My grandson does as well, One of his favourite hats.

Living memory of living through the Cuban missile crisis.

Terrestrial TV, radios, alarm clocks, watches (for telling the time only), face to face GP surgeries, shoe polish. All sorts of manual things in the house, lights, curtains, blinds, toilet flushes, gauging water temperature for bathing, lawnmowers and the list goes on.

Marmalade, which makes me sad as I love it - but it only seems to be eaten by over 50s.

Can you back that up with demographic/statistics?
There is an ever-increasing proportion of older people as we are tending to live longer and I was not aware that the birth rate was rising.
Anyway I think it is still ridiculous to characterise young middle-aged people as older generations

I have grown up with many of the things mentioned! Which to me still seem relevant

Tea cosies. I'm the only person I know who uses one!

I use one! It’s in the shape of a giant cat. I make a pot of tea for breakfast and like it hot.

It’s just facts, the average age we die in the UK is 81 (M/F combined age), so if we are over 41 we are in the second half of our lives, by definition the older generations. It’s not to do with proportions in each generation, just age defined.

Bowing and curtsying - really no place for either in this day and age
