I dislike those silly nails worn by people who don`t do any physical work using their hands. I also hate fish lips, horrible, so unattractive
Does Ginger Tea Make You Feel Better When You're Sick?
Whilst away last week I watched three young ladies of around 18 at breakfast, their attire was eye catching to say the least but their nails were something else!
Bejewelled with intricate designs and so long the girls couldn’t hold their cutlery properly, they resorted to eating with their fingers.
My husband wanted to know how they wipe their bottoms????.
I have difficulty keeping my nails looking good and only once resorted to a set of acrylic nails for my sons wedding, never again, it’s taken me months to restore my nails.
Do you think false nails are attractive?

If having gel nails you need to go to a salon that doesn't use drills on your nails.
I don't know about acrylics as I've never had those maybe it's the same situation.
Mine are in the best shape for a long time.
I like the look of false nails if they're not too long.
But I don't see the point of having them so long that you can't use a knife and fork, or if it interferes wirh your job in anyway.
My hairdresser's two apprentices have long Talons and it means they can't wash or rinse near the clients scalps properly.
Why she doesn't just say, look, If you work here get rid of the nails. I don't know. Nurses have to.
I think she's worried about offending one of them, for certain reasons.
I also don't understand mothers with babies having long talons.
How are they supposed to change the nappies properly. I bet they're forever scratching the poor babies nether regions.
Also, if the baby does a poonami, doesn't it get under the false nails,????
They are unhygienic. The number of germs under the fingernails is staggering. Imagine making pastry with them. (I know, they probably don't).
Hate anything false. Nails, eyebrows, lips, leashes, boobs, bums. Some women look like Kewpie dolls. Yuk !
Mary Berry’s gel nails looked awful on one of her cookery shows. Not suited to her old hands, and just looked wrong to be making pastry or whatever with them.
My opinion only, of course.
I don't like them, never had them, but don't like the sound of what they do to your own nails. . I just buff my own nails with buffing cream. It's makes them look healthy with natural shine. I need my nails quite short to play the ukulele. Mind you, I am always amazed to see Dolly Parton playing the guitar beautifully with long fake nails.
I used to have gel nails. Loved em. Not too long and I don't like garish colours, although I do love a dark grey or even black.
Haven't got the time or the money now.
Have gel put on my nails every 3 weeks. Love it. No filing involved if you find a good technician.
Also have my hair dyed( roots ) every 3/4 weeks & blow dry. Have cut every other visit.
Put make up on every day too & always dress up if going out.
Eat a healthy diet & watch the scales too.
My appearance is important to me. Mother and sister didn’t bother with any of it
Guess we’re all different!
They can look nice, to a limit. Several workmates have longer fancy nails, and I always ask to see what new style they have when they get re-done. My limit is to the point where they cannot use the keyboard or pick things up properly! Then it's just silly in my opinion.
It's not for me though. I keep my nails natural and shortish.
I will get gel polish on my toes for summertime.
I wear false nails, have done for over 20+ years, not long 1s that prevent the menial of tasks taking place. I have a bag in the downstairs bedroom that is choka with various
Oooops... i pressed post before finished ...
The bag is full of various colours and styles, i love them, wouldn't be without. If 1 pings off, I just glue another back on.
They have been commented on many times, how lovely my nails are, I have to disclose the fact they are false .... stick on.... change of clothes = change if nails...

I don’t like fake nails at all, especially the over-long ones, though I think they can be very useful for habitual nail biters - their own can grow up underneath and with a bit of luck they’ll be very happy with them and will have grown out of the habit.
Sadly it didn’t work for a friend’s dd who had them done for a family wedding, though.
I keep my own fairly short and do my own manicures, with just clear polish. I do my own pedicures too, and now the weather’s warming up - sandal time! it’s high time for another. I do use coloured polish for toes. Might do it today. I hate seeing unkempt-looking feet in sandals.
I have reasonably decent medium length nails and do my own manicures. I have twice visited a salon for shellac polish - never again! After having the shellac removed (it was growing out) my nails were in a terrible condition- weak, dry, splitting. It took months before they recovered.
I was a nail biter as a child, and still resort to it now, when I'm stressed. It's an unconscious action. I'll look at my hands and suddenly see I've bitten the nails off.
Gel nails stop me doing that. I'd have them again if I had the money and the time.
They are so pretty Bellasnana ?
I wonder if gel nails are less damaging than shellac? Anyone know? If they are, I might be tempted; Bellasnana's look gorgeous.
No don’t like them! I paint my own couple of times a week, we nailvarnishes containing gel
Hate them! Never worn false nails and never will. I don't even paint my nails. I'll admit that many false nails are very pretty and artistic but I still don't like them. I'm sure having something glued to your nails day after day can't be very healthy for your natural nails.
When I learned to type at school (nearly 60 years ago) on a manual Imperial typewriter we had to have short nails so that we could really hammer the keys with the tips of our fingers, not the pads as keyboard users do now. I still type that way. I still keep my nails short. If they extend beyond the tips of my fingers they're too long for me and I don't like the feel of them.
With loo paper!
I have to admit I love false nails or acrylics or shellac. I have acrylic nails and have the infills done every 3 weeks. Sometimes my nails are filed down short, other times I have them long. I look on Pinterest for nail art ideas and love it.
