Good morning Mick, it’s grey skies here too.
Off to the dentist this morning then dropping a few bits off to friends in the village on my way back.
I might get some panini from the village cafe for lunch while I’m there.
Take care everyone x

Morning all from a damp looking West Oxfordshire. I had a lovely day yesterday and thank you for the birthday wishes. Today I will be mainly preparing a talk for tomorrow’s Book Group - we are looking at books published in the year of our birth. I will concentrate on Childhoods End by Arthur C Clarke and The Go Between by L P Hartley. I also have to think about a couple of verses in the Book of Revelation for my Home Group on Zoom tomorrow. What they mean and how they relate to today.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Cloudy with blue patches.

I’m cleaning a window and putting up my summer curtains and mending one of my skirts. They’ve been rather skimpy with the amount of fabric for the lining so I’m putting in some an extra piece.

I will also have a chat with Beechnutella about holiday times.

Stay safe all whether out on travels or mooching around ??

Good morning, all, on a chilly looking morning here in Torbay, due to a NE wind.

DH arrived home safely in France last night after a good journey where all the connections worked. A busy day yesterday with a trip to Boots, where I used a voucher from The i Weekend to good effect!

Later, I was reunited with the Props team at The Little Theatre where we tidied some larger items, stored in containers outside, and made decisions about their future.

I am heartened by the influx of new members to our theatre company since the pandemic, some of whom aren’t wanting to act but offer time as volunteers in various capacities. People seem glad to have the chance to make good use of their time after the months of lockdowns, etc.

Belated birthday greetings to Ladyleftfieldover! Revelation may well have relevance to our troubled world today!
I hope everyone is as well as possible today. ??????

Morning Mick and all

It’s grey here in S E Essex. The 7 ur old GC stayed over last night as he had to be a school by 8am and we live very close to it.

Off to the gym later than a manicure and pedicure, whilst the cleaning fairies work their magic. Once home it will be washing (loads a plenty).

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning Mick from a dull Oxfordshire.

Kitchen clean up went well yesterday, just the drawers and the under sink cupboard to do today so much stuff crammed in there it’s scary, also as I had my head in a cupboard I craned my neck and read the water meter, as it’s been estimated for over a year I thought I’d take the opportunity whilst the cupboard was empty.

Anyway it’s made me realise that keeping glasses and crockery on the top shelves because they never get used is a bit pointless, time for a clear out I think, anyway for now they are all clean and put back where I found them. That’s a job for another day or even another year!
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible, hugs for those who aren’t so chipper.

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, cloudy corner of Somerset

Successful in the GP phone lottery antibiotics prescribed yesterday morning were delivered by our fabulous pharmacy yesterday afternoon. It’s a medical week for sure, emergency dental appointment for me this morning thanks to a very kind and helpful receptionist. I’m falling to pieces. Otherwise a usual Wednesday. Dust removal to be achieved and a grocery order delivery which will arrive while I’m seeking dental advice. Mr C will take custody and I’m hoping not put most of it away or I’ll never find it again.

Enjoy the day all who can. Special thoughts to anyone finding life difficult. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 3° and feels cold. Grey skies above.
Yesterday was very nice. All my social events came at once! Lunch with friends was pleasant and we had a good blether. Then at night I met with other friends to see Hello Dolly. It was really well done. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and found I was tearful at the end. Too much emotion.
Today I have a haircut appointment, then a visit to mum. After that, art class. So another busy day. Chicken curry for tea. Have a good day all.

grandMattie Wed 27-Apr-22 07:26:29

Very late good morning from E Kent. Overcast for the moment, hoping for some sun as I’ve got the washing to put on the line when I can summon the energy.
Poor DH has a dreadful night of pain, I got up early Togo to the supermarket while I hope he is asleep.
The biopsy was as painful and unpleasant as anticipated, but a good, kind appointment with the GP. It is the first time he’s been seen since he was diagnosed.
Have a good day, Carpe diem. ?????

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 27-Apr-22 07:26:42

Good morning all from sunny Llandudno
Yesterday my sisters and BILarrived, today we will take flowers up to our parents grave which is up on the Gt Orme. We will probably go to Conwy for a mooch about after.
Have the best day possible folks!

Good morning all from a cloudy East Neuk, where its 6°C.

We are happily settled in our usual cottage, right on the shore. It's over forty years since we started coming here, Cellardyke is such a quaint fishing village, we love it here.
When we came last year in August, it was so busy with tourists, but its very quiet this time, which suits us very well.

Despite coming here for so long, DH took yet another circuitous, scenic route, up hill and down dale. Well not quite, as its very flat here. I thought we would never get here!
DD was tracking our journey and was become more perplexed by the minute, at the length of time it was taking us. This wasn't helped either, by DH still trying to get used to his new car!

We decided to pull into a farm shop ( oh great joy), as DH was desperate for the loo, ( another worry for me, but he won't see the doctor) and he was in such a hurry to lock the car, that I caught my leg on the door rushing to get out, which resulted in a gash on my leg! It didn't help that I am on blood thinners!
I always carry my full hospital kit, ?, when we go away, but it was under all the bags. I ended up stuffing tissues up my trouser leg. Where was Mr MD? Who knows? He could have given Roadrunner, a run for his money!

We are off to Pittenweem today for lunch, the plan was for me to attempt to walk the two mile coastal path, but my bout of Covid has caused an RA flare up and I still feel ropey, so it will be the bus for DH and I, while DD and SIL walk.

I wish you all a pleasant and peaceful day, which is our plan, I will wait and see. DD has just brought me a cuppa in bed, I could get used to this pampering. A special thought for all the mums on here, who are worrying about their children.
Best wishes in advance for anyone, who has a birthday today.
It has just dawned on me that it is DIL's on Monday and DD's on Wednesday, I have totally lost all sense of time, I need to get cracking!!

brook2704 Wed 27-Apr-22 07:29:47

Good morning everyone from Inverness where the sun has eventually decided to show up but it’s frosty on the ground - it’s a good job we’ve not planted anything out yet
This morning I’m on the flight down to Luton to spend a few days at DD1 and to see my two gorgeous DGSs - 5 and 7. I’m looking forward to it as always. DH is staying here as he still has his little part time job and I’m sure he’s also looking forward to his empty too!
Sorry to hear your DH is struggling so much GM hoping things get a bit easier soon and look after yourself
So good that your theatre is going from strength to strength Ash with lots of new faces
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Grandmadinosaur Wed 27-Apr-22 07:31:20

Good morning all from East Yorkshire where it is also grey skies and 6 degrees.

I had a nice catch up with my coffee morning ladies yesterday. Then GS and I made banana cake after school. It turned out well in my unpredictable oven! When DIL came for her and GS to have a shower it was slight chaos as he preferred to run off and play in the bedroom, I was minding baby and trying to put something in the oven for my DH’s tea as he was due home from Manchester ? still it was all good fun. I managed to get a photo of baby. She is now 5 months and coming among really well after her early arrival and worries.

I’m going for a pedicure today then a free day.

Take care everyone.

Pittcity Wed 27-Apr-22 07:35:06

Good morning from a grey, chilly Colchester. The heating has kicked on for the first time in ages even though it's set low. Back into jeans and jumper today for our Wednesday morning coffee meetup.
A bit of shopping and then packing (and writing instructions for DH on how the house works!!) for my trip to Lisbon tomorrow where sun is forecast.
Love to all ? x

ShazzaKanazza Wed 27-Apr-22 07:37:37

Good Morning Mick and everyone. It’s a chilly dull morning in Hull but we have some sunshine later.
Not a lot on today other than a gym session. I go at the same time as DH. He chats and I work hard.
Later we are picking DGS up from school. He’ll have his tea and DS will pick him up on the way home from work.
DD popped in GD1 yesterday so she could show us her newly won swimming badges for putting her head under water. She said ‘so can I have a sweetie Grandma’ she’s just so cute.

Enjoy all your wonderful sounding activities. Hoping all medical appointments go well and people with covid feel better soon.
Take care everyone and hope Wednesday brings a moment of joy??

ginny Wed 27-Apr-22 07:43:18

Good morning everyone. Looking a bit dull outside in M. Bucks.
I’ve got little Grandson again this morning. I think we’ll walk down to the shops and have a coffee, will probably meet a friend down there. Then a trip to the local park, he does love a swing.
This afternoon it’s craft club, hope they like the birthday cards we are going to make.
WI committee meeting this evening. I don’t mind them, they rarely last longer than an hour.
Thinking of all with worries and hoping you all find a smile in your day.

dragonfly46 Wed 27-Apr-22 07:43:43

Good morning from Staffordshire. We had a good journey over here today, very little traffic. We leave at the same time every week but it can take 15 minutes longer if the traffic is heavy.

We are taking DGS to the park at lunchtime to meet a little girl who will be starting at his nursery next week. There will be other classmates and parents too so at least B will recognise them as we will have no clue?‍♀️

Good morning from an overcast NE where it is 7 degrees and forecast is for a maximum of 8.
DD is safely home in Brussels but mice have done their worst, she needs to get the cat back from the neighbour pronto.
SIL plans to visit today depending on how well he feels this morning, he is still on light duties and will be doing admin.
Have a good day all.
