I am glad to hear you are seeing a doctor Mick and hope it goes well. Greetings all from the Isle of Wight. Lovely birdsong here this morning.

BlueBalou Wed 06-Apr-22 06:12:29

Good morning Michael, I hope you’re feeling better?
It’s a very wet start here in Wiltshire, I was quite surprised but pleased because the garden needs it.
Hoping I am getting over the worst from having Covid, it’s been a miserable few days.
Hoping everyone has a good day x

Ashcombe Wed 06-Apr-22 06:14:19

Good morning, all from a dull but milder Sarthe. The tulips and some budding shrubs have not fared well in recent frosts.

I’m glad you’re seeing your GP today, Mick. A face to face appointment is an achievement these days!

DH has completed the mowing so today we shall go shopping. I enjoy the novelty of French supermarkets. Lidl here is only just introducing the smart phone loyalty card which we’ve had in the UK for quite a while.

I hope there is better news of our poorly members and those for whom they care, especially grandMattie’s DH. ??????

grandMattie Wed 06-Apr-22 06:21:03

Good morning from a grey E Kent. I hope the sun comes out later.
A very busy day yesterday - all happening.
1. Excellent news from Iris. The consultant is delighted with her progress. She is now allowed to weight bear on her leg, plaster coming off in 6 weeks. ??The old one has been replaced with one in all the colours of the rainbow splashed on it! ?
2. The consultant visited and had an extremely thorough chat with us. She has stopped some drugs, told us about the dangers of others, big decisions made. Very happy with the talk.
3. Removal of extra drugs meant that, although DH didn’t have that much sleep, there were no night terrors. Must be a good thing!
4. A shower stool arrived and will be a great help for balance.
All in all an improvement.
I am deeply grateful for all your pms, kind thoughts, advice, encouragement. Thank you.
Carpe diem, dear virtual friends, May today bring sunshine into your hearts. ????❤️❤️❤️?

Goof Morning everyone from a cloudy south coast. We are promised strong winds and rain from 9am and for much of the day so the hatches need to be battened down again.

Good to hear that you are seeing your GP Mick. Hope you get sorted out so you can start your travels again.

DS is coming for breakfast for before returning to Essex after his advanced motorbike course finished last night. He has been sleeping at a friend's house in the next village as we do not have a spare room any more but coming to us for meals. Loved having him to ourselves for this short spell.

Thinking of all Grans with worries or health problems especially grandMattie and her DH. Hope today is a better one for you all. flowers

Good morning all from soggy East Renfrewshire.

I hope your GP is able to get to the bottom of your problems Mick.

Glad to hear you sounding better today gMattie, such good news about Iris.

Another working day for me after we drop the little one off at nursery. He is always delighted to go to play with his friends.

Have the best day possible everyone. ??

cornergran Wed 06-Apr-22 06:56:03

Morning Mick, morning All from a blustery, damp corner of Somerset.

We continue to hide in the conservatory. The decorator continues to decorate. With luck he’ll finish today. The speed and professionalism is impressive. What he’s done in two days would take us a week of grumbling.

I’m pleased you’ll see your doctor, Mick. Sounds a positive if busy day grandmattie. Thoughts are with you both. It is good to have some time with the adult sons gaga. A strange upside from one sons divorce for us. Enjoy your shopping Ash.

Take care everyone. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Scentia Wed 06-Apr-22 07:11:29

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it feels less cold today.
Woke up to a lovely message from Urmstongran so thought I better pop in to say Hi.
I am ok as is DH, I haven’t been posting for a while as I have been sleeping so much better I don’t have time usually in the mornings as I am straight off to work/nanna duties.
Sorry to read that GM is having worries about her DH❤️
I will try to post more often and pop in and read your news as I feel very ‘out of it’ reading this morning!
DH’s heart attack has made us much more relaxed as a family and that is probably why I am later rising of a morning, apart from today as DS is taking DH on a motorcycle trip around the South of France. DH has had to miss his USA trip for a third time and was very upset so DS arranged a trip to Europe.❤️ He is most relaxed when he is on his motorcycle or out running and cycling. I wish he would sell our business and retire, he says it’s not the right time!
Take care everyone and❤️

Gingster Wed 06-Apr-22 07:21:42

Good morning all and it’s grey here in Essex. I’ve had a rough night. Think it was too much cheese! ?.

Today we are travelling up to our cottage by the sea,- our DD won’t need us for a few days , and we need to see our boiler man and our lovely handiman . We’re having a new boiler fitted and need to clear out rooms, cupboards etc so he has space to move. It’s going to be a big job as all the existing system is very old and everything needs replacing. ?.

GM - I’m pleased to hear you had a positive day yesterday. May it continue. ?. Iris is doing so well, bless her ?

Mick - it’s good to see the doc, to put your mind at rest!

Thankyou for all your kind thoughts for my DD. ❤️

The weather doesn’t look great but try to enjoy your days, everyone! ???

kittylester Wed 06-Apr-22 07:30:11

Good morning all from a drizzly North Leicestershire.

I have woken up with a swollen painful knee. No idea what has happened. I appear to be collapsing bit by bit.

DD1 has her pre-op today and DH has a physio appt today. We seem to be getting our money's worth currently!!

Have the best day possible everyone.

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 06-Apr-22 07:36:16

Hope Marydoll is ok don't seem to have heard much recently from her?^^
Going to have to take our printer back to Curry’s. It seems to have forgotten it’s purpose, and it’s innards have fallen out!
Enjoy your shopping with a different accent Ashcombe
Have the best day possible folks!

Beechnut Wed 06-Apr-22 07:36:19

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s been raining and the sky is grey.

Your post is sounding more cheery Mattie. Nice to see ou Scentia. Hope your DH enjoys his trip. ?

Crafting for me this morning and then I will do something with some fennel I bought. Will clean out the fridge too. I had a nice chat on FaceTime with only my sister in law yesterday. My brother had gone out to play golf. His last chance for about two weeks.

Welcome to the new posters and have a good day all ??

Urmstongran Wed 06-Apr-22 07:44:56

Here’s Matt.

? Scentia so glad you’re back with us!

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s damp. It’s our turn to see the Boy Wonder in his Easter school concert this morning. Then Himself is doing a favour for a neighbour who knocked on at teatime to ask. Her husband had a heart attack last year six months after retirement and then last week he was diagnosed with bowel cancer which has already spread to his liver and lung. He goes to the Christie tomorrow for his first appointment. The news shocked our little community. He is such a nice man and this has shaken them both to the core. No wonder grandMattie urges us all to seize he day.

Anyway this afternoon we are meeting old friends (in more ways than one) up the road in a bar for drinks and a proper catch up. We’ve chatted on the phone but due to them having Covid, then Christmas, then us bobbing over to Spain we haven’t seen them for months. It will be lovely to spend a couple of hours with them.

Right, I’ll stop wittering and let someone else get a word in edgeways. Enjoy Wednesday all who can. We have a duty to do so on behalf of others less fortunate. x

Beauregard Wed 06-Apr-22 07:44:57

Good morning from Derbyshire. Dry at the moment but showers to come.

It's DH's birthday today, but it won't be a good one as he is still feeling really ill, so any celebrations are cancelled. He tested negative again yesterday though, so we're not sure what it is.
Another quiet day at home for him. I'll see if he'd like a favourite meal making for dinner.

It's good to hear better news from grandMattie flowers

Hope today is a better day for those feeling unwell, or with family worries flowers

ShazzaKanazza Wed 06-Apr-22 07:53:33

Good morning Mick and everyone from a wet Hull. It’s just belted down which is good for the hot border in the garden.
Good to hear to are seeing the Dr Mick

grandMattie pleased you had a positive day yesterday and good news about Iris

Ginster enjoy being back at the cottage and the sea air even if it is to work while your there.

Scentia after all you have been through with DH it’s good to hear he has a new relaxed outlook. We gave our business up in 2014 when DH was ill I couldn’t believe it when he said we were finishing. We were still relatively young. But was delighted. He just works now whenever he chooses too it’s really nice to be able to do what we enjoy.

Today we are going to the gym this morning and this afternoon picking up DGS from school. Had lovely cuddles with GDs yesterday. Baby holding is the best.
Take care everyone and hope Wednesday brings a moment of joy??

Pittcity Wed 06-Apr-22 07:54:28

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Mild but windy with rain forecast for later.
A natter at Wednesday coffee meetup this morning. The lighter weight Mac is out with layers beneath as the weather is so changeable.
Love to all ? x

NannyJan53 Wed 06-Apr-22 08:01:20

Good morning from a very grey and dull Black Country.

Didn't do a lot yesterday, went to the gym in the morning, and read in the afternoon, whilst MrJ went on a long cycle ride with his club.

This morning I am meeting a friend for coffee and a chat. For various reasons, we have not met up since before Christmas, so lots to catch up on.

Lovely to see you Scentia and that your DH is well.

Welcome to this thread Nacky (interesting name) everyone is so friendly and welcoming here.

Wishing you all a good day, with special thoughts of our Marydoll and all unwell or caring for loved ones

Grandmabatty Wed 06-Apr-22 08:02:08

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and damp. It looks like it will rain soon with very heavy skies.
I'm glad you had a better day yesterday GrandMattie. It's good to see you posting Scentia.
Yesterday was another nothing day. I did very little and annoyed myself. I should have been seeing a friend but she cancelled and is being cagy about why. She'll tell me in her own time I suppose. The good news was my art class restarts next week. I really enjoy going.
Today I will visit mum but that's all I have planned. I will potter about afterwards I expect. Have a good day all.

ShazzaKanazza Wed 06-Apr-22 08:03:44
