Good morning all and it feels chilly. That wind yesterday morning was icy when I took little pooch out.

We enjoyed our lunch with friends yesterday , sitting around the log fire in our usual country pub. The last week has been so warm and now we are back to winter woollies and log fires. ?.

We had a lovely walk around Hanningfield reservoir to see the masses of bluebells. It’s a really good year for them. We saw tiny ducklings and fluffy green goslings. Nature at its best at this time of year! Glorious!

DD had some good news on the phone saying her two of the biopsies on her foot were clear. One was another mole, and the other was scar tissue . They will keep an eye on the other one.
She is still to have a biopsy on her groin but the appointment for Monday has been cancelled. She had no ill effects from the immunotherapy infusion and actually walked 7 miles yesterday. Can’t keep the girl down ?!

Sar and GG - where does the time go! Our coffee catch-up will have to wait ! ?.

Wishing you all a pleasant day. ???

A grey and breezy morning in Oxfordshire. Yesterday was distinctly chilly with a cold wind. We are having a lie in with a coffee after a busy week. After breakfast, more potting on planned as we have so many seedlings in the greenhouse. Tomato plants are looking strong and healthy too.
I hope you all have a lovely day and you find some sunshine wherever you are.

Good morning from a dull East Yorkshire. Happy St George’s Day English Grans.

Had a really lovely day in Bridlington yesterday. Started with coffee in the cafe at the Brid spa overlooking the sea. The tide was right in and we had a seat in the window which is floor to ceiling. With the waves going in and out it makes me feel a bit quesy (sp?) looking out to sea!
Fish and chips for lunch were delicious. We are so lucky to be able to go there for a few hours and be home in time for tea.

Today no plans yet. The family are back from holiday so we may see them. Tonight I have another dance show to go to starring one of the dancers from Strictly. Two in one week!

Safe travels Urms
Great to hear you had a good day GM and hope you get that call soon ?

Take care everyone.

Good news for your daughter Gingster and love the bluebells

Good morning. Not sure what the weather in N. Bucks is going to do today.
DH has to make a 50 mile round trip to pick up a part for our caravan. Then a food shop.
I have various projects to sort out and other jobs piling up so some lists need writing.
Lovely to hear about all the visits and holidays. Thoughts with those who have worries .

Good morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire and a happy St George’s Day to all the English gransnetters.

Safe journey Urmston, you too Gwen enjoy your holidays.

Marydoll, hopefully the nausea won’t last too much longer.

I had a lovely relaxing day yesterday, got lots of admin done then tried on three dresses I’d ordered for an upcoming wedding and decided which one I would keep. This was actually the second batch, the others all went back!

DH wanted to go and look at plants even though it’s too early so we drove to a nursery near where we used to live, the owner, who is our age, was relaxing on a chair in one of his glasshouses and was delighted to see us as we’ve been buying from him for many years. We bought nothing (he wouldn’t sell anything yet) but had a great chat and will go back in a couple of weeks.

Housework today as it’s been rather neglected and a curry this evening.

Lots of busyness today by the sound of it, have the best day possible everyone.

Those Bluebells are glorious Ginster the ones in our garden are barely in bud.
You have such pretty feet Urmstongran
Enjoy your reunion with your GC Granmadinosaur and your show tonight.

So pleased for your DD Gingster ?

Good morning everyone from a sunny south coast.

I need to stop my outside tap from leaking just above the hose connection so hopefully some self adhesive stretchy tape that I’ve successfully used before will do the trick for now. It needs a new fitting but I don’t have a strong enough grip to unscrew the old one which has rusted. I can’t ask DSiL as they’re up to their necks unpacking!

Tomorrow morning I’ll go round and cook Sunday lunch for everyone. Taking a large apple crumble with me which I will bake this afternoon.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and trouble free weekend.

We go away next Saturday so coffee will have to wait til we get back in June. Looking forward to catching up with you and GG xx

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning from a cloudy South Yorkshire. We returned from Cyprus very early Thursday morning and it's taken me a couple of days to recover ha ha. However did manage to set some seeds yesterday and walk down to our local nature reserve to see the blue bells and wild garlic. Makes me so happy ?
Today I shall venture into town I think and can put off food shopping no longer so will call at the supermarket.
Love to all and have a good day xx

EkwaNimitee Sat 23-Apr-22 09:17:10

Good morning Mick and everyone from an intermittently sunny Carlisle where showers threaten. I actually hope we get one or two as it will save me going out with the hose.
I saw the nurse practitioner at the surgery yesterday re my prolapse. Now I am on a regime of pelvic floor exercises for a couple of months to hopefully tighten up my flabby interior. Then we will re-assess. I've always tried to keep myself fit and toned but never thought of that area!
Envious of your toes Urmston. They are straight! Mine are bent disgraces that do not need drawing attention to with nail polish. Happy holidays to you. It's time I thought of a return to my favourite country.
I shall be gently pottering through the day doing light jobs and finishing off some boring admin. I'm also planning to brush up my Spanish which has got rusty from disuse now I'm not spending winters in Spain.
Have a pleasant weekend everyone and wishing better times for all the poorly.

harrigran Sat 23-Apr-22 09:25:17

Good morning from the NE where it was sunny an hour ago but no longer. Yesterday was bright with quite a wind chill.
I put my new yard broom to good use and swept the front lawns, got rid of the sycamore seeds which would germinate if left.
Family will visit this afternoon.
grandMattie, know what it feels to be waiting for phone calls or visits from medial staff, the number of no shows was unbelievable. One nurse visited and said as she left " see you next week ", it was four months before they turned up again.

Jaxjacky Sat 23-Apr-22 09:33:00

Brilliant news for your daughter Gingster
Snap Urmstongran although yours will see far more sun that mine yet.

gillgran Sat 23-Apr-22 09:45:17

Good Morning from N.Cambs., where the sun is trying to shine.
Happy St.,Georges Day, our flag is up & fluttering in the keen breeze.

I'm pleased you've enjoyed our great county, cornergran, (also my beloved neighbouring Norfolk).

Safe travels & happy holidays to several of our friends on here.

It's good that you are feeling up to getting back to your normal routine, Mick, take care, "one step at a time".

Great for you to have had your family visiting, grandMattie, don't worry about that piercing, one in ear doesn't sound too bad, thank goodness it's not nose or eye-brow. (having said that, I'm not a fan of piercings & tattoos).
Whoops!! I've had my ears pierced for 60 years! since I was 16. blush

Warm thoughts for you all, especially those with extra worries.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 12°C. it’s very windy and noisy and I am still in bed after a disturbed night.

No real plans for today. I’m feeling listless and sleepy so will take it as a comes. I’m also feeling nauseous Marydoll, you have my sympathy. I’m hoping it’s down to the change in my meds and will wear off soon

Happy St. George’s Day ❤️????????, I hope it stays fine for all planning a picnic or walk and safe journey to all travelling.

Thinking of all our grans going through difficult times. Wishing everyone the best day possible ???

Pittcity Sat 23-Apr-22 09:59:25

A late good morning from sunny Colchester. I had a lie in after a late night and a few drinks.
I am now preparing for the arrival of DGSs for a overnight stay so that their parents can go out.
Love to all ???????? x

Good morning Mick and all and a happy St. George’s Day from a bright northwest coast.
Glad to be home all day after a busy day singing etc yesterday including a long walk. I’m going to take more exercise after a winter slump. The pigeons are mating outside this window…
I need to contact my tv man as can’t record anything and miss it.
Thoughts to grandMattie and anyone with worries.
Painted this yesterday:
