Heaven to be free of worries for my DC and their families.

And of course, wishing DH were next to me........

Todays heaven was a massage, facial, and then a meal on the sun terrace overlooking the Estuary with the tide in.

Holding my new born grandchild and looking at her tiny fingers. I am smitten.

Evening time in my dressing gown, feet up on the sofa and a good film on TV.

I would be on the sofa at home with my dogs, a G & T and a new book.

Lying in the sun on a sunlounger on a beach (or by a pool) somewhere in Italy, with a bottle of bubbly on ice, a bowl of olives and plate of crisps and a good book. Or, with the same refreshments sat outside in a pavement cafe (again in Italy) watching the world and his wife doing the passeggiata.

A day off work. A nice mug of tea and my favourite book heaven!

Pouring a glass of wine after dropping my two granddaughters home after a sleepover...heaven!

Sitting in a sunny beach hut in Southwold watching our five DGC playing on the beach - that was last week. Today, sowing seeds and potting up in my sunny greenhouse and hearing all the birds singing.

I am prediabetic and I love chocolate (keep some in bedside drawer). And chocolate ice cream. So difficult, but at least I can have a little, so you have my sympathy.
Auto immune thing sounds nasty.

Having my 3 daughters and my 8 grandchildren all together under the same roof in the same country. . (It’s been 5 years and I can’t see it happening again)
Otherwise, clean sheets every night & a cup of tea brought to me in the morning. (Thats not going to happen either ?)
One can but dream ?

A short break in Venice. Being whisked from the airport by speedboat and feeling the salty wind on my face.
Feeling excitement to see the famous Venice buildings, canals and bridges spread out in front of me.
Being serenaded by a Gondolier as I sit back and take a ride under the warm Italian sun.

Ooh have done that.
Even the speedboat bit!

Mine would be relaxing in a hammock on a secluded beach somewhere.

Sitting round a table with all my family - all 9 of us - having a lovely meal I haven't cooked - laughing and joking and just having fun!!

Sitting in the summerhouse , watching the sea, listening to classic fm and reading a good book. Little pooch at my feet dreaming of chasing rabbits.

Having our DD2 and SiL arriving from Australia for a long holiday to join the rest of our family just sitting in the garden, relaxed and all enjoying being together again.

If only it were in my power Lucca you would be my priority. x
