Susan so sorry to hear the news about your friend. You will be stunned. I am at a loss to what to write.
Granmarie I am thrilled to read of your DH's progress.
Have spent day with DGD. Went to the park for the first time and had a wonderful hour or so there. No issues when time to leave. She is such a joy and delights in the miniscule. A lesson for me!
Lovely weather. Blood test tomorrow and errands. I do very little chores on the days I have DGD and catch up on the days I don't. And sometimes don't catch up either...My best wishes to all. Take care soop.

I really don’t know how you take in that very sad newsSueD it’s a very cruel world.
Pleased to hear positive news about your daughters first session kitty, long may that last.
Eye test is interesting soop let’s hope any easy solution explains the mystery.
Quite warm here down south today, tomorrow even warmer, so jobs get done in the morning. Farm shop and village bits done by 1, then garden pottering in the shade, watered greenhouse early, will do again later.
Enjoy your evening all.

Thank you for your kind thoughts for Dd1 and for me. She is fine thus far and enjoying the freebies that came with her nake-up course

I feel a fraud as it is DD1 who is going through it.

Thank you for the comments re my dd. She’s improving all the while although lost her sense of smell (not taste) last night. Covid is SO weird. hmm

Sorry to hear such sad news about your friend Susan how tragic at such a young age, thoughts are with her family ?

gillgran Tue 21-Jun-22 17:47:23

Susan, no wonder your emotions are so mixed, sad new of your friend, so young.

We are off to Northampton tomorrow to a memorial service for DH's elderly uncle, (he died in late 2020), so much postponed due to his son (DH's cousin) living in USA.
It actually should be a happy celebration of a life well lived, taking place in the DU's long-time-favourite Church.

I hope your DD coped as well as possible today, kittylester.

Warm thoughts for all.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 21-Jun-22 17:38:56

Susan sorry to hear about your friend but good to hear about the new baby. That’s a lot of news to digest in one day. ?
Kitty hope your DDs first chemo went well.
Love to all x

Grandmabatty Tue 21-Jun-22 17:08:28

Susan I'm not surprised you are all over the place. That's such sad news about your friend.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 21-Jun-22 16:55:53

Good afternoon dearest kitchens. Soop I can’t believe we are nearly at the 1000
mark again this is truly a special place.

Grannmarie it’s such great news how your DH is recovering ?
Soop i missed the news about your funny turn but hoping your Dr appointment today will help.
Yia your holiday pics are beautiful. I’ve never been to but always wanted to after seeing Shirley Valentine.

Your grandchildren pics are gorgeous ladies. Many of us are such proud Grandparents.

I’ve been at mums today and helped her set up her new shark hoover she got off QVC. It’s where she does most of her shopping. I ended up hoovering her stairs for her. We’ve been to do our big Tesco shop. We bought one of their meal deals for tea so easy peasy. Sorry I sound boring.

Pleased FannyCornforth is recovering from her hip operation.
Looking forward to Urmstongran coming back on. Missing her posts.
Thinking of you all. Enjoy your evening with some cooler sunshine to enjoy. X

I hope that your DD’s treatment went well kitty. Also love the pictures of Wolfie!

You gave me a chuckle Granmarie and Ann.Good to hear your DH is continuing to make good progress Granmarie.

Blossoming, could your fall have knocked your balance off?I hope that a few days rest sees you feeling better.

Grandmabatty sounds like a lovely day but I’m sure you need a rest now.

We have had very sad news.A friend of mine aged 36 has been told she has only a couple of weeks to live, possibly more time if she can have chemo but no cure. She was given the diagnosis and prognosis all at once.It is such a shock, I feel devastated.

Just as we were processing this news we had a call to say a friend of our daughters has had a much longed for baby.

My emotions are all over the place.

soop Tue 21-Jun-22 16:42:59

kitty Is it any wonder why Wolfie is looking so pleased with himself. His bed is just the best. As is the duvet.

Grandmabatty Little ones tend to become over tired. It's just that they won't acknowledge the fact. Well done, you.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, FannyCornforth.

Hellogirl1 We have said hello to dear David en route to the surgery.

My blood pressure reading is low. Always has been. To have bloods taken Thursday. That should be fun! After which, I have an appointment for an eye test.

Sweetie Pie (feral cat) "doesn't like Co-op cat food". This was how Mr S chose to start the day. Whatever...*Sweetie Pie* has made up for things by woofing away three dishes of her favourite food, laced with superior cat food dry biscuits. You have to smile. Or, we two do.

Not a bad day, weather-wise. Some warm sunshine and very little wind.

I now need to attend to preparing vegetables for this evening's meal. As I do so, I have one ear cocked to listen to the ladies tennis match.

Until we meet again, lovely peeps...smile moon

soop Tue 21-Jun-22 16:27:53

Wonderful news, Grannmarie. Your husband is not only a trooper, he's a star. sunshine

Grandmabatty Tue 21-Jun-22 16:21:43

I'm relaxing after a day spent with grandchildren. I've had dgs2 since nine o'clock this morning. He has been very well behaved apart from a ten minute spell of outraged yelling because I dared to put him down for a nap. However he slept for two and a half hours. Then dd appeared with dgs1 after nursery at half one and they've just gone home. The house is mostly tidied so a seat on the couch to recover and then I'm making chicken souvlaki for dinner. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

gillgran Tue 21-Jun-22 16:18:08

Warm wishes to you all on this "longest day" of the year.

It was great to have a chuckle, annsixty & Grannmarie, smile, ( I had to scroll back to the previous page to "get it"!)

Your DH's progress is more promising Grannmarie.

Hope that soop got sorted with the doctor today.

Take care all.

Blossoming Tue 21-Jun-22 15:31:29

Here, not her!

Blossoming Tue 21-Jun-22 15:31:05

Lovely photos Kitty,: hope your DD is feeling as well as can be expected.

In case anyone is wondering, I know she doesn’t post in her as a rule. FannyCornforth has had her hip replacement surgery and is now recuperating at home.

Blossoming Tue 21-Jun-22 15:27:40

AnnSixty I do hope no one saw you in the garden yesterday afternoon
grin

It’s another scorcher here, the washer is taking care of towels and bedding. I’ve changed a fitted sheet and am now reconfiguring my spinal column and sipping water. Mr. B has taken a few things to the charity shop, he’s been sorting a few things from the garage shelves.

My balance seems more problematic than usual at the moment, I expect it’s a combination of things.

Grannmarie Tue 21-Jun-22 14:57:35

Thank you, Kitty. What a lovely treat for your DD!
That is a great Big Boy Bed, Wolfie looks delighted with it!

kittylester Tue 21-Jun-22 14:38:38

So pleased for you grannmarie!

Thank you for your good wishes for DD1. She had a free makeup session before her session.

Just thought you might like to see Wolfie and his new bed. He quite likes it.

Grannmarie Tue 21-Jun-22 14:37:08

Oh my goodness, Annsixty, I've just re read my post...that made me laugh out loud, thanks very much ? I meant the Scottish wee, of course!
Thank you, Blossoming, Grandmadinosaur, Jaxjacky. ?

Jaxjacky Tue 21-Jun-22 13:30:27
