Hi all, oops on the tadpoles Shazza accidents happen.
I’m pleased your foot is getting there Blossoming maybe not dancing shoes quite yet, I fortunately don’t like chocolate, much to the GC’s horror.
Your painting speaks soop not surprised you’re pleased with it.
I’ll need to water tonight, no good planting and sowing and not tending. I’ve had some plants delivered for the window boxes and baskets, anything else will wait until the schools go back next week. Stocked up on library books, I hate not having a book to read, a real, hold it, drop it on your face in bed book.
Hope you’re feeling better muse and others not quite 100% at the moment
Have a pleasant evening everyone. x

Thank you for all your kind comments. They are much appreciated.

Did the household chores and have polished my halo. Am about to make us a brew and sit in the sunshine beside Mr Soop.

Dentist tomorrow morning. A tooth has chipped. Don't like the dentist appointments but needs must.

My love to you all. smile moon

Good afternoon lovely kitcheners. Soop that dog painting is gorgeous. You are a talented lady.
It’s a gorgeous day. Just sitting outside quietly having a cuppa and a cornflake crispy bun leftover from Easter Sunday. We’ve just dropped DGS at his other grandparents. His mum and her boyfriend are taking him to Chessington and to London for a couple of days for a treat.
Tomorrow DH and I are going of to Harrogate for the day for a look around.
Ah well better crack on with dinner soon. Smoked haddock tonight.
Enjoy your evening everyone, speak soon x

Dogsmakemesmile Wed 20-Apr-22 16:14:48

Oh soop how talented you are. I can feel his fur!
Afternoon everyone. Glorious day here. Have the kitchen door open and all the windows.
Enjoying my day off. Finally did chores I had pretended to be unaware of. Reading. Baking. Soup making.

That is gorgeous Soop! Mum cancelled my visit as she was going back to bed. Art class was fun. I started my painting of a dimetredon for dgs1 and continued my tulip head. I'm happy with them both so far. Then did some more hoeing and weeding. I hope you have a good evening Kitcheners.

TillyTrotter Wed 20-Apr-22 16:01:58

soop I don’t know how you work your magic and paint these exquisite pet portraits. And in a couple of days! Amazing.

Whoever that dog belongs to, they will love the painting.

soop Wed 20-Apr-22 15:23:24

I have finished the pet portrait and it has been backed and mounted. Right now, I've some mind-numbing housework to attend to. I shall return when I've cleaned my halo. wink

‘Evening All’

A lovely day spent minding the grandchildren. Lunchtime was amusing. L’il Miss wanted to go to the nice deli/cafe round the corner from them. It has a ‘play’ kitchen which she just loves being in. The Boy Wonder (goodness he’s growing up now he’s nearly 10y) said “oh no, it’s boring there!”. Peace reigned however as we had a ‘boys’ lunch - grandad made them both sandwiches - and a ‘girls’ lunch - we went to the cafe, L’il Miss pushing her doll’s pram.
?

Sad, not unexpected news for your family Maw ?

Dogsmakemesmile Tue 19-Apr-22 20:33:59

Maw my deepest condolences to you. My mother has dementia and requires twenty four hour care. I feel I already have an inkling of your grief.
Another lovely day with my GD. Not as sunny but still able to go in the garden and have fun there.
Blossoming I am relieved you are recovering.TOYA

Maw, thank you for the poem- it made me chuckle. Condolences to your family. Dementia is so terrible that the grief starts before the end of life ?

By accident, I bought 2 boxes of Maltesers but that must be over a month ago and neither has been opened! Once opened they will not survive for long but I have to sort out my supper first.

soop I was so pleased to hear that Sweetie Pie had decided to pop round for a meal or three. Where does she put it? She is 100% certain she will be fed when she graces your doorstep.

Blossoming Tue 19-Apr-22 19:05:59

I’ve always been able to ration my chocolate brook, it drives Mr.B mad as he wolfs his down. He’d steal mine but he doesn’t like dark chocolate grin

Oh dear Shazza, I hope you have some little froglets soon.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 19-Apr-22 18:02:39

Kitcheners I’m in very bad books with DH after I left the lid off the tadpole tank and GS emptied it out all over the bark. We’ve rescued quite a few hoping they survive. I’d just been looking at them closely with him as well.
DGS has special needs and autism and has a compulsion to empty all the bird baths. It’s all my fault.
We’ve had him to a couple of parks so he’s been kept busy. Another long day tomorrow.
Enjoy your evening x

ShazzaKanazza Tue 19-Apr-22 17:57:51

So very sorry to hear the sad news Maw. That dear lady having such love around her. ?

brook2704 Tue 19-Apr-22 17:56:37

Sounds like you’ve been busy grandmabatty hope you have a rest this evening

Grandmabatty Tue 19-Apr-22 17:15:19

A lovely day here too Brook. I got off the couch and have done a washing and spent a few hours hoeing the weeds and moss from the drive then sweeping it up. I still have some dandelions to attack but that's for another day.

brook2704 Tue 19-Apr-22 17:00:14

Another lovely afternoon here in Inverness, nowhere near as breezy as yesterday so it’s felt much warmer. I started clearing out the other side of the double garage where most of DH stuff is - offcuts of planks or wood, half used tins of paint, numerous nails, screws, rolls of tape, brushes etc - all fairly useless in my opinion but he’s keeping it all just in case it might come in handy anyway it’s a lot tidier now and at least you can see the floor and it’s clean ?
Hoping you’re feeling much better soon muse and you too Blossoming - I admire your willpower with the chocolate, they look so delicious
It sounds like the portrait is going well now soop - I’m so pleased for you

dustyangel Tue 19-Apr-22 16:45:47

My condolences Maw.

Sending condolences to you and your family maw ?

Blossoming Tue 19-Apr-22 16:19:08

Good afternoon dear Kitcheners and welcome GranyyEggz. Love the family photos Soop, the oldest one I have is a silver nitrate one of my great grandmother. I find them fascinating. Apart from looking like my mother I haven’t spotted any other family resemblance though.

We had saved the exchange of Easter eggs until yesterday, as we were out on Easter Sunday which is the proper day imho grin. This exquisite box of dark chocolate delights is mine, Mr. B was the same in milk chocolate. From the chocolate factory at Orton. I haven’t eaten it all, I don’t want to blow the diet! I will be having a very small treat once a week until it’s all gone.

The gouty foot is almost back to normal, hurrah, and I have spoken to the GP. He is prescribing me 100mg allopurinol and I will have another blood test after a month to see if it needs increasing. He is also giving me a supply of colchicine as the allopurinol can trigger a gout flare up. Another thing to add to my ever increasing list of drugs and ailments …. Anything is preferable to that awful pain so I will swallow my medicine like a good girl grin

Hope all our Covid sufferers are on the mend.

My condolences to you and your family Maw.

It’s been a lovely sunny day here, some clouds appearing now. TOYA until we meet again.

soop Tue 19-Apr-22 16:12:41

Maw A peaceful passing together with loved ones is what I would wish for myself. My love to you. flowers

We've had the second booster jag. Met plenty of "old folk" such as we two and had a blether.

A beautiful, sunny day. Mr Soop back in the garden. I've caught up with ironing and, guess what, I am on the last leg of the pet portrait. It is successful, methinks. When it has been mounted, I shall share a photo with you at some time tomorrow.

On Saturday I shall be photographing a friend's terrier named Molly. After which, I have promised a Gransnetter a portrait of her beloved Cavalier.

I am about to make Mr Soop a well deserved brew We shall sit in the sunshine and admire the view.

TOYA smile moon
