in an alternate universe, imagine if she'd married andrew parker-bowles, and charles had married camilla straight off.
we'd probably not have such a good-looking heir and next, but maybe they'd all still be growing old together...and the queen less anni horribili ?
but andrew p-b is rc, i think? perhaps that was the problem ? not insuperable, rules could be changed, or he could have changed, although that's tricky, with the history. ho hum.
