Sorry but there's no way I would have put up with that behaviour.
Raising his hands to his mother's face was unbelievable. None of my children and lots of foster children over the years would have done any of that. Pulling faces, thumbing nose etc not acceptable at 4. At 2 yes but not at 4. Parents should have removed him to the nanny and sent him home. That's how he will learn acceptable behaviour by excluding him when he plays up.
