Unbelievable!

Joane123 Thu 05-May-22 18:03:05

Disgraceful!

She'll probably be given a new identity.

MissAdventure Thu 05-May-22 18:32:11

She always expected to be out pretty soon.
I read that she communicated as much to a friend of hers.
Says a lot about our justice system.

Mine Thu 05-May-22 18:43:25

I'm totally shocked by the news that Baby Ps mum to be released...She deserves to rot...How could anyone be her friend after what she done

This has been looked at again and the decision has been upheld.
The probation officers and prison officials support the plan.

Obviously it brings a lot back - those of us who were/are involved in child protection will remember this. Sadly we should have learned more lessons from the case.
However, we cannot just "let people rot".

Regarding the public and other children in particular, the multi-agency public protection board in the area she is being released will be fully informed of the details and will be working together on this issue.
We only know what the papers are printing about this - not the whole story.

Good post NotSpaghetti.

HowVeryDareYou Thu 05-May-22 19:57:47

Disgusting. I truly hope someone gets her and finishes her off, but I expect she'll be given a new identity, somewhere to live, financial benefits, some type of protection, and she'll carry on with her life.

Robin49 Thu 05-May-22 19:58:54

Absolutely disgusting.

AmberSpyglass Thu 05-May-22 20:02:06

HowVeryDareYou you just hoped for murder. How vile.

Luckygirl3 Thu 05-May-22 20:05:37

Unfortunately the services that are intended to reduce the risks that she might present are underfunded and deeply flawed. That is clear from the fact that she was known to all the services over a period of time but still this tragedy played out.

I think it is more than likely that a pregnancy will be on the cards before long.

maddyone Thu 05-May-22 20:15:57

Any baby born to her should be on the At Risk register before birth and removed at birth.

volver Thu 05-May-22 20:25:17

Let's just have a quick overview before I leave...

13 years counts as "soon", she deserves to rot, some people hope she is murdered, she'll probably be pregnant soon and they should take any (hypothetical) babies away from her...

Its like the Handmaids Tale. angry

Volver you are so right.

Any baby born to her will be on the at risk register, that’s how it works and it’s how we try to protect children in the UK. Surely you don’t actually think she’s a fit parent do you? The safeguarding of children is enforced by law. Yes, it is highly likely that any child she may have in the future will be removed from her.
And I don’t have a problem with that, in particular as the grandparent of an adopted child, who was seriously neglected by his natural mother, but thank God, he wasn’t killed. He is now leading the life he deserves with loving parents.

All if those things sound pretty reasonable for someone involved in the torture and death of their own child to me.
Nothing at all like a fictional TV programme, sadly for Peter.

Reasonable?

Sorry, I didn't realise we'd moved back to medieval times.

Or the Tories.

As you have said elsewhere, I'm entitled to my opinion, and you yours.
The torture that little soul gas inflicted on him could have come straight from medieval times.

volver Thu 05-May-22 20:41:18

No actually, not medieval. Biblical.

That's where the "eye for an eye" thing comes from, isn't it?

Blossoming Thu 05-May-22 20:42:19

Disgusting!

DaisyAnne Thu 05-May-22 20:44:08

I think the Government has said a Minister should overrule the law in cases like this. The start of the slipery slope. I wonder how their wives will feel when they have taken enough power to themselves to punish them for reading.

Yes you are entitled to your opinion. And I'm entitled to mine. So if we're going to rely on "I'm entitled to my opinion" as a debating method, why are we even bothering to post?

I'm so fed up of "I'm entitled to my opinion", honestly I am.
