Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey start , but its been raining .
Yesterday , I collapsed again waiting for the bus home , but recovered very quickly , minor cuts , just rested when I got home , the heat yesterday with little wind did not help.
Today a salad lunch whilst watching cycling as its all mountains .
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning Mick and everyone from grey Carlisle.
I am also on your case Mick. Do get checked out by your GP. It may just be caused by standing too long in the heat waiting for that bus or possibly something a little more serious but really, you need to know.

I paid a visit to Sainsbury's yesterday to collect a whim wham I'd ordered and to get some fresh veggies. Of course I then cruised round the store and bought other stuff that caught my eye! I don't get tempted like that when I do my online grocery list. After spending that extra cash I then thought I'd take a detour home via the garden centre where I was due a free coffee. I took a look at the new stock. Fatal! I came out with three figures worth of plants having told myself I still had lots of space to fill and that those particular plants wouldn't be there next time I came. Probably true but still....
I'm off to the DIY store shortly for necessary bits and bobs and hope to stick to my list. Moving home is a very expensive business I've found, hard to factor in the cost of all the necessary bits and bobs and I've given up trying. As long as I'm solvent at the end of each month.

I'm sorry to hear about your DH's trials grandMattie, I hope he's better today and getting sorted out.
Have a good day everyone and may the sun shine for us.

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Yesterday was a sunny and mild day, DS arranged all the patio furniture and put up the parasol, very helpful but not taking a cloth to the chairs before putting the pale cushions on them hmm
My sister did not visit, she had ordered luxury food as a birthday gift for me but it did not arrive.
SIL is coming this afternoon and will be staying over in case I need help after the gas meter change.
Hoping for a better day for your DH gM, he is in the best place while sorting the drugs. My DH managed to get out of bed and down the stairs in his confused state, he had been bedridden for weeks.
Enjoy the day if you have the weather.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

hollysteers Sun 15-May-22 09:28:43

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Virus fading away thankfully but not sure if I should start singing with a dicey throat yet. As I have performances coming up, I just studied my music yesterday and sellotaped loose sheets together etc. Must try on my frock and see if it still fits.
Another quiet day and will make some healthy smoothies which also uses up extra fruit and veg before going off.
So sorry to hear of your very difficult day grandMattie and thoughts to all with worries.

hollysteers Sun 15-May-22 09:30:29

Hope you have an appointment soon Mick, collapsing is a worry.

luluaugust Sun 15-May-22 09:30:47

Good Morning from an overcast, but warm, Cambs.,

Have a quiet, restful day Mick, let your Dr.,/surgery know of this latest collapse.

I hope your DH's medication finds the right balance, grandMattie.

Take care, all of you, Enjoy this Sunday.

Good morning from a 'the weather can't make its mind up day' in Northampton. One minute it's glorious sunshine, the next grey and overcast. The washing machine is on, and I shall risk it and hang the washing out.

Had a good afternoon at the womens' rugby match yesterday; lovely sunshine and a win for our team. I treated myself and had chips and wine! Afterwards I went over the road and enjoyed coffee and strawberries in a friend's garden.

No plans for today, shall just see what I feel like doing, but I do need to get a move on with my book club read.

Mick, I think you need to see your doctor again, something needs sorting out.

Hoping that your DH feels better today grandMattie.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

aggie Sun 15-May-22 09:52:15

Neighbour (DD1 ) has invited me for morning coffee and blueberry scones, yum yum !
Gmatie I hope your OH has a better day and gets the meds sorted , it is so distressing for you both xxx

Morning from a grey day in S Lanarkshire where the rain has just arrived. I knew I should have sprayed those weeds on the driveway last night!

EkwaNimitee, has this question been asked or am I the only one who doesn’t know, what is a whim wham?

Lunch with friends was good fun yesterday, another one today so plenty of chat this weekend. I am a bit tired because in spite of my better judgement I tuned in halfway through and ended up watching till the end of Eurovision and being pleased for our lad, he was so cheerful!

Wishing everyone a good day and remembering all who need support ???

Good morning Mick and all. It’s warm and sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 17°C, more cloud about than yesterday. I’m sorry to hear about your collapse Mick, please take it easy today.

Yesterday was a glorious sunny day and we were out watching the steam trains, stretching our legs and chatting to people. It’s the first time in two years that life has really seemed normal.

Unusually for a Sunday morning it’s bustling here already. Today is the Universities dragon boat racing and people are busy getting everything set up. Today’s plans are brunch and watching the races.

Sending love to Grandmattie, hope your DH has a better day today. Glad you’re on the mend Hollysteers.

My tea is finished and I must get a move on if I want to watch the lion dance that opens today’s racing. Have a peaceful Sunday all.

Blossoming Sun 15-May-22 09:59:34

Stilllearning I don’t know what a whim wham is either!

GrannyGravy13 Sun 15-May-22 10:09:02

Morning Mick and all

Sorry you have had another funny turn Mick please be careful.

grandMattie sending you (((hugs))) hopefully your DH will have a better day today.

Yesterday afternoon was spent in the garden watching the GC have fun, they love our bouncy castle, and have great fun in the spa pool. Then DH cooked the meat on the BBQ (only one little peeve about BBQs I and most women I imagine spend all morning making a variety of salad/side dishes and marinating meat, fish etc and the men get all the praise for putting the meat on the BBQ, and standing watching it with a beer in their hand???)

Today I think will be a lazy one, I have several (well lots of) undead books on my kindle so I shall begin one. No roast for us today, which is rare, I shall have a Salmon fillet and DH will probably have steak.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning all from a grey Perthshire. The weather is trying out every single one of the Fifty Shades - I just hope it starts in the blue spectrum soon, or I shall scweam and scweam! Taxiing was fine yesterday - it was brighter in the evening, and the lovely views were discernible. It was still light for the drive to Crieff but when we left there at 10pm darkness had descended. Loving the light evenings. Back home this afternoon to get ready for a busy week - two lunches and a drive out for afternoon tea, before tai chi on Thursday. I shall love it all, but will be ready to say "....... and breathe" come Friday!
Mick I shall just tell you to take care as other posters have handed out the advice I would. Gmattie I hope your DH's meds can be better balanced - as someone above said, he is in the best place while they do that. In the meantime, take care of you.
Happy third birthday today Marydoll - it sounds as if it will be a busy one!
Now must away and start getting this show on the road - DGD and I are going for lunch at the lovely little village coffee shop before I head east.
Love, blue skies and sunshine to all x

Taichinan Sun 15-May-22 10:22:53

That "one little peeve" resonates grannygravy!

Taichinan Sun 15-May-22 10:27:59

And another one here who would love a translation of "whim wham" Ekwanimity.

Grandmadinosaur Sun 15-May-22 10:39:43

I’ve no idea what a whim wham is either.

Jaxjacky Sun 15-May-22 10:48:59

Good morning from a rainy S Hants, much needed. Take care of yourself Mick.
As gardening is curtailed I’ll do an upstairs tidy up and have another look at the crossword. Beef curry to prep for the slow cooker.
grandMattie thinking of you both.
Enjoy your day all ??

Georgesgran Sun 15-May-22 10:54:03

Lost my post!
Surely a whim wham is the same as a whimsy? Something not really necessary - a trinket or fancy - just bought on a whim?

Georgesgran Sun 15-May-22 10:57:35

PS - I remember my DF talking about gewgaws - showy ornaments and trinkets.

Chris3 Sun 15-May-22 11:23:24

Good morning from South Yorkshire where a very happy grandma has just witnessed DGD1 swim 25 metres in her swimming lesson ? ?? considering she's been terrified of water until a year ago in very pleased #proud grandma.
In other news DD1 and her partner have just got a Labrador puppy....I cannot wait to meet him.
Family over for tea tonight and hopefully a bit more gardening this afternoon if the rain holds off.
Mick please go to the doctor's again. We're they going to do some heart tests on you?
Grandmattie I hope your husband is better today ?
Have a good day all xx

EkwaNimitee Sun 15-May-22 15:35:49

For Stillearning a whim wham is just some trifling object. In my case, a small caddy for the ensuite.
