Litterpicker call it years of amateur dramatics! ? I'm especially good apparently,at being a tyrannosaurus Rex, according to the boy..

Good morning from rainy West Sussex. I am dog minding this week so had to take my charge for a wet and windy walk in the park. Hoping for better weather to be heading our way.

Thoughts for Grandmattie, Marydoll and others with health problems of their own or family. Glad to read of -ve tests for Covid sufferers. Mick I hope you get your glasses soon.

Enjoyed babysitting youngest DGD’s at weekend but mentally exhausted by playing ‘pet shop’ game with 7 year old. My imagination is not up to it - I am so impressed by Grandmabatty’s capacity to become a dinosaur or a train! My ‘turtle’ died, by the way - it wasn’t my fault grin.

Good morning everyone from Severnside.

I slept in this morning and did things back to front. Just going to make a milky coffee and will get on with a few jobs.

Have the best day you can all ??

GrannySomerset Mon 04-Apr-22 11:23:25

Loving sympathy to grandMattie and hoping things settle a bit. You are in my thoughts. Thank you Ashcombe for such a handsome ginger boy who cheered up my miserable morning. Still living on paracetamol and fluids though it won’t help my weight - it never does. New gardener should be starting today but it’s too wet. We will be hunting tigers in our back “lawn” at this rate.

A rather late Good Morning from a dull & wet Cambs.,

Warm thoughts for you all, especially those who are unwell, & those with poorly families.

Take Care.

Grandmajean Mon 04-Apr-22 10:21:27

Beautiful cats Ashcombe
Lots of grans with health or family health worries. My best wishes for a good day today - or at least a better one.
Wet but mild here in Cheshire. Could do with a trip to local town ( not an inspiring one these days ) but not sure can be bothered.

Megs36 Mon 04-Apr-22 10:09:25

Good morning all, good thoughts to all sad or ill ?
Today made me think how before Covid. (BC!) if we got a sniffy cold or fluey symptoms we’d pop out for Lempsip, maybe a day off work.Or even a Hot Toddy?, now it’s got to be a LFT and the dread of isolation. Will we ever get back I wonder. In my case will I ever stop being scared to go in a shop. Sound familiar anyone?

Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast.
DS came last night and we had a generous size Chinese takeaway. Some left over. The ‘banquet’ had some battered chicken pieces so salty I later drank pints of water through thirst…
BILs birthday today, will ring him and sent a gift box of cheese. No imagination for men’s presents. DS brought me a blue lamp with lights inside and a complete set of Beatrix Potter books in a pretty box. I’m a children’s book fan. Late for my birthday but lovely. He’s also had a go at fixing the temperamental telly and a favourite belt which has bust. Very handy.
Quiet day and will make some smoothies with my nutribullet.
Thoughts to grandMattie and anyone else going through the mill.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s warmer in my corner of Lancashire this morning, but also raining steadily , currently 10°C.

The shower in the en-suite needs some attention, as it is causing a damp patch in the ceiling of the cloakroom below. Today I will start investigating local plumbers and asking folk for their recommendations. This may take a while.

As Pantglas mentioned there is a new baby in the family. My darling niece has had a little boy, they have called him William. He is absolutely gorgeous in his photos and I am looking forward to meeting him in person soon.

Lovely cats Ashcombe they do look in beautiful condition.

Hope all goes well Gwen.

Glad you can visit your DH Grandmadinosaur, hope he’s feeling better.

So sorry Grandmattie flowers

Lovely to read of folk getting out and about and seeing family.

Wishing a better day today for all with troubles of any kind ??

Good morning from a wet and windy W Kent. Off to Essex today for the wedding of a friend's daughter tomorrow. Hope it cheers up for the bride and us. Decided it has to be flat shoes even though I would love to stagger round in something with a decent heel, no chance, oh well.
flowers to all.

Nannytopsy Mon 04-Apr-22 09:32:05

Good morning to Mick and all his followers. Grey and soggy here at DD’s in Kent. We have had a great weekend with them and the bump. Off home shortly, possibly stopping at the big blue warehouse? I shall break it to himself on the way …
Hope you all have a good day.

merlotgran Mon 04-Apr-22 09:29:24

Good morning everyone from the rainy south. Definitely not gardening weather so I’ll do my Aldi shop instead.

Had a lovely belated Mother’s Day with DD yesterday. Lots of browsing in antique and lifestyle shops and then lunch at a very popular pub.

It was an interesting experience! The Sunday roast was delicious but the beef came with a red wine jus which had already been poured on the plate, completely swamping the meat and roast potatoes. It was too strong and had an overwhelming flavour of Marmite! We asked for our food to be transferred to clean plates. Unfortunately they didn’t do gravy. ? The people on the table next to us did the same.

They then brought the veg….in Kilner jars. Now that’s just weird! ? the top layer was cauliflower cheese so it looked like Piccalilli. I didn’t bother trying to put it on the plate. It was easier to eat it straight from the jar. The food was delicious though so we didn’t complain but suggested they should serve the jus separately. They said they used to do that but there was too much waste. I wonder why that was?? ?

Hope everyone has a good day and that it’s a better one for grandMattie who is in my thoughts.

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
A special hug and lots of love to GrandMattie, and thinking of you both.
It is wet and rainy here, and I have to be at the Dr's for a blood test and a VitB12 injection. So that's my morning sorted. Then I think we will just stay on and keep warm.
Wishing Ginster and Chrissielou's daughters all the best.
Have a good day one and all.

monk08 Mon 04-Apr-22 09:13:44

Good morning all from the Black country bit dull out rain overnight
Yippee I have a negative result after 10 days, DH still showing positive though but we're getting there.
Loving the cat pic Ash especially the ginger one.
Haven't read through yet so I'm sending best wishes to anyone celebrating, virtual hugs where needed and may you all find some ?.

EkwaNimitee Mon 04-Apr-22 09:13:08

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey windy Carlisle where it has rained during the night.
I am still feeling roughish from whatever bug I am combatting (not covid) but am trying to ignore it and carry on as usual, which today is laundry and housework. I made it to the garden centre yesterday and picked out some roses and maybe someday soon I will be up to planting them! The garden centre is one of those huge ones which is very popular with folk but you see very few of them actually looking for plants. I am a rarity, getting to the checkout with a trolley full of them.

Heartily wishing you and your DH better days grandMattie.

dragonfly46 Mon 04-Apr-22 08:44:00

Good morning from soggy Leicestershire.

I had my first negative LFT yesterday so if I have another today I am allowed out - hooray!

So sorry to hear you are struggling GrandMattie hope today is better.
Wishing everyone a good day.

Chris3 Mon 04-Apr-22 08:37:52

Good morning from windy South Yorkshire. U3a walkies this morning then meeting this afternoon will keep us occupied. Hope things get better for you Grandmattie and love to all those with troubles and illness. Have a good day all xx

Ali23 Mon 04-Apr-22 08:37:00

Hello all, I was going to say from sunny Leicester, but the sun’s just disappeared!
We’re off to the local park for our walk, then a quick trip to do a food shop.

Last night I tried to book a few days away at our favourite haunt in the Lakes, and just at the last minute it said the page had expired. Going to try the telephone method today , old -style!

Sending best wishes to GM and hubby, hoping that you both find some peace today.

Grammaretto Mon 04-Apr-22 08:27:56

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where there is a warm wind. 9°C
I complained months ago to their landlord about my neighbours' bins blocking our mutual entrance way (it's a block of flats so talking about 10 wheelie bins) and yesterday they had been moved into their proper bin store.smile
There is a God at least someone reading my messages!
It's the last day for my helper so we may do something nice, after housework. The DGC are on school holiday so will come over for a day this week.
So sorry to read that many of your families are poorly.
Enjoy the day as best you can.

harrigran Mon 04-Apr-22 08:23:54

Good morning from a damp Lake District.
Yesterday the family went out walking, were gone for four hours and came back frozen. I walked to the village shop, bought a newspaper and spent the afternoon doing a crossword in the cosy kitchen.
DS lit the logburner and they thawed out with hot beverages.
I don't know what is planned for today but it won't involve me yomping across fells.
My heart goes out to you grandMattie, it is exhausting.

Anniebach Mon 04-Apr-22 08:18:12

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Urmstongran Mon 04-Apr-22 08:17:06

No Matt = Monday.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s raining. The train station platforms are full of commuters. Remember Monday mornings off to work?

We have no plans. I think I will start a new novel today and this afternoon ring a couple of friends for a chat and see how they’re doing. Enjoy Monday all who can. x

Nannagarra Mon 04-Apr-22 08:09:56
