? Hi to catterygirl you’re very welcome here, your cattery in Spain sounds very interesting and I’m sure you could tell a few stories!
Well we’ve had a trip out to the local garden centre this afternoon, bought a few bedding plants to add a splash of colour and of course we treated ourselves to a coffee and cake in the cafe, a salted caramel chocolate brownie that was yummy - no calories of course as I checked beforehand ?
Such a shame you’re stuck in for a while soop but understandable if there’s no safe pavement to walk along. We’ve a few similar roads nearby and they’re not safe at all. Maybe a few laps around the garden might be doable ? If not just enjoy the rest whilst you can and save the petrol money for little treats later!

That is spot on soop I feel I have lost my confidence and must now face up to the fact that there are things I can no longer do.

I am no longer a cat owner (currently a tenant) but owned a cattery on the Costa Blanca we designed from scratch. I had a weekly cat article in the local newspaper and wrote a book about running a cattery in Spain but publishers said it was out of fashion. Even the agent for James Bowen ( Bob the Cat) turned me down. Have moved on.

Had my eyes tested today another one for cataract operations but not quite yet probably six to nine months or so, another op to add to the list.??Have a good evening all.

Hellogirl how could anybody be so rude about Billy? I think he is a handsome boy and he is looking so relaxed. He does love his home and he settled in very quickly though that was not exactly yesterday.

A warm welcome to Catterygirl. Consider yourself one of us lot. Do you own a cat? We feed feral cats that seem to find us regardless of our isolated location. They are free spirits. They visit when in need of a hearty meal. Maybe spend the night in a cosy so-called apartment, in the garden, and disappear back into the forest.

What have I achieved today? Answer, very little. I have been scouting for suitable gifts for the four great grandchildren and that, my dears, is that.

We cannot go out for walks. There is no pavement between our home and the village. Mr Soop is not able to drive. I cannot walk safely on the rocky beach. Hence, I shall no doubt gain weight, which is not something I can afford to do right now. Mr Soop has lost weight (in spite of eating all the foods he fancies.) There is seemingly no justice in this world.

Time for log-off. I've been asked to search for a M&S carrier bag that should contain all the documents re the hospital visit. I ask you.

Dragonfly I know how you must be feeling after your tumble. It can shake you up and make you almost ultra-cautious. I seem to walk differently these days. A soft-shoe shuffle totter...gone are the days when I strode everywhere without a care in the world. I must confess, I am beginning to feel old and, it's a buggeration.

Urms I can still remember the wonderful street party, and getting all dressed up to the nines, on the occasion of the coronation. How time flies.

I have my own tale of woe - I sliced open a finger on a broken tea light holder yesterday. Luckily Dh managed to get the blood out of the carpet that will belong to new owners on Friday! ?

I did a Heath Robinson (he’s currently in the news) job on mending myself. I managed to get a compeed plaster on to staunch the blood then fashioned a finger stall out of a finger cut off from a nitrile glove and kept it on with an elastic band. I had to release the tension now and then to let the blood flow back into my finger. ?

Good morning dear Kitcheners, hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday. So many beautiful cat pictures, I’m currently catless for the first time in my whole life but I enjoy hearing about others . Welcome Catterygirl and any other new visitors to this warm and friendly kitchen. It’s dull and grey here at the moment but dry and warm, so a walk is the plan for this afternoon. Hoping all our invalids are on the mend.

Another handsome Jack ?‍⬛, is he quite young, Grandmajean? Our Jack is around 7 or 8, according to the rescue people and the vet.

Three wonderful cats to brighten the day - thank you. I miss having cats but they are a trip hazard and DH could trip over a bus ticket so we chose not to replace our nineteen year old strays. Still feel there is a cat shaped hole in my life.

My sympathy, Dragonfly, hope you feel less battered soon. Hope all goes well with Mr Soop and that the ear trouble is temporary.

A busy day here in Inverness, popped into town for a bit of shopping and there were lots of people out and about enjoying the sunshine. Seems like the hardy locals were in summer clothes and sandals and the visitors wrapped up in bobble hats and boots!

Soop glad to hear MrSoop’s cataracts have been done and you are both home safely. I too am putting drops in DHs eye after his cataract surgery. I hope your patient is easier than mine to get the drops into ?
