cancel weekend plans, we didn’t have any (hashtag Billy-no-mates) ?
I hope to read about everyone else’s day which will be more interesting and productive than mine.

MissAdventure Fri 08-Apr-22 15:49:44

Not mine.
I'm still in bed.
sad
Been here for the last year or so, mostly.

Grandmashe43 Fri 08-Apr-22 15:57:33

Your having a rotten time Miss A, hope there’s some improvement soon.

Jaxjacky Fri 08-Apr-22 16:03:19

Oh MissAdventure that sounds very frustrating and tedious ?

MissAdventure Fri 08-Apr-22 16:06:44

Ah, thank you.
I think I'm almost at the end of my tether with it all.
I am going to venture into the kitchen soon. (Hopefully!)

TillyTrotter Fri 08-Apr-22 16:08:40

So sorry MissAdventure ?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 08-Apr-22 16:10:17

? for you MissA. I hope things get better soon.

Callistemon21 Fri 08-Apr-22 16:12:18

Oh dear, MissAdventure, I knew you didn't feel well but didn't know it was that bad.
Sending some tlc and I hope that they can discover what's wrong soon - is it Long Covid?
?

MissAdventure Fri 08-Apr-22 16:18:38

I'll long covid you in a minute!
It's not clear what it is, and it hasn't been helped by an unhelpful gp and letters going adrift, and appointments not being made, but it has damaged my liver, affected my sight, filled my legs with fluid, given me a rash, stolen my energy and made my teeth crumble and hair fall out.

Grandmashe43 Fri 08-Apr-22 16:25:47

I’m so sorry wish I had a magic wand to wave over you, sending very gentle hugs.

MissAdventure Fri 08-Apr-22 16:31:15

Ah, thank you.
I could do with a little sprinkling of magic.
Your liver performs 500 or so functions, and it quietly compensates when its malfunctioning.
You only find out when it can no longer compensate and those functions are all going up the spout.
I've had to learn to be my own specialist!

Callistemon21 Fri 08-Apr-22 16:37:38

Yes, I saw your posts the other day but Long Covid can be dreadful.

I hope they can pinpoint the cause (and that it isn't Long Covid).
You need someone to shout very loudly on your behalf - would the Patients Advocacy Service be able to help?
