And there speaks the voice of reason!!
The rest of us are possibly beyond hope....but happy. ?

I made some cookie dough last week, cut it into smaller portion to freeze so that I can cook just four at a time in my air fryer - can’t trust myself not to eat a full batch all in one go!

HowVeryDareYou Thu 21-Apr-22 14:14:51

actually, any cookies/cake/sweet stuff would suffice...........

HowVeryDareYou Thu 21-Apr-22 14:14:03

Ooh I now fancy some chocolate chip cookies.............

Grandmafrench Thu 21-Apr-22 14:03:58

Here you go, Ooopsa
Chocolate Chip cookies/14 large ones!

150g unsalted melted butter and
100g caster and 125g soft brown sugar. Mix together
Add one fridge cold egg and 1 egg yolk beaten together until light and creamy with 2tspns vanilla bean paste.

Then slowly add 300gms plain flour together with half tspn bicarb.
Finally add packet of chocolate chips (200g or to taste).

I put parchment on a baking tray and leave big spaces between cookies to allow for size and spread. I measure mine out with a level ice cream scoop (greedy!) onto tray, flattening blobs slightly, so sometimes need two trays or bake in 2 batches.

Fan assisted 150degs or normal oven 170degs for 15 or 17 mins - until edges start to toast. Let cool on tray and then leave on wire rack until completely cold.

Grandmafrench do you have one without Peanut butter?

I’m not a lover of Peanut Butter……

Luckygirl3 Wed 20-Apr-22 23:08:37

That sounds good - might give it a go!

Grandmafrench Wed 20-Apr-22 22:31:24

I'm right with you regarding sites and cookies. What a palaver!

Hope this recipe for Cookies - proper, squidgy, peanut butter ones improves the mood :

250g peanut butter - smooth or crunchy
200g soft brown sugar
1 medium egg

Beat well to combine. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls and then flatten slightly on a non-stick tin.
Bake at 180C for 12 - 15 mins.
Leave to cool for 5 mins and then put on wire rack until completely cold. Store in airtight tin
(Choc chip recipe available via a DM.) ?

I can't use the money saving expert site anymore.
The clicky thing to accept cookies is down below the bottom of my phone screen.

Callistemon21 Wed 20-Apr-22 22:26:02

1 Yes

2 It's supposed to speed things up

Teacheranne Wed 20-Apr-22 22:16:37

Quick question! If I delete all cookies, will I have to log in again to the various on line sites I use such as GN? Also does deleting cookies improve something on my iPad? I feel I ought to know such things but don’t.

Callistemon21 Wed 20-Apr-22 22:08:18

CanadianGran

hmmm, I thought you called them biscuits.grin

Biscuits are flat and crispy
Cookies are thicker

DillytheGardener Wed 20-Apr-22 21:32:09

I was hoping for cookie recipes too, pref salted caramel if there is such a recipe.

But seriously the internet cookies drive me nuts too

Luckygirl3 Wed 20-Apr-22 20:14:14

I would never delete a choc chip cookie. smile

Callistemon21 Wed 20-Apr-22 19:58:55

Yes, I was wondering too
Choc chip?
Oat?
Treacle?

It's irritating but you can delete them at the end of a session if you wish, *Luckygirl, by going into History

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 20-Apr-22 19:32:17

I don’t care about them. If it’s a site I want to visit it doesn’t bother me.

timetogo2016 Wed 20-Apr-22 18:54:33

Me too Oopsadaisy1.
Out come the Marylands then.
Yes, those cookies also drive me mad CurlyWhirly.

Blondiescot Wed 20-Apr-22 18:48:10

Oopsadaisy1

I thought you had a nice recipe……

I was hoping for the same...

Curlywhirly Wed 20-Apr-22 18:47:03

I couldn't agree more - drives me mad too; and like you, I refuse to use sites that make it difficult to decline unecessary cookies,.

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 20-Apr-22 18:38:20

Patience running out with cookies. You can no longer enter any site without having to make choices about this before you can actually get in.

I try not to use sites that make it hard to refuse them. I like the ones where you can just tick "Necessary cookies only" - I make a point of not buying from online shops that make you jump through endless cookie hoops before you can get in.

Am I just turning into a crabby old bat?
