Good Morning Everyone,
Its a bright start ,and looks like the start of another nice day .
My plan is to go to Bicester , for my usual hour before returning home to watch cycling TV .
I am still taking things from day to day , although landing on my nose when I had the accident , its slowly healing although not broken.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all who follow, pleased that life is getting back to normal for you.
Looks as though it will be another lovely day here in Oxfordshire.
Housework and laundry today and then maybe a drive out somewhere as I’m going stir crazy, not been out for over a week.
Have a good day everyone and hugs for those who are having a tough time.

BlueBalou Tue 19-Apr-22 06:26:26

Good morning, it’s good to hear you’re getting better Mick!
I feel really ropey this morning, no idea why ☹️
A dog training session later this morning then a quiet day me thinks.
Hope you all have a good day x

Urmstongran Tue 19-Apr-22 06:32:09

No Matt today.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where we have a promising start to the day as the sky is a pretty pink wash in the early morning sunshine.

I set the alarm (funny how I always wake before it if I do) as we are minding the Boy Wonder and L’il Miss today and tomorrow. Their school opens on Thursday but their mum’s school reopens today so she’s back in work. Crazy I think, you’d think all Trafford schools would have the same holidays.

Have a good Tuesday all who can. Hope Ashcombe and olddudders had a stress free journey yesterday and that grandMattie is coping with a houseful and is cheered. x

Good morning everyone from a grey Essex by the sea.
I'm going to pick up my new glasses and sunglasses this morning and a few other things I need ready for our holiday in a couple of weeks.
DH's boat is being lifted out of the water today so he will be there making sure that it all goes smoothly.
Love to all with worries or anyone not feeling too good.
I hope you have the best Tuesday you can xx

Good morning all from bright and sunny South Lanarkshire.

Pleased to hear that you’re on the mend Mick.

Love the Lake District Susan, enjoy your last day.

Working again today, lots of mannequins to change, that’s one of my favourite tasks, like playing dress up dolls again.

I hope everyone has the best possible day. Sending a hug to those who could use one. ??

Gagagran Tue 19-Apr-22 06:47:40

Good Morning everyone from a clear bright south coast 5.0c.

I have a list of things to do today and will enjoy ticking them off. I am an inveterate list maker, always have been, and would be lost without them. I think it's a way of keeping some sort of order and control over life - that's a bit deep this early in the morning but it is something I have considered.

Hope Ash and olddudders had a safe trip and are soon back in their UK abode. Also hoping that gMattie is not worn out looking after their visitors as well as her poorly DH. It's always hard work having a house full even though you love them wholeheartedly.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear corner of Somerset.

A quiet day yesterday. Off to have breakfast with our elder son today, looking forward to catching up, a treat to have time on our own with him.

Thinking of everyone with worries of any kind. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Ashcombe Tue 19-Apr-22 06:55:04

A fine morning in Portsmouth after a short night in Travelodge.

The kind wishes for our journey yesterday were much appreciated. Some headlines:-
Easy driving in France.
Boarded in good time.
Late leaving.
Crowded ship.
Slept in cabin
No hot food - the ship’s food outlets completely overwhelmed.
Long wait for immigration.
Reached nearby TL at 11.30, having docked at 9.30.
Causes:
post Covid staff shortages
Bank Hol
Effect of P & O troubles and DFDS ship grounding at Dunkirk.

And they say worse things happen at sea ………! ???

Good Morning everyone from a bright Severnside.

My weekend did not follow the original plan. I went to Beechnutella and her fella instead of them coming here.
Today is the first day of some work I’m having done so I hope all goes well.

Have a good day all and safe travels ??

BlueSapphire Tue 19-Apr-22 07:05:35

Good morning everyone from a bright Northampton where the sun is trying to peek through. Had a lovely time with DD in glorious weather yesterday at Lamport Hall, browsing around a vintage and antiques fair. Lots of lovely stuff (and a fair bit of tat!), but nothing took my fancy.

Have a neighbours' (and ex-neighbours') coffee morning here today; I made coffee buns yesterday and need to ice them shortly. And then run the hoover over the sitting room before folks arrive.

May do some gardening this afternoon to try and clear the rest of the weeds, and then fork over the borders.

Safe journeys to all travelling.

Pittcity Tue 19-Apr-22 07:10:35

Good morning from Colchester where it's bright with fluffy white clouds. There is rain in today's forecast.
Charity shop volunteering today.
DH is off fishing and DS will probably do nothing much as he is home all week.
Love to all ? x

Grandmabatty Tue 19-Apr-22 07:11:16

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 3° with lovely blue skies. I was very very lazy yesterday which isn't good for me. I suppose if I limit it to once every so often. Today I have no plans but will potter around. Have a good day all.

kittylester Tue 19-Apr-22 07:13:27

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

We had a lovely time with everyone at DD3's house yesterday. We saw DD1 who looked well but tired.

BiL had a visit from his daughter (result!!!) And DH is making an appointment with the physio (another result!!!)

We have a Sky man coming today, I have a singing lesson and we need to return some stuff to M&S by today.

Thank you all for your good wishes yesterday. My problems were mere irritations compared with the real problems people are facing but it's good to let off steam a bit on here.

Sending love and support to those who really need it.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 19-Apr-22 07:16:48

Morning Mick and all

It’s grey here in S E Essex, I think I can see a chink of blue.

We have the 7 yr old and The Imp today, not sure what we shall do with them???

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

brook2704 Tue 19-Apr-22 07:17:15

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve a sunny start to the day but it still looks breezy. Take care when out and about mick
Not the best journey Ash but hopefully you’ll be home soon
DD2 and family are safely back from their holidays but the DGC are straight back to school today so will have to wait a few more days before we see them
I’ll be out in the garden again today, I’ve still lots to do and I really enjoy this time of year.
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

ShazzaKanazza Tue 19-Apr-22 07:21:01

Good morning Mick and everyone from a cloudy but dry Hull.
That journey sounds horrid Ashcombe.
Bank holiday travel is awful at the best of times without everything else on top at the moment.

Yesterday we met DS, DGS in Bridlington for fish and chips and sat on the cliff top overlooking the view. They went home so DH and I had a long walk. It was very busy and lovely to see the shops and amusements packed out with families having a lovely time.
Today DGS is coming in an hour as his dad is bringing him then going to work. He’ll probably arrive in his pyjamas straight from bed. It’s a long day so will break it up with a couple of park trips.
Have a good day everyone and hope Tuesday brings a moment of joy ??

Grandmajean Tue 19-Apr-22 07:25:38

Sunny here in Cheshire. Not sure how warm , though.
GC back at school. Seems very soon after Easter. I remember always having one week before and one after.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 19-Apr-22 07:28:03

Morning all from a bright West Oxfordshire. We are having a new bookcase delivered today so it will be fun reordering some of our books. Otherwise lots of laundry and ironing. This evening I am listening to a National Portrait Gallery talk on the Bloomsbury Group.

Marydoll Tue 19-Apr-22 07:33:26

Good morning from a sunny Glasgow. It's 3°C here too, Grandmabatty.

Nothing interesting to report. I had a disturbed night, including a car alarm going off and night terrors. ( Mr MD, got a bit of a fright!) Strong, new meds tend to have that effect on me.
Its a price that has to be paid to stay out of hospital.
Like every other Covid warrior, I'm counting down the days to freedom, despite the fact I have no inclination to go out!

I'm planning to phone my GP, this morning and am praying that I get one of the nicer receptionists, with a sympathetic ear.

Not the easiest of journeys, Ash, I suspect you will glad to be home.
Hoping that all is well as it can be for GM and Kitty and her family. My thoughts are also with all those, whose burden is heavy. My brain is a bit addled, but I think Chrissielou's daughter had her treatment yesterday, I hope she isn't suffering too much today.
Enjoy this lovely spring day. ?

Grandmadinosaur Tue 19-Apr-22 07:40:32

Good morning all from East Yorkshire where it is is 8 degrees. Cloudy but dry.

Normality returns here today with DH back in the office. I will be going to my coffee morning. I’ve missed a couple of weeks so will be lots to catch up on. Home for a quick lunch then a dentist appointment just after that. Fitting of my crown … at last! Will be glad to get it all done with. Later this afternoon I have a phone catch up with my friend who lives on the south coast. We haven’t spoken for a couple of months so again lots to catch up on. In normal times we meet up a few times a year in London so we may arrange to do so in the near future.

Take care everyone.

Chrissielou Tue 19-Apr-22 07:52:05

Good morning from another bright morning in Oxfordshire. Marydoll, how very kind of you to remember, especially when you are so poorly. DD1 is having her chemo session today as the clinic doesn't operate on Bank Holidays. She has just started to lose her hair, which although it was of course expected, it was a bit shocking.
After such a lovely break I am back to work. Doesn't exacrly fill me with joy but at least I am still able to work from home and work around DD1's hospital visits, so I shouldn't grumble.

Wishing you all a happy, trouble-free day.

grandMattie Tue 19-Apr-22 07:55:20

Very late (for me) good morning from an overcast E Kent. There was a fabulous Manet-esque sunrise as I was driving to the supermarket.
Had a wonderful afternoon with DD and family. DH was more alert and awake than I have seen him for days!
I had got some charms for DD1’s bracelet, which went down really well. The order had come with a free bracelet to which I added an ammonite charm for Iris. She too was pleased! Result.
Seeing them briefly today as we have a full day, with cleaner, nurse, palliative care consultant…
Glad you’re home safely Ash, and Marydoll is doing ok. BTW*Ash*, being a native French speaker, to me there is a subtle difference between between bonk and banquet… ?
Carpe diem. ??????

grandMattie Tue 19-Apr-22 07:55:40

Grr. Banque not banquet!
