If money, space or property design was no problem what luxury would you treat yourself to.
I think mine would be a 20 metre swimming pool full of lovely warm water. Oh and a hunky pool man to keep it clean!
What selfish indulgence would you have?

timetogo you could always book the Eisenhower apartment in Culzean castle on the Ayrshire coast for a few days

I'm another who would like a chauffeur/handyman with a partner who was happy to be housekeeper/secretary. they would both be dog lovers and love walking my hypothetical hounds when I was off sunning myself somewhere exotic.

I would be a benevolent employer who would be happy for them to live in the pretty cottage in the grounds of my lovely new 'residence'.*

*As in 'The Dog residence. The lady of the house speaking' grin.

A chauffeur and a comfortable car; a private jet for overseas travel.

A housekeeper - someone to keep order in my home, because I certainly can't and I'm the only occupant.

Kennels- I restrict myself to two rescue greyhounds at a time , if money was no object I could have dozens !

I think I would have a general factotum type person. They would be responsible for all housework, to be undertaken while I am out walking the dog, so I return to fresh bedding each day and a nicely stocked fridge, they would be a dab hand at blow drying my hair, a job I hate. They would also mow the lawn, weed the flowerbeds, and drive me to where ever I needed to be. I would be a kind and generous employer

Has to be a chauffeur and housekeeper, plus first class travel to Australia to visit family

I’d love an enormous animal sanctuary with lovely accommodation and good staff to look after all the guests.

Fresh bedlinen every day - with someone else to wash and iron it and change the beds

Oh Maw you beat me to it! I’d positively dance into bed every night!

I'd love a P.A. a secretary/ help/organiser/handyperson/general assistant to help with everything that's becoming just a bit of a struggle now.

Menopaws Tue 31-May-22 23:18:37

Yep first class flights to oz and nz to see my children whenever I want with all the trimmings and to give up work

CanadianGran Tue 31-May-22 23:10:50

A property close to daughter and family, so we could visit but not be staying with them. That way I would stay for longer periods. Plus they live in a nice city which I love!

A 3 storey house, with a self contained 3rd floor for me. Sitting room. Bedroom. Kitchen. Bathroom. DD and DGS could have the 2 floors below, but I'd have my calm, quiet oasis at the top.

I could name a lot of other luxuries, but honestly, I'm not really bothered about them.

I always say handmade shoes too Nanny27. Oh to wear glamorous shoes again. ?

Nanny27 Tue 31-May-22 22:57:13

Hand made shoes so that my ugly feet could be encased in gorgeousness while being comfy. Bliss.

Marydoll Tue 31-May-22 22:52:21

I would settle for a top of the range summer house. I'm easily pleased!

Callistemon21 Tue 31-May-22 22:49:02

a carbon neutral tele-porter
DGS3 is currently drawing up plans for one, but he’s only 7 so it may be a while yet before it’s in production

Tell him to hurry up! ?

That would be lovely Calli. The full package, not forgetting a stop over in Singapore or Dubai.

Yes - not for too long but I'd like to see the Supertrees in Singapore.
Raffles overnight, we didn't stay there last time we were in there but did visit in the afternoon for a tour round and a Singapore Sling.

Maggiemaybe Tue 31-May-22 22:44:07

First class travel wherever we go. And a chauffeur on tap to get us to the trains, boats and planes.

If I’m allowed to stray into the realms of fantasy, a carbon neutral tele-porter instead. DGS3 is currently drawing up plans for one, but he’s only 7 so it may be a while yet before it’s in production. smile
