Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s a gorgeous start to the day. Having said that I don’t much care as “orft we jolly well go” later ✈️

I need to sort my handbag is all with makeup in a clear zip bag, Kindle, passports etc. I have a mini list so I can’t forget anything and then I’m good to go.

Himself has offered to drive my stepfather to some far flung health centre in Old Trafford this morning, where he’s been offered his 4th booster jag. My stepfather asked whether there was anything nearer home but ‘no can do’ was the answer. At least the appointment is 11am so there’s enough time for Himself to get home for our booked taxi to the airport!
?

Enjoy Saturday all who can. grandMattie I’d ring the consultant’s secretary on Monday afternoon if you haven’t heard anything, it’s what she’s there for. x

Good morning from a cloudy S Hants, Happy St George’s Day.
How very annoying waiting for that call grandMattie hopefully today.
Safe and speedy journey to Malaga Urmstongran hopefully it’s warmed up there.
Saturday is newspaper day, greenhouse faffing and a walk.
Thoughts with those poorly.
Enjoy your Saturday ??

Good Morning everyone from a grey cloud filled sky here on the south coast. 10.6c and still breezy.

Had a good day yesterday doing pottering jobs including admin and also planted up a giant pot with nasturtium seeds for some easy colour. The tulips in the other pots are still going on and will be transferred to the front garden in due course and I plan to replace them in the pots with red pelargoniums.

DS turned up for food as planned, after his motorbike training day and it was so good to have time with him and hear all his news. He gives the best hugs!

We are off to get the click and collect shortly and DH is out with his bike club again this morning leading a ride into the South Downs. I shall indulge myself with the Saturday paper, croissant and coffee.

Safe travels Urms and anyone else on the move today. Hope the holiday home is in good shape Ash! Continued good wishes to all caring for unwell loved ones, especially GM flowers

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright corner of Cambridge

Trundling home today after a few days here. A little holiday and an essential trip into Norfolk to spend a day with my friend of almost 70 years and her daughter who is our goddaughter. Been very lucky with the weather, warm sunshine until yesterday when a cold wind got us back into coats. We’ll be sad to leave for several reasons, we lived in East Anglia in the early days of our marriage and it holds a little piece of our hearts.

I’ll catch up properly with everyone once we’re back home, not looking forward to the journey but it will pass.

Take care everyone. Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Ash, certainly more interesting than “a dull”…

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is promised to be a dry day.
Up early as I am off on one of my litter picks. I am getting funded to set up a proper group to clear the river banks on a regular basis?
Your day sounds rather exciting Mick a beer would go down well today I think I may copy you!!
Tomorrow I am cycling to DD to pick up the children in my cycle trailer and take them in an adventure, I will then cycle home. Let’s hope it stays dry?
Have a good day folks and here’s hoping that phone call happens today Grandmattie ❤️❤️

Good morning from an overcast Torbay. An adult E. Kent sounds like a lot more fun, grandMattie! We share your DH’s opinion of piercings and tattoos, particularly the latter on young women.

Today, we hope to make our first visit of the year to Whiddon Down to open up my holiday home. Other commitments prevent us staying overnight unfortunately but at least we can give it an airing. It’s only 35 miles on good roads: A380, A38 and A30, although I’m aware that this is the end of the Easter holiday in some areas.

Wishing you all something to lift your spirits this weekend, especially those with worries about the health of loved ones. ??????

Good morning and happy St. George’s day from adult E Kent, with a chilly breeze blowing. It is very often breezy in this corner of the country.
We waved goodbye to the family at lunchtime yesterday. Sad, but we had a lovely time with them, and DD is coming again after May bank holiday.
We still haven’t had that phone call from the palliative care consultant. It’s rather annoying, hanging around waiting for it. This has been going on since Tuesday.
DGS announced himself to visit and dine yesterday afternoon. He horrified his granddad by having his ear pierced. DH hates piercings marginally less than tattoos! ?
Nothing planned for today. A friend is probably coming round to see me, which will be nice.
Bon voyage Urms, I’m rather jealous…
May today be gentle to you, especially Marydoll and the poorly. Carpe diem/horam ?????????
