Good morning Mick and all who follow. It’s cool and cloudy in South Lanarkshire.

Work today but thankfully I’m back to my normal two days.

I hope everyone has as good a day as possible.

Pantglas2 Mon 25-Apr-22 06:06:22

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a dry and lovely north Wales where I’m enjoying filling the chamberpot ....? and the emptying- ha ha!

Great to read about Gingster DD and hope more good tidings are coming for all those with family health worries ? as well as their own x

I’m trotting off to Llandudno this morning for coffee and scoffee ? with a famous (on this thread) person ....?️‍♀️ Watch this space....

Will pop back later and read about your doings but just wondering where our recent newbies are? I recall one, Nettie? was in West Wales and there were others....please post so that we get to know you better ?

Good morning from an overcast E Kent. It will probably clear later and be very sunny, though not especially warm. We so need rain; it hasn’t rained properly for weeks and weeks.
DH had a surprisingly good day, after the dreadful night. He spent most of it watching the women’s rugby which he loves. He also enjoyed the roast “chicken”. I had thawed out half a bird thinking it was chicken. It was duck!
I’ve got a new cleaner starting today. Don’t know what she’s like, but she was recommended by a friend, also a cleaner.
May today be kind to you all especially those in sick bay. Carpe diem/horam (thank you, Marydoll). ???☀️??

BlueBalou Mon 25-Apr-22 06:15:40

Good morning everyone, it’s a dull-skied start here today.
I am hoping for a really quiet, uneventful week (hope that isn’t tempting fate ??) as my battery’s are pretty flat, I didn’t realise how much Covid drains you!
A bit of tidying, pottering in the garden and then getting on with crocheting my blanket whilst I listen to an audiobook I think.
DDog is recovering nicely so we will have the prescribed 5-10 minutes walk twice today ?. She’ll be climbing the walls by day 14, she’s used to more like 2-3 hours walk!
I hope you all have a good day x

Jaxjacky Mon 25-Apr-22 06:26:40

Morning all from S Hants where the sun is climbing. Pleased you’re getting there Mick.
You must be relieved Baubles hard work holding the fort.
We desperately need rain grandMattie, great your DH had a good day, surprise freezer dip, we’ve had those!
Enjoy your coffee Pantglas with the mystery person.
Housework yawn, admin and watering here.
Enjoy your day all ??

Beechnut Mon 25-Apr-22 06:26:58

Good Morning everyone from a bright ish Severnside. Looks like it’ll be another nice day. I don’t want any rain yet Mattie. When my work is finished I won’t mind.

A successful visit to the garden centre yesterday. I went for something and came back with a plant I’ve been keeping my eye out for. Planted it and also a few greenhouse plants.

Bed changing, washing and setting up my new phone today.

Have a good day all especially those with worries going on in your lives ??

Ashcombe Mon 25-Apr-22 06:32:14

Good morning all on a fine day in Torbay.

I’m glad you’re feeling better, Mick.

We had good journeys to and from Taunton yesterday and DH enjoyed reconnecting with acquaintances from the world of railway modelling, mostly known via an online forum.

Later, a good attendance at the read through of ‘Allo, ‘Allo was heartening, especially as it included several new members, one of whom is a newcomer to the amdram world and Italian so a perfect choice for the role of Bertorelli! Our theatre was a buzz with three other groups in the building for auditions, a production meeting and a costume call. A joy to witness after so many months in darkness.

Another early start as I have a hospital appointment with the cardiologist, a novelty to see a medical professional face to face! This is my annual check up for which I was given an echogram in February.

I hope everyone has a good week, especially Mr.grandMattie.??????

Good morning Mick from a dull and chilly Oxfordshire, let’s hope the sun comes out, but we desperately need some rain for the garden.
Cleaning starts today, I seem to have recovered from my Covid effects, so this week it’s time to start some Spring Cleaning. Let’s hope I can finish it before I run out of oomph.
Hope everyone has a good day today

grandMattie Mon 25-Apr-22 06:42:00

I feel we ought to have Camelot weather - sun all day, rain at night…

cornergran Mon 25-Apr-22 06:43:55

Morning Mick, morning All. Bright if cloudy start to our corner of Somerset

Mr C has a much wanted hearing test today , I need to get my reading glasses adjusted. Clothes sorting and admin later.

Good wishes to everyone. Hope Monday is kind to us all.

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 25-Apr-22 06:46:11

Absolutely right GM that would be ideal.

July and August shall not be to hot, in Camelot…..

And no wind. Ever.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 25-Apr-22 07:12:38

Morning Mick and all

I have the dreaded dentist this afternoon, only a routine check up but I have a real fear of dentists (my lovely one is so patient and gentle, but I am still a scaredy-cat)

To take my mind off of the appointment I am driving up to Lakeside for a mooch this morning. It will be nice to wander without DH asking where are you going now

Sending (((hugs))) to all in need

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

dragonfly46 Mon 25-Apr-22 07:14:11

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Popping into town to pick up an order while my cleaners work their magic.
Managed to get the robot mower working yesterday.

Good to hear you are feeling better Mick And your DH had a good day GM.

Gagagran Mon 25-Apr-22 07:19:16

Good Morning everyone from a bright and sunny south coast (7.6c). Thankfully the strong wind of recent days has eased but it is still feeling fresh. I find strong winds really unsettling.

On the agenda today is bed changing and laundry and then I really must sort out my wardrobes and have a clear out. I keep meaning to do it but never seem to get started. Will today be the day? I need to water my pots too which seems crazy in April when we usually get plenty of showers.

Hope the day is a good one for us all especially those caring for poorly loved ones or with their own health issues or worries. sunshine

Chrissielou Mon 25-Apr-22 07:28:20

A grey chilly start here in Oxfordshire. At times yesterday it was really warm, but a different day when the sun went in. We did lots if gardening yesterday, potting on seedlings and the greenhouse is full of healthy little plants we've grown from seed.
Work again, Monday soon comes around.
I hope you all find some sunshine and laughter today.

brook2704 Mon 25-Apr-22 07:28:49

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cool, damp and grey, I’m hoping it brightens up later. Good to hear you’re feeling better mick

This morning I’m off to the gym for an aerobics class and then maybe a splash in the pool later

Hope all goes well with your hospital appointment Ash and enjoy your meet up in Llandudno Pantglas

Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Grandmadinosaur Mon 25-Apr-22 07:32:02

Good morning all from East Yorkshire where it is a sunny start.

Yesterday we caught up with a few jobs, went for coffee on the marina and the family came round in the afternoon.

Today I will put away the Easter decorations, tidy round and I have a hair appt this afternoon. DH is away overnight at a trade exhibition thing in Manchester so tonight I will catch up with programmes on TV I like and he doesn’t!

Enjoy your meet up pantglas and could it be Gwen I love Llandudno. We watched a series on TV about the pier there recently. It was tucked away at a silly time on Sunday mornings so we watched it on catch up. Worth a watch if anyone interested. It was on ITV called The Pier.

Glad it was a better day GM
Hope you are feeling better Marydoll

That was some cleaning you had to do there Urms I bet you didn’t envisage having to do that on your jollies!

I hope you enjoyed your show Susan

Hope your appointment goes well Ash

Take care everyone.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton, but sunny spells are forecast. Have got the bedding in the washing machine; I felt really hot during the night, so have decided it's time to change to the lighter summer duvet.

Really enjoyed the film yesterday (Operation Mincemeat); when I booked a few days ago the cinema was practically empty, but turned out to be almost full for yesterday's performance. I enjoyed my large glass of rose and popcorn!

Shall put fresh bedding on and change the duvet later this morning, then this afternoon continue with weeding, and perhaps plant the new rose that DD bought for me to mark our 'would have been' Golden Wedding. Garden needs watering too. Then make a chicken soup using the leftovers from Saturday's roast chicken. Chicken sandwich for lunch today as well.

Let's hope that Monday is the start of a good week for all.

Gingster Mon 25-Apr-22 07:34:55

Good morning all and the weather is a bit unsure here in Essex.

Today I have my Chimes group which will be fun. Dh announced last night that he was going fishing, we only have one car so we both can’t go out! ?. I can’t let the Chimes leader down as she spends ages sorting out the music and needs to know who will definitely be there! Dh not happy but being awkward me thinks ??. Now I feel bad! ?.
I will endeavour (AGAIN) to get him to make a doctors appointment. He refuses! His leg muscles are getting weaker and I’m convinced it’s the statins he’s on!

GG - another scaredy-cat here! ?.

Pants - Thankyou for your kind wishes re DD.?.

Have a good day, all , whatever it brings! ???

Marydoll Mon 25-Apr-22 07:37:32

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it's currently 7°C. DH is golfing, so I have an emptie. As Covid warriors, we have been stuck with only each other, over the last three weeks, so I will be gleefully waving him off at the door!

Yesterday, I had a text from Track and Trace, advising me that I had been a close contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid and I needed an urgent PCR test.
Of course I had been stuck at home in the last ten days, with Covid and knew immediately it had to be a scam, especially as you can't have a PCR, if you have had Covid within a certain number of days and I already had a fast track number for that, just in case. On checking, I discovered, it was indeed a scam, so beware folks. How many would be taken in by this , it's disgusting.

A quiet day ahead, the anti virals and Covid are still affecting me, but thankfully not as severely. Balou, Oops and the other Covid patients, you have my sympathy.
I managed a little pottering in the garden, with DD and SIL popping in. I thought they had come to check up on me, but when I later went into the garage, I found two bikes, which had not been there before their visit. ? Our loft and garage are packed to the gunnells, with their stuff, prior to them moving in with us! ?

This thread is becoming more like the old days, with so much going on, the mood also seems lighter. Best wishes to all who are unwell or with appointments today, hospital or otherwise. Ash, I hope you remember to ask your cardiologist, about the reaction to your spray, just to be on the safe side. You are lucky to be seeing a consultant face to face. My urgent RA appointment for 4th June has just been cancelled and my new one is in September! ?
GM and those who are struggling just now, ?,
Have a good day, everyone.

Grandmabatty Mon 25-Apr-22 07:41:07

Good morning all from Polmont where it's 7° and grey. The warmth isn't here til later on this week. Ashcombe I hope your appointment goes well. Mick good to hear that you are feeling more confident.
Yesterday was a day of two halves. The morning was busy with a trip to Aldi, weeding the garden and making celery soup. The afternoon didn't go so well. My oven has stopped working so that'll mean a new one I expect. And I dropped chilli tacos all over the living room rug, footstool and me. There's still a stain on the rug this morning, despite furious cleaning with vanish. I'm very annoyed at myself.
Today I'm heading to dds to wait for a repair man while she takes dgs1 to nursery. I have a chicken to cook so it'll be the slow cooker for that. Hopefully that'll work. Have a good day all.

ginny Mon 25-Apr-22 07:56:44

Good morning.
I’ve just waved DH off to golf and have put a wash load on and hope to get it on the line before I leave for my appointment in town to get my eyes tested. 3 years since my last test and I ‘m pretty sure I’ll need a new glasses.

I have a few other things to do in town so will probably have a light lunch and
maybe a detour on the way home to a garden centre.

Wishing all a good day especially those feeling under par for any reason.

Susan56 Mon 25-Apr-22 08:04:16

Grammaretto Mon 25-Apr-22 08:05:46

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it is wet and chilly,
Managed to have a bonfire yesterday but had to stop when we discovered a blackbird was nesting in the woodpile. Luckily the fire wasn't the woodpile but I doubt she will return.
The new stair carpet is to be laid this morning. It's also my Helper's last day but I haven't anything planned, maybe some more cleaning.
I'm glad you are feeling better Mick
What an odd scam call Marydoll.
I had one from Amazon warning me that I have lost a lot of money.

Have a good day everybody.
