And we're off again, day 3, which to me now feels like a Monday. Yesterday the dog came third in show as most handsome male, beaten by a silly sausage! ? No corgis or dorgies round here.
Today there is a village community show case exhibiting all the activities on offer. Mine is teaching everyone how to shop for bread and fruits in French. ?? A jazz evening is lined up for tonight.
What has struck me is the number of young people joining in and being the first to help with tables, chairs etc.

Yes, it's great. We're going to the street party - something my DH can manage and enjoy (stroke limited movement & speech). It's a welcome opportunity to get out and remind myself that there are other lovely people in the world.

It's been lovely here. Every village and town has its own celebrations and people have come out to enjoy. I watched the events in London on TV and as usual our pageantry surpassed itself. Life has been full of doom and gloom the last 2 years. This has just given us an uplifting 4 day break! I hope the good feeling continues.

This is Scotland. yes, I know that there will be lots of celebrations - however, not so many where I live. I did take my 85 year old mother to an afternoon tea at the Care Home where I work. Mum joined in - she remembers the Coronation - even though she was resident in Australis then. Shame, the current Government in Australia seems to not like the Monarchy!! Still, our residents had a lovely time. My job is to look after the current crumblies, Today - they had a Ball.

We went to a local Proms in the park last night - free - and then to the Beacon lighting. I haven’t sang the National Anthem so many times for years! The best though, was at our local fun choir where we sang unaccompanied in the church hall. Excellent acoustics and emotional rendering.

Yes! I had a wonderful day in London with all the crowds watching the parades up and down The Mall. My first royal event didn't disappoint. I walked up The Mall with a huge smile on my face (on my own!). The air display was fantastic too. It reminded me of a special family event to which I was welcome. The atmosphere was very special indeed. So glad to have done this at last. Congratulations your Majesty. Richly deserved celebrations. ???❤

Lucca lots of other ladies looking nice in pastel colours. She could have picked a colour that blended rather than stood out. M obviously worried she'd not be noticeable enough. I know. I'm a nasty piece of work but I'm much more impressed by the other Royal ladies and their tact and discretion.

There was a reading of a proclamation at Castlegate on Thu - no idea what that was about - and the lighting of a beacon, on Broad St in the evening. The beacon consisted of two bottles of Calor Gas and a fire extinguisher. ??

My Partner and I attended a "Gercha "celebration at a local pub even though it's not really our thing....I made a Jubilee dress and headband ...
It was a brillant night...lots of people over 50 as well as youngsters ..a teal giggle

I do love a good hymn!

And sometimes the tune is an unfamiliar one, which is off putting.

Some hymns have their words changed. I know all the words to “Christ is made the sure foundation,” but not the version they sang this morning.

I thought the Archbishop of York gave a very good address. He comes across as much more natural that the AoC who always seems very pompous.

Zara looked amazing. The hot pink and periwinkle combination was right on.

I loved Eugenies dress, but not her hat. A bold color choice like orange would have supported a bold hat as well.

They all looked happy and relaxed.

We're having a lunch party on Sunday for about 25 people. Not so much jubilee celebration though, just fun. I'm a bit worried about the possibility of rain though..

It was Avaline, ever so many people came up and commented positively on the way out, I was waiting for my lift home, but not a single negative comment and the children particularly enjoyed ‘God Save the Queen’ at the end waving their paper flags and dancing.
