So excited- my granddaughter is in labour having a little girl. So hoping she has her today, Easter Sunday. It would be really special. We have 5 hours to go here being ahead in time. Any of you born on a Special day ? I was actually due Christmas Day but didn’t quite make it . One of our granddaughters was born 15 th March so we told her all about the Ides of March . My uncle was Boxing Day.
My twin grandsons were born on New Year's Eve. We were hoping they would be born on different dates but the labour was pretty quick and they arrived around 8pm, December 31st 2012.
My daughter was born on 24th June, the Nativity of John the Baptist. A cousin on 15th July, St. Swithuns day. A niece on 29th February, leap year day. An aunt on Christmas day. My mother at Easter, a movable feast.
I was my parents third child, born on their third wedding anniversary. I was obviously not mum’s favourite anniversary gift as she told me it was really hard for her as they ‘didn’t have abortion then’! ?
Oh my, grannyactivist. You know she probably just came out with that without thinking and may not have really meant it ! One of my children was conceived after my husband had had a vasectomy ( no, we couldn’t wait long enough). She found out and I had a job on to convince her she was very much a wanted baby and loved and she was definitely meant to be here.
S2 born late evening of New Years's Eve. Had to get a move on to prevent NYD. No mail delivery then and and didn't want him to miss the thrill of the Postie. Things we do/think!
nanna8 - I didn’t hold it against my mother, it was simply a statement of fact. She went on to have many more children, but I was the most ‘inopportune’ baby.
My birthday is the shortest day so I have always felt a bit cheated! And I hated being given ‘joint birthday and Christmas presents’ ? DD was born on Easter Saturday ?
It's my birthday today so often falls around Easter. The day I was born in 1955 is the day Albert Einstein died. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions!
