So excited- my granddaughter is in labour having a little girl. So hoping she has her today, Easter Sunday. It would be really special. We have 5 hours to go here being ahead in time.
Any of you born on a Special day ? I was actually due Christmas Day but didn’t quite make it . One of our granddaughters was born 15 th March so we told her all about the Ides of March . My uncle was Boxing Day.

Not born a special day, but very occasionally my birthday has fallen on Good Friday or Easter Sunday .
My absolute favourite time of year is Eastertide, so when my Birthday as in this year falls during Easter, it feels very special indeed.

I was born on Easter Day 1950 and my 21st birthday in 1971 fell on Good Friday. I don’t remember the date coinciding in the years in between but could be wrong!

I was born 81 years ago today, in a small village 10 miles from Glasgow during Herr Hitler's bombing of the docks in Glasgow and Clydebank. It was certainly a special day for my mum. The third of 3 daughter's.

Happy birthday, nipsmum

But Easter is a moveable feast so OP’s gd won’t always have her birthday on Easter Sunday anyway. Whatever day she is born it is special.

Yes, Whit Sunday is a moveable feast too as it's the seventh Sunday after Easter.
I have been to Pentecost Island.

I was born on Hitler's last birthday. Cheers!

My son’s 10th birthday fell on Easter Sunday, so not so special for him. Still was for us!

The Christmas ones are the worst. SIL Christmas Eve.

Warning - may upset some people. Our DD1 was born on the Queen's 50th birthday 21 April 1976. Sadly she died suddenly when she was 7 months old. I try to celebrate Her Majesty's birthday every year but it is a day of sadness for us.

I was born on Valentine's Day, and since I have had bad relationships I hate having it as a birthday. I can't stand the drippy sentimental cards or ads or the flowers and isn't everything expensive on Valentine's Day! Another thing I can't stand is I have had leftovers from Christmas for birthday presents like chocs, biscuits and wine.

nanna8 Congratulations to you all

Nope.
Just an ordinary, run of the mill day for me.
Not the first or last of the month, and nobody notable I share it with, either, as far as I know.

My GD was born, in the caul, at 09 on 09/09. Im sure, somewhere, it has some significance ?.
I arrived on a boring Wednesday, ‘full of woe’?

Callistemon21 Mon 18-Apr-22 22:35:23

It's a lucky number, Marmight, so thrice lucky.
As is being born in the caul.

I was due on Christmas Day but was late. New Year’s Day also passed by before I arrived and I’ve always regretted that I was not born then.
My grandmother’s first child was born on 1st, her second on 2nd and her third on 3rd of the same month.

I honestly think any day is special the day you are born.

Guy Fawkes Day, but there were no fireworks in 1940. All the flashes and bangs came courtesy of the Luftwaffe.

Allsorts - you're right. Then it's up to each of us to make the most of the life we're given.
I once worked out that my hebrew dob was the same as that of Moses but that doesn't mean I have to emulate him.
