Good Morning Everyone,
Its a bright start ,and looks like the start of another nice day .
My plan is to go to Bicester , for my usual hour before returning home to watch cycling TV .
I am still taking things from day to day , although landing on my nose when I had the accident , its slowly healing although not broken.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning and yes GG it’s a bit grey and dull. We might see some ☀️Later.

We enjoyed our coffee morning with DB and SIL yesterday. Always good company!

Today I’ll be taking twin gs’s to the orthodontist. Hopefully one will have his brace off today. It’s amazing the difference it’s made. ?.

This afternoon Bridge club so looking forward to that. Such a lovely group of people - some I’ve known for nearly 50 years. (Not playing bridge all that time though) ?.

I must phone the hospital to alter my appointments for a follow up Glaucoma test. It’s next Monday and DD is due at another hospital for ‘hopefully’ results on her foot biopsies. It can take up to 8 weeks ?. She has her second immunotherapy infusion on Thursday. We’ve had a couple of weeks with no appointments or treatment, so we feel like life has gone back to ‘normal’ but it will all start up again now!

Kitty - nice for your DD to see family and I hope she’s progressing well. ?.

Chrissielou best wishes to you and your DD with her ongoing treatment. Always thinking of her. ?

Welcome back Ash . You’ll be glad for a few quiet days after your journey.

Hoping you all have a gentle day.???

Good morning all from the Black country, haven't looked out yet but the heating is on so it can't be very warm.
Hairdressers today it needs it had to cancel when I had covid.
7 of us are due to go to Portugal in 2wks, yesterday we heard 1 of the party had fallen and broken his hip, the last time we booked for a group of us DH had his heart attacks,. I think someone is telling us don't book as a group.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some ?.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning all, sunshine in S Hants, heating kicked in at 6:30, must be chilly.
I too love a list Gagagran notebook at my side.
Brittany not at their best Ashcombe, I’ll wave as you pass on the M27.
Children still on Easter break here, so won’t be going far, I need some bits from the garden centre, they can wait. I’ve had a reminder my eye test is due, so I’ll book that and chase up the man replacing our bedroom window.
My best wishes to those poorly, or with family struggling.
May today being you a ?or two.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where the sun is up but it feels chilly so far
I sowed all the seeds yesterday in the greenhouse so there better not be a hard frost

Glad you are better Mick.
Thinking of you Chrissielou . It is hard to watch your DC suffering.
Today I'm getting a haircut, chasing up the kitchen tradesman, and supervising my 18yr old Helper sanding and painting 2 garden chairs.
I gave her the task of hanging out the washing yesterday. She didn't use pegs! Is that usual? I wonder if youngsters are too used to tumble driers, they don't have basic household skills.

Have as best a day as you can. Enjoy the sunshine sunshine

Good morning from a bright south east London.

Little DGS had to be at the hospital 40 minutes away yesterday at 7.30 to have his head looked at. They were very pleased with the treatment for his wound they had given him in Brighton so did no need sedation and stitches, just more tape. He goes back next week.
We came to my DDs to plan a trip to Oz later in the year. My SiL is Australian and wants to take us.
Then home today.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Mapleleaf Tue 19-Apr-22 08:20:27

God morning all,

A cloudier and cooler start to the day today, but dry for now.

It sounds as if you had a very tiring journey home, Ash once you left French shores. A relaxing day at home today, perhaps, to gather yourself together?

Not a lot on my agenda today, other than a quick supermarket visit and a few household chores.

I hope you all have the best day you can. Take care.

Good morning all cloudy here in W Kent.
Have to go out today but feeling rough after 4th jab, not sure why, so will just do what's necessary and have the day off I think.
Good wishes to all

LauraNorderr Tue 19-Apr-22 09:14:56

Good morning Mick and all from the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, blue skies, fluffy white clouds, fluffy white lambs, green leaves beginning to cover naked trees, bluebells everywhere and our granddaughter just stirring upstairs.
Yesterday we hunted razor clams with a whole pack of salt and not much success. Today we’ll sit outside with some board games and perhaps stretch to a game of boules.
Thinking of your daughter Chrissielou, a long and difficult road, tough time for you all.
Hope everyone finds a random pink flamingo or two today.
Those coffee buns sound delicious BlueSapphire, my favourite. One of those would be my flamingo for today.
????????

Good morning everyone, lovely sunny day so far , it would have been ideal for the man to do the base of the new greenhouse , but …..no show , he will turn up some day .
The green house isn’t here anyway , only bits came , missing part came damaged so waiting for another big box of parts
Back to the Crochet

merlotgran Tue 19-Apr-22 09:26:31

Good morning everyone from the sunny south. Waving Ashcombe Bon Voyage across the Solent for the rest of the journey home.

Quick trip to Aldi this morning then more gardening and greenhouse jobs.

Best wishes to all with worries. Take care of yourselves.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 19-Apr-22 09:38:01

What a beautiful idyllic picture of Anglesey you paint this morning Lauranorder . Thank you .

ginny Tue 19-Apr-22 09:46:55

Good morning. It is very quiet now that the rest of the family have gone home.
Still, a bright start weather wise so must get going.
Thinking of a trip to Bakewell with stops at anywhere we like the look of on the way.
Healing thoughts to all with troubles of any kind.

hollysteers Tue 19-Apr-22 09:48:49

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny northwest coast.
It’s been nice taking in some sunshine and today will wash the sheets on the king size bed in spare room after DGDs stay. It’s really too big to manage for me, plus it’s generous array of pillows etc. looks nice, but a bother.
Off to sing this avvie so have been trying out my backings with enjoyment.
My jet washer hasn’t turned up, promised sometime over the weekend and I’d like the patio done soon, wood pigeons etc have made a mess. Wonky right arm and bad back put me off doing it myself, it’s rather big.
Thoughts to Chrissielou and anyone with troubles ???

harrigran Tue 19-Apr-22 09:50:36

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Slept in this morning after a late night reading my book.
I think I will get the washer on and do the bedding because I will be able to dry it outside.
A walk round the garden yesterday and checked my geraniums, they have not only survived the winter but have buds on and are ready to flower. Really unusual for the far north of England.
Enjoy the better weather.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 19-Apr-22 09:54:35

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Slept in this morning after having a strange dream about being in a cafe at the top of a very old building. DHwas with me but disappeared. I was telling him of the dream so he asked where he was, I had to say I’d hoped he would tell me because I’d been looking for him!!
Yesterday both DDs arrived with Easter eggs galore and one small DGd
It proved hectic but lovely that they called in. Dgs was with his dad.
Dd1 has just phoned to say she was nearly sick last night after eating too much chocolate. Yes I did give her some in the hope of having less myself!
Your journey home sounds almost a nightmare Ashcombe but at least you are safe home?
Have the best day possible folks

henetha Tue 19-Apr-22 10:01:34

Good morning from south of Dartmoor. It was a really cold night but the sun is out now.
I need to go into town to collect my meds which were due last Thursday but were not ready. So I hope they are today.
I've been collecting yoghurt pots and am going to plant seeds in them today. Nasturtiums and sunflowers. The sunflowers are to show my support for Ukraine.
A peaceful day everyone.

Taichinan Tue 19-Apr-22 10:33:48

This is the Angus coast today - not a cloud to mar the blue. I'm in Heaven! Good morning all. I have a choice between shopping and starving today, so I suppose shopping will win. Otherwise no particular plans apart from reading all the posts later. I did notice on my scroll through that you and OldD have made it home, Ash after an 'interesting' journey. Thinking of all who are poorly, or caring for those who are, and hoping the sun shines for you too. It does so lift the spirits. Love to all x

Blossoming Tue 19-Apr-22 11:16:06

Good morning Mick and everyone. Sunny intervals in my corner of Lancashire, currently 12°C.

My foot is almost back to normal this morning, will resume my physio exercises and cycling today, with caution. I must ring my GP and arrange blood tests and a prescription, but I don’t think I need to see a doctor for the moment.

We normally exchange Easter eggs on Sunday, but kept them until Monday as we were out all day. This beautiful box of dark chocolate-y deliciousness is from Kennedy’s in Orton. I didn’t pig out, I will have a small treat once a week as I don’t want to blow the diet! I checked the box carefully and there is no mention of calories, so I’m sure it will be fine grin

What an awful journey Ashcombe, glad you’re nearly home. I’m listening to ‘Dead in Devon’ and enjoying it very much.

I had a Saturday job in a dress shop Baubles and I used to love it when I was asked to change the mannequins!

Waving to FannyC ??.

flowers for Kitty, Chrissie, Grandmattie and families, hope today is kind to them.

Hope all our Covid warriors are not feeling too poorly and -ve tests are not too far off.

Thinking of all our grans going through difficult times. Wishing everyone the best day possible ???

Litterpicker Tue 19-Apr-22 12:26:57

Too late for Good Morning so Good Afternoon all. I’m in sunny East Lothian where we have a little flat near our DD, DSiL & twin DGSs. I waved to you,*Mick*, on the way past Brackley, yesterday pm. I hope your nose soon heals up and your confidence in going out is restored.

We will be in charge of DGSs tomorrow so hope the good weather continues so that we can get out somewhere. They are nearly 14, so harder to please than when they were younger.

Glad to hear Marydoll is seeing off Covid. Thinking of ChrissieLou’s DD and Grandmattie’s DH and others with illness and ongoing treatments.

Glad to see the glorious blue sky in Angus, Taichinan

madeleine45 Tue 19-Apr-22 14:34:26

good to read all your posts. It has been a lovely sunny morning here and so the washer has been going and have just got the second lot out on the line to make the most of the sunshine. They are quoting rain for this afternoon, so am keeping a good eye out to make the most of the good weather , the washing always smells so much nicer when it has been outside and of course it costs only effort not cash which is all to the good at the moment. Back wasnt good so didnt go out yesterday or today but am slowly get a bit cleared up and some jobs sorted .Am going to look at the Messiah as we are singing in May in Ripon Cathedral to begin the Swaledale festival, and I want to check that I am singing the runs correctly, so go through slowly first and then can speed up when I am sure that they are correct. always cheering to do some singing. Hope you all have a good afternoon

LifeOfBriony Tue 19-Apr-22 14:39:43

Good afternoon everyone, I've had a busy (if frustrating) morning doing home admin on the PC. I had to try to get these various things done today as I will be back at work tomorrow. I'm dreading it.

I'm hoping to go to our local shops by bus shortly - I'm still unable to drive and it is too far to walk. It should work out if I time it correctly.

It's been good to read about what others are doing.
