Oh dear Mick, I hope you get an appointment to see your GP tomorrow, meanwhile take it easy and enjoy your Cycling.
A wet start here in Oxfordshire.
Lunch at MissOops today and then we will bring the dog back until tomorrow evening.
Then it’s washing from our holiday to be done.
Have a good day everyone and a virtual hug for those looking after sick family.

Good morning from a cloudy and windy France. Hopefully it will warm up later. Yesterday was very hot, about 30 degrees, luckily there is a pool here and I had it all to myself.

Sorry to hear about your collapse Mick, I hope you will be making an appointment with your GP tomorrow. You need to get yourself sorted out.

Not sure what our plans are today but I am sure they will be very pleasant.

Have a super Sunday everyone, love from Bram xxx

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Oh dear Mick I hope you’re feeling better today.

We’ve had rain overnight with some forecast for today so I won’t be painting the outside of my shed. I’ll make a start on the inside and garden between the showers. I was startled when I was at the end of my garden yesterday when I found a dead pigeon.

Have the best day you can all and enjoy your roasts. I’m having stir fry ??

grandMattie Sun 15-May-22 07:10:00

Good morning from an overcast E Kent. I overslept after a bad night.
DH was given too much morphine which gave him permanent hallucinations, he dozed , was constantly sick, etc. A rubbish day. I hope the reduction of drugs will make him better today. ?
I’m off to church in a minute, then off to the hospice. One good thing is that he starts chemotherapy on Friday, all the tests being ok.
No time to comment, but wish everyone the best of days. Carpe diem. ?????

Grandmadinosaur Sun 15-May-22 07:15:25

Good morning all from grey East Yorkshire.

Oh dear Mick that must have come as a shock to you. I do hope you can get to the bottom of what caused it.

A nice easy day for us yesterday. A little walk, coffee sat outside then lunch. Tried something new to me - soft shell crab. It was ok but I think I prefer the hard shell type for more flavour.
Later in the day I had a phone chat with a dear friend. Her circumstances have changed financially and she suggested for our Birthdays we just do lunch rather than presents too. She has always been very generous and I actually feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders with this decision. Not from the money point but because I never know what to buy her she’s one of these people who has all she needs but always seems to get it spot on when buying for me. So we are meeting next week for lunch for her Birthday.

No plans today. DH will tackle his pile of ironing and hoping he will do mine. Might go for another walk.

Take care everyone.

brook2704 Sun 15-May-22 07:31:05

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s sunny and dry, the rain isn’t due up here until later
Sorry to hear about your collapse mick please go back to your GP, they will sort it out for you
grandMattie ? thinking of you and your DH
Another quiet day for us with no plans yet, will probably carry on with the gardening and fighting the ongoing battle with the weeds!
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

cornergran Sun 15-May-22 07:33:12

Morning Mick, morning All. Overnight rain has left our corner of Somerset feeling humid and warm.

Goodness Mick, that surely shouldn’t be happening. Please call your surgery tomorrow. Resting today seems a good plan.

A busy day yesterday, enjoyed our beach walk, we stayed long enough for a light lunch sitting outside in the sun. Maybe foolishly we began some changes in our home which will mean a need for decorating before I spent a couple of hours with a (much younger) friend admiring her home and hearing about changes in her life.

Admin for me this morning before lunch with our son and his daughters. Really looking forward to that.

Hope today is easier to manage grandMattie, my love to you both. I like the sound of lunch with your friend without the pressure of gifts grandmadinosaur, seems sensible to me. You always sound so busy Beechnut, put mr to shame.

Take care everyone. Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

ShazzaKanazza Sun 15-May-22 07:41:36

Good Morning Mick and everyone. As Grandmadinosaur has said it’s a grey morning in our corner of East Yorkshire.

Mick I’m so sorry to hear of your collapse but glad to hear you weren’t badly hurt. Hope it doesn’t knock your confidence for going on the bus again.

? special thoughts as always to grandMattie and DH. Hope he has a better day today.

Popping over to see DD and family this morning we have a little Steiff teddy for baby B and a summer dress for DGD1 which she’ll love. Baby is ten weeks next week don’t know where that time has gone. She gives the biggest smiles.

Have a good day everyone enjoying all your activities. Hope Sunday brings lovely reasons to smile. ??

Good morning. Overcast after rain during the night. Probably won’t be wearing sandals to show off my newly painted toenails.

I should be spending the day with my scrapbooking group but will only be able to call in for an hour or so as we have a family birthday lunch.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Ashcombe Sun 15-May-22 07:52:56

Good morning from a sunny Torbay.

I’m on a high from the play I watched last night at our theatre. The title is rather convoluted- Passing of the Third Floor Back - and it’s by Jerome K Jerome. Here’s the synopsis:-

The residents of Mrs Sharpe’s lodgings at 13, Bloomsbury Place are a group of disgruntled and resentful boarders who bicker and snipe from dawn to dusk. Into this mix of malcontents comes a stranger who takes a room on the third floor back - and to whom they take an instant dislike. Yet, one by one, each of them are struck by his gentle disposition and honest simplicity. When he departs - as mysteriously as he had arrived - they are no closer to knowing who he was or from whence he came; but his visit has changed their approach to life for ever.

DH and I found it intensely moving, not least because of the allegorical element in that the stranger was Christ-like in his demeanour and wisdom. The cast had been worried that the audience would find it too long. On the contrary, we were transfixed as was everyone - you could have heard a pin drop.

I’m sorry to hear about Mr.grandMattie and hope today finds him more comfortable. God bless you both. ✝️
Poor you, Mick! I hope you can see your GP as soon as possible. That needs investigating with possibly adjustment to your medication.

Wishing everyone the best of days wherever you are. ??????

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow. I can see the sun hiding behind the clouds, so hopefully it will brighten up.
Mick, I'm sorry to hear of your episode yesterday. As others have said, best to let your GP know. Hopefully it was the heat, which caused it.

Thanks to you for all who sent birthday wishes yesterday, they were very much appreciated.
The First Communion children were outstanding yesterday. I have been involved in many, both as a class teacher and sacristan, but this was one of the loveliest ones I have been to.
The children sang like angels and I could feel a tear rolling down my cheek, as one of the hymns had been a favourite of my mother.
The Depute Head and Principal Teacher, were ex students of mine, another teacher was an ex pupil and Dollie's teacher an ex colleague. I had such a lovely catch up!

I had an unexpected video call from Dollie, just before I was leaving. After wishing me a happy birthday, she proceeded to talk me through the pages of her school work, that she had brought home to show her parents. #one very proud gran!
Much as I love her, I couldn't help, looking at the clock, as I was going to be late. It really made my day and gave me such a boost.
Then she asked where papa was, so I was able to beat a hasty retreat. I heard DH saying to her, that there was only one person he knew, who could out talk me and that was Dollie! ?

DD and SIL arrived later with more stuff from their flat. Their storage units are full, but our garage and loft are now full too! I like order, but its decending into anarchy and chaos here!
I looked out at the garden and there are lots of seedlings, belonging to DD, waiting to be translated, by me. DD is too busy emptying the flat!!! Guess what I will be doing today?

As my mum would say, I will love you and leave you, another busy, but day ahead in the garden. I shall pace myself ( if you believe that, you will believe anything) and enjoy the Sunday papers as well.
For those who are struggling, I pray for a gentle day ahead, for you and your family.
Have a good day all.

Gingster Sun 15-May-22 07:54:46

Good morning all and it’s a bit dreary here in Essex.

Dd and I really enjoyed the afternoon tea yesterday. The church hall was packed 94 people in all and £1,500 made for Cancer Research. DD met someone who has mutual friends . Small world scenario with quite a few revelations and surprises.

This morning we are going to DS1’s for coffee and later DD and little gd will come for a late lunch, after her dancing rehearsal.
Twin gs’s MIGHT come along too.?.

We are going (at long last) to our cottage by the sea tomorrow.
We’ve had a whole new heating system so will meet our lovely engineer who has completed the difficult work. He can show us how it all works ?. There will be a lot if clearing up, cleaning and redecorating! Oh well! It’s a good , overdue , job done.

GM I do hope you have a better day. ?. Life is tough for you at the moment! ‘hoc quoque transibit’ .

Mick sorry to hear you’ve had another collapse. Look after yourself and see that doctor again.

Roast chicken for us

Have a lovely day ! ?????

Grammaretto Sun 15-May-22 07:56:14

Good morning from the Scottish Borders. I'm still in bed listening to the birds who have been busy for hours. My room is high in the eaves - among the leaves.
I'm still not well so will take it easy today.
Yesterday I potted the geraniums which I had overwintered in a box. A gransnet tip. They all look well enough.
Poor you Mick ! That must have been a shock. Hope no damage done.
Oh yes the morphine hallucinations gMattie DH hated that. I hope a reduced dose or something else can help him.
Have a happy Sunday everyone.

monk08 Sun 15-May-22 08:04:05

Good morning all from a dull and overcast Black country, rain overnight and looks like more to follow.
Sorry to hear of your collapse Mick do rest up today and contact your GP asap.
grandMattie thinking of you and your DH hope things are better today.
Not much planned today roast pork later.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and may you all find some ?.

Grandmabatty Sun 15-May-22 08:23:19

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and looking a bit grey. I thought I had posted earlier but obviously not. Mick that's very worrying for you. Grandmattie one step forward and two back! I really hope your husband is made comfortable. It must be upsetting for you.
I'm being attacked by a toddler just now. He keeps running at me and I have to catch him. I'm not used to such shenanigans at this point in the day. ? We had a lovely afternoon and evening. He toddled off to bed after some negotiations and never stirred til seven this morning. I'm off to make pancakes for breakfast. Have a good day all.

baubles Sun 15-May-22 08:24:11

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s looking rather grey at the moment.

Mick please don’t ignore your collapse but let your GP know.

Thinking of you gM as ever.

Today I have to look through baby clothes which I’ve been storing for DS. I’ll sort them into sizes and wash the smallest things.

Not much else happening here, I’m looking forward to a quiet day, last week was madly busy.

Take care of yourselves.

kittylester Sun 15-May-22 08:30:33

Morning all from a muggy North Leicestershire.

We have had some rain and are predicted showers - this is a shame as DH was going to rotisserie the pork joint on the barbecue.

We have had a fairly fraught few days topped off by the fridge giving up the ghost.

Sending love and support to everyone.

dragonfly46 Sun 15-May-22 08:34:00

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Sorry to hear you had another collapse Mick how worrying for you.
Mattie when my son was in hospital and on morphine I used to get weird texts from him in the middle of the night. I hope they sort out your DHs meds soon and he is well enough to start chemo next week.

Had a lovely FaceTime with the DGC yesterday. Today meeting DD and SiL to hand over dog who will be with us for 10 days.

Love and best wishes to all especially those with concerns.

Pittcity Sun 15-May-22 08:34:38

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Looks like a cooler, wetter day than yesterday. I have washing in the machine and it may have to dry indoors.
Nothing on the agenda. DH is in the kitchen making a cooked breakfast and we have roast pork this evening. I am listening to a discussion on obesity on the news so we will have to get some exercise to counter the food intake.
I echo others in saying you need to get to your GP to get to the root of your problems Mick.
Love to all ?x

dustyangel Sun 15-May-22 08:39:03

Good morning everyone from a slightly overcast Algarve, rain is threatened at some time to day which means that I’m in two minds about whether to do any washing today. I had offered to add any bits that DGS and partner had as they arrived with tiny backpacks which seemed to explode all over their bedroom floor as they opened them but said they’d brought hardly any clothes! I expect they’ll manage to last out for another day.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been unwell again Mick. Are you drinking enough water in the heat?

NannyJan53 Sun 15-May-22 08:44:08

Good morning from a drizzly Black Country, after a glorious sunny day yesterday. Luckily I cut the grass as it had not been done for weeks!

Hoping to go for a walk this morning with a friend who lives nearby. Then this afternoon we are off to Brum to see Travis. We will have a meal beforehand so no cooking today! Staying over in a nice hotel that do fantastic cocktails. So back around Monday lunchtime.

I hope you contact your GP tomorrow Mick that sounds concerning.

Hugs to grandMattie and her DH, you are in my thoughts.

Urmstongran Sun 15-May-22 08:45:53

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s dry with white cloud and the sun is trying to shine. I hope it doesn’t rain as at lunchtime we are driving to a football pitch to cheer on the Boy Wonder in his cup final match. No lunch with my stepfather but I told him we’d then drive over to his to see him for an hour. I dare say he will offer us a wee dram while we exchange news. Two weeks today we are all off to Ibiza!

Enjoy Sunday all who can. x

Harris27 Sun 15-May-22 08:50:37

Hope your feeling better mick. Had lovely day yesterday in the Lake District. It was sunny and warm life is good and we appreciate being out so much more. Plenty to do today so better get on.

BlueBalou Sun 15-May-22 08:53:38

Good morning everyone, the sun’s out here and the garden has had a much needed refresher from the overnight rain.
Off for a dog walk shortly, going to have coffee and homemade cake from the Coffee Waggon in the village on the way back ?
I hope it stays dry for the walk.
Other than that I have nothing planned.
I hope everyone has a good Sunday x
