Living memory of WW2. There are a few of us on here.

Cameras and camcorders are now old technology. Although there will be people who still like developing negatives. This will become a niche hobby like vinyl records, stamps, postcards and coin collecting.

Living memory of steam locomotives used on everyday mainline trains will go.

Steam locomotives only remaining on heritage lines and on special trips on the main lines.

Hopefully council tax to be replaced by local taxes based upon income.

Most of the last 6 items have long disappeared already.

Although, I was at a graduation ceremony in a cathedral last week and actually saw several men wearing hats. Most were baseball hats.

With the current trend for pre-loved/vintage clothes I think many more folks are getting into sewing.

Every other TV programme is food related, my GC have all started baking:cooking as soon as they could stand at the kitchen table. Not sure if cooking will ever disappear.

We are a nation of foodies. I can’t imagine napkins and tablecloths, home cooking or restaurants and pubs disappearing - there are plenty of younger people enjoying them all, and many of them like formal tables.

Manners. e.g. holding the door for someone in a shop and not getting a thank you.

Manners won’t disappear with us. My son and his friends were brought up to have good manners and they aren’t alone, though sadly a great many younger people seem totally unaware of what manners are. Also some not so young people - I was very surprised to see Jay Blades keeping his cap on in a Church.

Oh they always get a very audible “you’re welcome” from me!
(At least one of us is polite ?).

Plug-in satnavs (I actually use mine although I don’t go very far now). Both DDs use their ‘phones and of course newer cars are fitted with inbuilt ones.
