Good Morning Everyone,
Its grey but dry at the moment here in brackley this morning.
Today, housework , then bus to Bicester before returning to watch the Tour of Italy on TV .
My Glaucoma clinic at Banbury was OK yesterday as well .
Take Care,
Mick

Morning Mick and those to come, same here, grey and dry in S Hants.
Yesterday was housework, weeding and watering, no real plans today, which is rather odd.
May you all enjoy your Tuesday ??.

grandMattie Tue 10-May-22 06:19:56

Good morning from a grey, overcast E Kent.
A better night, but not very good day.
The hospice consultant spoke to me yesterday and we agree that perhaps DH should be readmitted to try and control his increasing pain, rather than go through me - DH doesn’t like talking over the phone anymore, so it is me who has to do the describing and explanations. We’re increasing the strength of patches, meanwhile.
Today, the cleaner is coming. I would love to go to my tai chi class for the first time in two months, but I’m expecting the consultant to call, so can’t make plans.
I’m off at “sparrow fart” as Pant so elegantly puts it, to have my feet done.
Hope people have a gentle day. Carpe diem. ????❤️???

Good morning, all, from an overcast Torbay, following overnight rain.

I feel so sad to hear of your DH being in pain, grandMattie, but I think the consultant is right to have him back in the hospice. It will be better for you both although will it involve the long journey for you to visit?

Yesterday, I had visits from the builder next door, regarding the damp problem caused by their poor practice and then the son of my deceased neighbour. The funeral is on the 23rd which, sadly, is when DH and I will be on a cruise. It was good to see him and exchange reminiscences.

Thank you for the supportive comments yesterday regarding my road crossing incident. Back to the theatre today to help with Props this morning. Thinking of those with worries of any kind. ??????

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a very breezy Hull.
Been up since 3.30 not able to sleep not even my weighted blanket could settle me back down.

Mick your part of the world sounds really lovely and an area I’d love to visit one day.
grandMattie ? thoughts as always to you both. You have so many decisions to make and everyday we hope your DH can be comfortable.

My sister leaves today after a long weekend visit which has been lovely but busy.
Take care everyone and hope you enjoy your day??

Good morning all from a wet and grey North Leicestershire.

The cat groomer is coming to deal with one of our cats who has become very matted. Should be fun and quite expensive.

Have the best day possible all.

Urmstongran Tue 10-May-22 06:51:53

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where the sun’s up already. Another day of wall-to-wall sunshine ahead.

It’s Tuesday = my usual w/b in the hair salon downstairs then LWW ?? with the 2 ladies who live out here. I won’t be seeing them until 9th August and will really miss them. Good friends are one of life’s blessings.

Enjoy the day all who can. Special thoughts are with you grandMattie. x

Chrissielou Tue 10-May-22 06:54:16

Very grey this morning in Oxfordshire. We do need some rain, the garden is very dry, planting in hundreds of bedding plants we'had grown from seed was a hard task at the weekend, especially on a steep bank.
GD has been very poorly over the last few days, which has been so exhausting for DD1, who was still recovering from recent chemo session. A worrying few days for her, but thankfully some improvement yesterday.
My thoughts are with you grandMattie, what a difficult time for you both. flowers

GrannyGravy13 Tue 10-May-22 07:00:07

Morning Mick and all

We have The Imp today, and I need to go into Chelmsford to return some items that I bought online which did not live up to their photos/description.

Sending (((hugs))) grandMattie

Enjoy your lunch Urmstongran how I would love to join you in the sunshine…

It’s grey here in S E Essex, but I think it is going to brighten up later.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning all from Ibiza and another sunny day.

I hope you can get DH and the hospice sorted today GM the photo is for you today.

We had a wonderful day yesterday in Ibiza town. They were setting up for a Medieval Fair that’s held the 2nd weekend in May. This is the first one for 2 years after Covid. Sadly we will be going home the day it starts. We had a nice tapas lunch whilst there.
The day was spoilt a little by me getting a missed call and voicemail from the hospital regarding the procedure on my foot that is being rearranged. When I got back to them late afternoon I got no reply.
In the evening we had cocktail on the marina and then paella for dinner. Delicious.

This morning we are going on the land train. It goes to some of the villages around here and a couple of beaches. It has a coffee stop at one we know Cala Boix.

Take care everyone.

Good morning all from an overcast Black country, rain overnight so front lawn will have to wait to be mowed. DH mowed the back yesterday while I did washing and ironing from the holiday.
Have booked a carvery for this evening like to break myself in gently as regards cooking after a week away.
Thoughts with you and your DH grandMattie?
Enjoy your LWW Urms August will be here before you know it.
Have a good day everyone and may you all find some ?.

Beechnut Tue 10-May-22 07:11:32

Good morning everyone from Severnside. It’s grey here too. I was expecting a nice day today. Never mind the clouds are moving swiftly.

I think I’ll take the day as it comes weather wise as I have jobs to do both inside and out. For the last couple of years I’ve had some snap dragons randomly growing in the greenhouse. They must have blown in and self seeded so I must plant them outside soon.

My thoughts are with you Mattie.
Have the best day you can all ??

Good morning from another sunny day in France.

Last night our host, Ian, cooked paella for all his guests. We had a lovely evening eating and drinking wine.

Today we are going to a place called Albi, another town full of Cathar history.

Thinking of you GM and your DH. Hopefully the hospice will have some answers for you both.

Enjoy Tuesday everyone xxx

Morning Mick, morning All. A cloudy start to our corner of Somerset

Enjoyed some time with a friend on our way back yesterday then it was into unpacking and laundry. How we made so many clothes dirty over a weekend I have no idea. Grocery order to finish and a hospital appointment to sort for Mr C this morning, not sure what else other than ironing.

Sounds a good thought as a route to settle your husbands pain grandmattie, hope it works out. Enjoying hearing about the sunny holidays while our garden would love a share of your overnight rain monk.

Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 10-May-22 07:31:22

Good morning Mick and everyone from a wet North Devon, the weather has been fair to middling so far, but I don’t care because we are right by the beach!
MissOops hopes to join us later today and MzOops is coming up tomorrow, the drive here was long and tedious due to road works, so I hope they manage the journey ok.
Not so far for MzOops to travel up but the same journey as we had for MissOops.
Anyway, more reading today or listening to music, whatever did we do before IPads? and a walk along the sands whatever the weather then lunch in one of the lovely restaurants .
Blissful.
I know some GNs are having a tough time, so my thoughts are with you and yours every day, hugs for those who need them.

BlueBalou Tue 10-May-22 07:33:24

Good morning from a damp Wiltshire, I wish it would rain properly! My garden is very dry.
Feeling a bit lacklustre, I didn’t sleep well so not sure what I’m doing today other than going to a WI meeting in a nearby village for the first time. I hope I enjoy it, it’s a daytime meeting as opposed to our village’s evening one - I don’t drive at night so stopped attending.
Hope everyone has a fruitful day today x

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 10-May-22 07:34:34

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Our gardener is coming this morning so I hope the weather stays fine. She is bringing some things to plant. I have a Zoom meeting this evening with some friends. There is always the beginning of a lump in my throat when I actually consider the state of the world? Or maybe it’s just me. Ukraine, this country post-Brexit, what seems to be the decline of democracy in the USA… Warm thoughts and ???to Mr andMrs Grand Mattie.

brook2704 Tue 10-May-22 07:34:36

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve broken cloud and sunshine but looks a bit windy.
Sorry to hear about your DGD chrissilou I hope she’s much better soon, also thinking of your DD
A day of pottering in the garden for me today, there’s always lots to keep me busy and I enjoy it.
Lovely photos grandmadinosaur thanks for sharing, also wishing everyone on holiday a lovely relaxing time - enjoy!
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Pittcity Tue 10-May-22 07:35:24

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Looks like we might get a bit of rain.
Tuesday is charity shop day. I'm hoping it's quiet as my body has just got over the stockroom clearing on Friday.
Love to all ? x

Gingster Tue 10-May-22 07:36:30

Good morning all and as GG says - it’s grey here in Essex.

Yesterdays breakfast with Ds1 and DIL was delightful. We sat outside overlooking the golf course in the sunshine. We stayed for a couple of hours chatting. It was nice just to have them as usually the whole family meet up and I miss out on bits of everyone’s news.

Today I have my play reading group which will be fun. It’s only once a month and I haven’t been for the last two, so I’m looking forward to it. I’ll miss Bridge this afternoon as DH is taking DD to her hospital appointment and I will pick little gd up from school and bring her here for tea. DD has to have an ultrasound and a biopsy on her groin. ??.

GM - ? thinking of you both.

Chrissie - I hope your gd continues to feel better. Hard for your DD when she is poorly herself. ❤️.

Hoping you all have a gentle day.?

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 10-May-22 07:40:01

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Let’s hope the Hospice works it’s magic this time on your DH GrandMattie.
Sorry you DD is having a difficult time Chrissielou
Today I go to my art group - we have to copy an old master. I have chosen The Blue Boy, which I suspect will take longer than the allocated 2 hours!
Will probably wash the bathroom floor when I get back - it has been needing a good clean since before we went away.
You sound like you are having a great time in Ibiza Grandmadinasaur. I have never been there but it sounds good!
Have the best day possible folks

Marydoll Tue 10-May-22 07:40:16

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, a bit cooler today, but at least the torrential rain has stopped! It was relentless yesterday, but DH was delighed. He didn't have to water the newly sown grass seed.

We are having internet issues, which is becoming very frustrating, so a short one from me.
I hope you receive the support your are seeking for your DH, GM and Chrissielou, that your daughter has a better day.?

I have a hospital appointment today, but thankfully DH is coming with me. He had Covid the last time and I had to go on my own, I was extremely anxious driving, to say the least!

Enjoy your day folks!

Marydoll Tue 10-May-22 07:41:18

Gingster, I hope today goes well for your DD. ?

Grannmarie Tue 10-May-22 07:58:27

Good morning, Mick, good morning all, from cloudy North Lanarkshire, we had a lot of rain yesterday so holiday washing had to dry in doors, but it's been good for the garden.

Dentist appointment this afternoon.

Sending love and prayers, Grandmattie, that the hospice team will manage your DH'S pain and give you some peace of mind. ??

Chrissielou, I hope your DD and wee GD are feeling a bit better very soon.??

Lovely to hear of so many Grans enjoying wonderful holidays in UK and overseas.
Grandmadinosaur, I hope you get your hospital phone call sorted soon.

Shazza, it's maddening when we wake too early and can't get back to sleep! Glad you had a great weekend with your sister.

Thinking of those with worries, pain or sorrow.
Have the best Tuesday possible!

Good morning,,am a newbie here and finding my way around the site.
It's overcast in Sussex, no real plans for the day, apart from a diabetic review.
I look forward to chatting more as I get to know my way around the site.
