Are you in touch with them, Charley? If so could you check. I feel a bit nervous about adding names without direct permission.

soop Mon 30-May-22 15:04:49

The list of good wishes to Baubles is growing even as I write. Perfect! There should be sufficient space for every name. A keepsake for Baubles.

You`ve missed me off Baggs!
N&G, good to see you, I was thinking about you just the other day. How are the little boys?
It doesn`t seem 11 years since Greenmossgiel, later to become Marelli, now Greenmossgiel again, persuaded me to join. It also doesn`t seem nearly 10 years since my first meet up, in Birmingham, I think a good few of us from that meet up are still here.

Sue I'm sorry to hear the shocking news with which you were greeted. Being bereaved, and alone in a foreign country, must be a nightmare for your friend's wife. flowers

Dear NanaandGrampy, how good it feels to know that you have returned to our kitchen. I know that you, Nana, have had a very difficult time recently. I hope that you are now feeling stronger and are on the road to recovery. sunshine (hugs)

Please would you add my name too, Baggs? Thanks very much to you and soop for organising the card. It's a lovely idea.

MawtheMerrier Mon 30-May-22 15:23:54

And me, Baggs , please!

kittylester Happy memory making. smile

Yia Percy Pigs and plenty of tender loving care sound like the best of treats for a poorly grandson. Keep up the good work.

brook I have enjoyed reading about the memorable experiences that you've enjoyed in beautiful Switzerland. Wishing you a comfortable journey home. Your memories will be priceless.

I intended making a start on the pet portrait this morning. Instead, we motored into Tarbert. I wanted to buy a special card for a dear friend who has been taken to hospital and is awaiting surgery. He was on holiday in Wales, with his wife when he became sick. Our friend made the decision to motor home to Cheltenham, in the early hours, in the dark, because they were in a holiday cottage in the middle of nowhere and she had poor coverage on her mobile phone. We are awaiting an update.

That's very kind of you Baggs .

I just didn't want to jump in as I haven't been about lately.

I am almost fully recovered Soop you have to love technology eh? I hope you and MacS are doing well too !!

I have just had a message from the Queen of the Universe. They have gone boating on the Norfolk Broads and she is horrified to find no microwave, no internet and no socket for her hairdryer !!!

She texted me to ask me to come and get her !!!

She's only been on the boat 50 minutes lol !!

I suggested we give it overnight to see how she feels tomorrow . But I do love that she fully believes she only has to ask me to stop the world turning an I'll make it so !!

She's definitely the Queen of my Universe lol xx

moomin Mon 30-May-22 17:17:56

Baggs could you please add my name to the card for Baubles
Thanks ?

soop Mon 30-May-22 17:24:21

NanaandGrampy Now I know for certain that you are back with us. The Queen of YOUR Universe has also been missed. [grin[

Hellogirl1 We said hello to David very recently. Never will forget him. smile

I am logging off. Have made so little progress with pet portrait but have promised myself to make amends tomorrow.

My very best wishes to you all. Especially our friends who are having to deal with sad and disruptive times.

Good evening dear Kitcheners. The weather has been cold and wet today, I’m catching up on laundry and have had to use the tumble dryer for the first time in months. I do hope Urmstongran and family are now safely in Ibiza, the scenes at Manchester were awful. I’m wrapped in my favourite blanket while Mr. B sorts out some food!

Galen Mon 30-May-22 18:14:48

I keep thinking that I should change over to my summer duvet, but the night time temperatures are a tad low!??❄️⛄️

Hello, Maw smile

Hello Soop and all in the Kitchen! ??

SueDonim Mon 30-May-22 18:52:26

Thank you for all your kind posts re our friend. Thankfully his company have stepped up to the plate and are being very supportive to his wife - or I suppose widow - and local people are being kind to her. Family will arrive today, too.

It did knock me sideways, I must admit. I shudder to think of my face - my 4yo GD appeared, took one look at me and said ‘Mummy, what’s wrong with Nanna?’ ?

It’s lovely to see the list of names for Baubles card. I’m sure she’ll be thrilled! What an advert for The Kitchen, too.

SueDonim Mon 30-May-22 18:52:47

That should be ❤️

Septimia Mon 30-May-22 18:57:20

Hi Baggs, please add me to Bauble's card.
I might be fairly unknown because I don't often have anything to say, but another good wish can't hurt!

And thinking about 'kitchen' things has reminded me to rescue a rather well-done loaf of bread from the oven!

Baggs Mon 30-May-22 18:59:48

Septimia ✔️

Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!

I'm having a lazy evening after a busy weekend, family lunch here yesterday. Lovely to see everyone!

No park walk today, weather is showery, but I've made plans to meet up with my childhood friend tomorrow.

Brook, your Swiss holiday sounds just perfect, so good to spend time with your DS in such a beautiful location. Safe journey home.

SueD, what tragic news, so sorry to hear about your dear friend's husband. I hope she is now surrounded by kind and helpful people. ??
I heard at church this morning about a local couple whose dear son was killed recently in a road accident abroad, so tragic at any time but especially when the loved one is far from home.

TOYA, hope Monday evening is kind to all.

kittylester Mon 30-May-22 19:41:35

Just popping in to say that the Kitchen is great. So many lovely messages fir baubles. Thank you soop and baggs for organising.

I'm exhausted! 3 lively children for 2 days is more than this 73 year old can manage!! Lovely, though they are.

brook2704 Mon 30-May-22 20:03:08

Thank you grannmarie and everyone for your kind wishes - we’re on the last leg of our journey now from Edinburgh to Inverness - it’s taking longer to do this bit than it did to get from Basel to Edinburgh! Luckily no delays or long queues to disrupt things either Oh well we’ll be home soon enough and I think I’ll need to put the heating on

Ali23 Mon 30-May-22 21:25:04

Please can you add my name Baggs? Thanks
