Good morning from Malta where we expect another sunny day with a high of 25°C and a light breeze.

Went to Mass yesterday which was lovely as three Filipino children were making their first Holy Communion.

Did absolutely nothing for the rest of the day apart from watch tennis although I did sit outside for a very short time. Lovely to feel the sun on me but it was too hot 🥵

Today I am waiting to hear from the plumber who is supposed to be coming to fix my leaking loo. It only leaks when flushed so I am not using it, but it’s a nuisance when the boys are here as it’s the one they usually use.

Hope you have all had a good weekend. Here we go again, another week starting which will be over in a flash.

Hoping you all have the best day you can.☀️

Good morning from another dry day in Bristol.
It was rather odd yesterday, being rather overcast but quite warm in the late afternoon. I sat out in the semi shade with my upstairs neighbour chewing the fat.
The morning was sunny but took a while to warm up, it as quite cold in church.
I did nothing all day as I was still feeling out of sorts after my Covid jab. My arm is still sore, but the gout pills have sorted my foot out.
Quiet today, with the only decision being do I go to the OAP film this afternoon or not. It’s “Maria (Callas)”.
bellas, I hope your loo is fixed; when mine was leaking, it was 24/7, I had to tie the stopcock thingy with string and used a bucket of water from the kitchen to flush.
May you all have a good week. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 7° and very still. This spell of dry, sunny weather is heartening. Bellasnana, what a nuisance about the toilet!
Yesterday was a nice day. I met my friend and her daughter for breakfast and her daughter paid for us all. She's a really nice person. We chatted for a while then went our separate ways as I had cards to buy. Back home, I pottered about and achieved little. My neighbour came over, asking for the details of the wrought iron company I used, so I pulled out my paperwork file. Unfortunately I can't find it, which is very annoying. He may have retired as it was 7 years ago that I used him. I have a pile of papers to shred and more to go through too. Dgs1 enjoyed his football game in Edinburgh but wasn't signed up for Hearts. I don't think he was bothered.
Today is early childcare day. I'll head to dds in a while. Then it will be drop them off at school/nursery and I'll come home for a nap. I want to cook meatballs in tomato sauce for dinner, so I'll prep that too. Then I will do an hour in the school library and pick up the boys. I bought a handwriting practice book for dgs2 as he's expressed an interest in letters. I should get something for dgs1 too. He will be picked up by his dad for football and then dgs2 will be picked up by dd. Then I will collapse on the couch. Have a good day all.

Good morning from Sheffield

I have been awake since 3, marvellous

I have been seeing a few ants on my kitchen worktops but couldn’t work out where they were coming from so at 4 this morning when I decided that there was no more sleeping happening I made a cup of tea.
Ants were all over the sides so I got a torch and carefully followed the trail. Bingo!
They were coming in through a small join in the laminate flooring in the utility room
I couldn’t sleep after that. I will rise at a decent time and I will have to move everything out and spray the whole area with ant spray

We have had 2 Grandsons 6 and 9 for the weekend
It’s been great, they were very well behaved. We went to a local museum yesterday and then out for pizza. I must admit it was nice to see them leave though

I will go to prayer group this morning and then working this afternoon

Take care everyone flowers

Good morning from Torbay where the day is still making up its mind! The sky looks promising with brightness in the East.

Yesterday I went to the early service where we heard the devastating news that our previous priest, who retired two years ago at 60, has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer affecting his bones, pancreas and liver.

Thinking of all who are in pain of any kind. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun will desert us today for a couple of days it seems. Melanie I was also awake at three. I could have stuck my head out of the window and given you a shout!!

Yesterday was a bit of a non-starter. I got up early and dressed to go to the gym. Then my back went out and I could barely walk, but when this happens the only thing to do is to move. I strapped a heat pack on it and spent most of the morning in the kitchen cooking for my freezer. DD and SiL paid me an unexpected visit in the afternoon which was nice. By that time I was more mobile.

I have the chiropodist coming this morning, and then a visit to the chiropractor this afternoon.

I had a lovely little butterfly in my garden yesterday - a Northern speckled wood. Never seen one before, though I believe they are quite conmon.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from s somerset, sunny, still and warm today

Glorious again yesterday and I filled my day. Cycled to my allotment to water, only five cans needed as I only water essentials. I met a new plot holder, such a nice man, very chatty. Then I extended my ride to the first longer one this year, I surprised myself, could still do the up and down circuit

During the afternoon I set to and bottled home made fertiliser from comfrey, it is concentrated so I won`t need any more fertiliser this year. The storage container was manky so I cleaned all that. I bought it in 2010 and have never seen another one like it, sometimes you just have to buy a good idea or it disappears. It has a lid to tie a big mesh bag and a tap at the bottom with a lidded container under the stand

I bottled most and used the rest to dilute and water all my pots and most plants in my garden. That was enough exercise for the day. Needless to say I was a bit achy when I woke up today

A recovery day for me today and good food.

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear corner of Somerset. A decent, warm day forecast.

Spent the day clothes sorting yesterday. We now have three large bags waiting to go to charity shops. Mr C even agreed to part with things no longer worn, I was in shock!

Taking the car for a minor bodywork repair this morning. We’ll wander into town for a breakfast and then get a bus to somewhere - not sure which direction yet. We’re told we can retrieve the car tomorrow evening or maybe Wednesday. I’m assuming Wednesday.

Be careful with that back greyd

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good Morning all from a sunny-again central south coast.

DH is going to visit a company who buy silver, gold, coins, medals etc. today. They have booked a place in the local sports club and will be there from 10am to 3pm. He has a tin full of silver threepenny bits, inherited when we cleared his father's house in 1978 and which has been "under the bed" ever since.
He researched them and found that a lot of them are silver and have value. So has decided to go and see what they would offer. He's very canny so will not be conned!

I almost decided to take a box with WW1 medals and other memorabilia from my Father's cousin, who served and was captured on the Somme. His POW ID card is included. I was very fond of him - and he of me- so my Dad, who initially inherited the box, passed it on to me many years ago.

I could not bring myself to do it though and have now contacted his old regiment museum to see if they would like it. It just feels more fitting and respectful.

Kind thoughts of all with problems or struggles of any kind and hope your loo gets fixed Bella! sunshine

Good morning from Shropshire.A bright start with another warm and sunny day ahead.

I feel better today after a quiet day yesterday. The only drama was that my glucose monitor kept sounding alarms which meant I had to check my bloods with finger pricks which showed a totally different reading to the monitor.I phoned the helpline and was told to put a new one on and they will send me a replacement for the faulty one.DH worked in the garden all day.We have bought a few new things to make things easier so he was enjoying trying them out.

Today I have the podiatrist this morning then we are going out for lunch then to the garden centre for our free coffees before the end of the month.

Such sad news Ash💐

Thinking of all with worries and struggles and wishing everyone the best day ahead🦩🌷

Greyduster beautiful photo. Nature at its best.🦋

Good morning from a sunny hillside in south Glos, another lovely day ahead.
I’m off to Dyrham to see the tulips with a friend, we’ll have a good natter and coffee and cakes so what better way to start the week?
I had a quiet day yesterday, did lots of embroidery and loved watching the baby sparrows being fed by their parents. They were all lined up along my garden shed roof, very noisy but so sweet.
Hoping you have a lovely day too 🌹

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton, another fine day forecast.

Yesterday was just perfect for sitting in the park listening to the band, especially as it was DD's band! I had taken a picnic, and had a very pleasant time. A good selection of music was played to a large crowd. I don't know how the musicians managed to play for three hours with a very short break! A very "English" summers Sunday afternoon.

Yoga first thing this morning followed by coffee, then this afternoon a visit to a podiatrist to have my toenails properly cut, my first visit.

grandMattie I can recommend the Maria Callas film, saw it when it came.out last year; Angelina Jolie is very good in the title role.

Wishing all a pleasant Monday.

Good morning Mick and all from a cloudy Morecombe Bay where it promises to be a pleasant day weatherwise.
DH is off for a run this morning his first for many months so I suspect he will be laid up this afternoon! He says he will take Crazy dog for his walk when he gets back because I have got an osteopath appointment.
This afternoon the dog walker will take Crazy dog for a couple of hours so I can get on with some gardening without help from four little paws.
He always has a whale of a time playing with about 12 other dogs in an enclosed field. He comes back exhausted. For a fairly small dog he prefers playing with bigger dogs. In fact the bigger the better. He was once having a chase on the beach with a Rottweiler when DH got in their path, the Rottweiler ran into DH and sent him flying. He ended up spread eagled on the sand, absolutely unhurt but the owners of the Rottweiler were mortified!
Wishing everyone a good day. Take carethanks
