Don’t know if it’s me or anyone else feels the same, seems that they didn’t have much success in coming back for the queens platinum jubilee, then suddenly they go back to USA, and now are showing photographs of Lillebet, .. in my opinion, a little too late. They hardly shown any of Archie since he was born, is it now to try and gain ‘brownie points’ and win the public over…. Don’t get me wrong whatever photos they show of the little ones are adorable, but to me a little too late…

Oooh another hate fest. What fun.

Blossoming Tue 07-Jun-22 09:15:42

Yes, it’s you.

It was interesting to see a picture as I am sure we were all speculating and the little girl is beautiful but they are a private couple now and that is that.

Anniebach Tue 07-Jun-22 09:21:44

Charles and .Camilla , criticism welcomed

Megan and Harry, a hate fest.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 07-Jun-22 09:23:50

I suppose if they had published the photo on her birthday it would have clashed with and taken second place to the Jubilee reporting. If they want such a private life why publish it at all?

aggie Tue 07-Jun-22 09:23:50

I thought it was very good to see they kept to their desire to remain under the radar, no private person wants a camera pointed at them all the time

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 07-Jun-22 09:24:27

Beatrice, Eugenie and Zara haven’t produced many photos of their children. In fact I don’t think I’ve seen a photo of Zara’s son at all. But why should it matter? These are children, and the general public do not have a right to see photos of them! H&M’s flying visit was just right. The tabloids and their followers would complain whatever they did - and they are using 1000s of words to say so!

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 07-Jun-22 09:25:21

lulu, I assure you that I wasn’t speculating. I’m not remotely interested in their children.

Just after Kate released photos of Prince Louis ‘star of the show.’ Bitchy remark over, Lilibet is a lovely looking little girl with a full set of pearly teeth. The public would just like to see the odd picture now and again and one of Archie. Don’t we all have a photo of our little loved ones to show occasionally? H and M will never be completely private.

Lexisgranny Tue 07-Jun-22 09:27:37

I thought the photograph of Lilibet was delightful, and I really don’t understand the obsession with the colour of her hair.

As Lemsip said, the photographs were taken by Misan Harriman who was a headhunter in the city before becoming a professional photographer. It seems unclear as to whether the photographs were actually released through his twitter account rather than directly through Meghan and Harry - no doubt someone can clarify this.

The three photographs on Twitter were Lilibet; one of Megan and Lilibet with his wife Camilla Holmstroem ( a banker who advises on business ventures) and their two children; and one of himself with his young daughter.

He had the privilege of being the first black photographer to shoot a cover of Vogue, and also produced the photographs taken in their American garden when Meghan’s second pregnancy was announced. He has known the couple for some time, and it used to be said that he introduced Meghan to the person who introduced her to Harry!

No, I don’t know them, I wasn’t there, but all this information was freely available on the internet way before Lillibet was born.

This ‘private couple’ are making a reality show of their lives for Netflix.

TBH, they are irrelevant just now. I’m glad however that HMQ was introduced to her youngest great granddaughter. I’m glad they stayed quietly at Frogmore and attended the St Paul’s service with little fuss.

I hope Harry stays happy with his new life and they don’t feel it necessary to throw more c**p at the UK and the rest of the family.

I’m far more concerned with the state of our government and the poorest in our society.

Private in their context means non-working royal. They are entitled to earn a living.

luluaugust Tue 07-Jun-22 09:31:57

Irony?

nanna8 Tue 07-Jun-22 09:32:48

There are quite a lot of photos of Archie on the internet, he is a cute little boy. Maybe they don’t appear in the uk ?

Oldwoman70 Tue 07-Jun-22 09:34:51

I have heard people complaining because the children were not shown whilst they were in UK, now complaining because a picture is released celebrating a child's first birthday!

Anniebach Tue 07-Jun-22 09:38:18

They are entitled to make a living , did they have to make a living using a family they have accused of being racist and so
uncaring not one of the family asked her if she was ok,

Whitewavemark2 Tue 07-Jun-22 09:38:47

My favourite royal child is Prince Louis?. He is the gift that keeps on giving.

RichmondPark Tue 07-Jun-22 09:40:25

I was happy to see them and thought they looked well and were welcomed into their family. To me they didn't seem to put a foot wrong while they were back but for some people they will never put a foot right.

eazybee Tue 07-Jun-22 09:41:05

The only interest in their private lives is through their connection to royalty.

annsixty Tue 07-Jun-22 09:45:40

Where do children pick up that awful nose thumbing thing?
It looks dreadful and I would not be happy if my C or GD did it.
The baby is beautiful.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 07-Jun-22 09:49:05

More. He looks exhausting????

Glorianny Tue 07-Jun-22 09:55:29

They came back and kept a low profile. They were not (as has been alleged many times on these threads) accompanied by a Netflix film crew or photographer. I have no doubt it's a great disappointment to some that they behaved so well.

I do wish people would realise that Meghan had a career and was involved in charitable work and work to help women and girls way before she met Harry.

I read a Horrid Henry story to my GS where Henry tells Perfect Peter that that's how you greet the Queen. I wonder if Louis has had the same story?
