Good morning from a drizzly E Kent.
I’m just off to the supermarket as I have several call to hang around for.
Yesterday went ok, except that I had to call this NHS agency, who told me to call that one, who said they were too busy but would return my call within 24 hours. You know the drill…
Carpe diem. ????
Good morning, Michael, and all GNs. It’s raining in South Yorkshire and I am up ridiculously early. I spent yesterday afternoon in the garden, planting beans and other bits and pieces, and weeding the big flower bed. I was going to cut the back lawn today (my neighbour very kindly cut the front for me), but that’s gone down the tubes. So an ‘in’ day then. I have to ring my energy company to find out why they want to put my direct debit up when I am significantly in credit. They tried this in April and I told them to take a hike.
I hope there’s some sunshine somewhere but have the best day you can folks.
Good morning from a drizzly Oxfordshire, we are off to a picnic lunch, let’s hope it stops raining and the sun comes out, or we will all have to sit in our cars.
GM?
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a damp muggy Leicestershire.
Hopefully the man is coming back this morning to finish the water feature. He was rained off last time.
Then an Ocado delivery.
So sorry you are being messed about Mattie. I hope you get things sorted today.
Wishing everyone a good day.
Morning from Kew. Son and his partner should be back from Venice today. They have booked two lots of return tickets, one lot to Gatwick, the other to Stanstead. Their car is parked at Gatwick. Well, the Gatwick tickets were cancelled last night! All being well they will fly into Stanstead, son will set off for Gatwick for the car and his partner will come home. My granddaughter is so looking forward to seeing her parents again. I told them if they can’t get back today I can stay. Otherwise, depending on my migraine situation, I may go up to the V&A after dropping granddaughter at school and calling into the chemist to see about getting some more sumatriptan as I’m running short.??? to lots of you.
Good Morning Mick and all his followers, from an occasional visitor. It’s raining here in Suffolk too but the forecast has improved and it should stop soon. There are plenty of inside jobs to do any way.
I will get a phonecall from the GP from 8 am but if you don’t pick up immediately he ends the call, says the receptionist. I shall be on tenterhooks!
Good luck with your phonecalls * GM*
I hope the day is kind to us all.
Good morning everyone from a damp corner of Wales, let’s hope it brightens up!
DH says he’s taking DDog for a long walk today so I can fiddle about doing some watercolour painting. Other than that it’s a quiet day me thinks as the forecast isn’t too good.
Wishing you all a lovely day x
Morning all
Yep it’s grey and damp in S E Essex
I have to get up and cook the 7yr old GS his breakfast in a sec, (hash browns, scrambled egg and bacon, Granny spoils him) The cleaning fairies are here first thing and I am off to the gym.
Leftfieldlover hope you manage to get some Sumatriptan, it’s been a life saver for me over the years, although it does leave me feeling rather odd
Will pop later and catch up
Keep safe and well (and dry) folks ???♀️
Good morning all from wet East Yorkshire.
I have started taking my BP readings after my episode last week and am so relieved they are in the normal range.
I have a few calls to make today then am out tonight at another dance show at a local theatre.
How lovely to see baubles back here and I wish you continued progress ?
Take care everyone.
Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Mums and toddlers today so early start. Need to call into supermarket on the way back and pick up something for tea, forgot to get anything out of freezer and don't fancy what's in the fridge.
Have the best day you can everyone and may you all find some ?.
Good morning all from a damp bit of North Leicestershire.
We have the lovely roof men coming today to do some more draughtproofing of the slate tile facing of the wall to our playroom. We also have another engineer coming to look at the fridge which is still not working properly. And, I am helping at a dementia cafe this afternoon.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a cloudy start to the day
I’m all packed and will be on the flight later to Luton to visit DD1 in Cambridge for a few days. Looking forward to seeing them all especially my two DGSs who are growing up so quickly.
Good news about your BP readings grandmadinosaur well done
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?
Good morning from a grey skied Colchester where it has been raining. It feels very humid.
Wednesday morning coffee meetup in town and supermarket this afternoon.
Love to all ? x
Good morning from a rainy NE ?
Lovely lunch out yesterday with my sister, I opted for a vegetarian pizza which was delicious. We went to a nursery in a local park and bought plants afterwards. I got three terracotta pots which the gardener filled with geraniums, I like my patio to remind me of France in the summer.
My sister, who is hoping to travel from Germany, has already had her plane cancelled for the 20th of this month, she has rearranged for a later date so we shall wait and see.
We are concerned for her health as her flat has been so badly damaged by leakage from the flat above that she will not be able to stay there. The walls are going to need to be stripped back to the bricks.
SIL is coming this morning, we will do the shopping and he will stay for dinner.
DD's worklife seems to be getting back to normal, this week she is in Helsinki, first time on a plane in 2.5 years. She lives in Brussels and did not encounter the chaos experienced in UK airports.
Looks like the rain is here all day, have the best day you can.
Good morning from Shropshire.A day of sunshine and showers forecast.
We have got services in place for mum, on standby at the moment but ready to go if needed.Hoping the dr will call to see her today but not holding my breath.
Hoping for a quiet day and maybe get some packing done for a few days away.We are both feeling shattered and my brother and sister in law have said they will be on call for mum so hopefully we will get away next week??
Ladyleftfieldlover, my daughter forgot some medication when they came to stay last week. She phoned her surgery and a prescription was sent electronically to our local chemist.
Grandmadinosaur, brilliant news that your BP readings are in the normal range?
grandMattie?
Have the best day you can everyone??
Good morning all from a very wet Glasgow, DH is delighted, he will not need to water the garden.
Mick, I hope you managed to get some support at the surgery appointment yesterday. You don't seem to be making much progress with your problem.
I was wakened at an ungodly hour, by the lodgers making an almighty racket outside my bedroom door.
The handle on their door had jammed and they couldn't get back in after breakfast. The Diva (DD) had an early train to catch, because she can no longer face the motorway chaos on the road to Glasgow and was getting rather stressed. ( She wasn't the only one! ?)
I feel nothing but pity for her team today!
DH was perplexed yesterday at the strange, scorch patterns on the back lawn, I told him that aliens must have landed during the night.
What I didn't tell him, was that DD had made one of her magic potion with vinegar, to clean the barbecue parts, which she had laid on the grass. She could sell it as industrial weedkiller! I sussed it ut straight away, because the marks looked like stencils of the barbecue parts.
She isn't letting on either, because he had just got it in pristine condition. ?
I'm glad its raining, I have no obligation to go out and will just footer, as we say here in Glasgow. I may bake, then again, I may not! ?
Good luck with the NHS phone calls, I hate waiting for them, because you are afraid to do anything, ( including going to the loo) in case you miss the calls.
Sending good wishes to all those who have an unbearable burden to bear, I hope you find some peace today. So pleased to hear from Baubles, yesterday.
Enjoy your day folks.
Good morning all from a dreary Essex.
Dh has a dental appointment and then hopes to go fishing, but the weather doesn’t look great. I hope he still goes as I have my ‘lovely girl ‘ visiting with her baby and we need some girlie chat , which Dh would find boring. ?. I looked after her and her two brothers , for 10 years after her mother died, so we have a special bond. ❤️.
After two sessions of Bridge yesterday, I’m feeling a bit brain addled, so a nice relaxing day today, I hope ?.
I hope you all have a ‘good’ day , whatever it brings. ?
Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. Not sure what the weather is doing but there was rain overnight.
I’ve woken with a a thumping headache, dehydrated I think.
I have to return to hospital today to see my stoma nurse. I have a Zimmer frame but I think I’ll try to go in on DH’s arm so that I feel less conspicuous. After that it will be a quiet day.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Apologies. I meant to say thank you for your kind comments. Marydoll another couple of candles wouldn’t go amiss ?
Good morning all from an already bright Algarve where it is going to get very hot apparently today.
I’m waiting for the bathroom to be free so that I can be in and out of there before a workman arrives for some necessary repairs. This was arranged at midday yesterday after waiting for about a year. Within the hour we’d had a message from our cleaning fairy, that she could unexpectedly fit us in at two pm today.
So of course I slept badly worrying whether it would all synchronise but I shall follow GM’s motto and seize the day.
?gM
Good morning. A bright start here in N. Bucks if a little breezy.
I have youngest Grandson for a couple of hours this morning. A trip to the swings is on the agenda
This afternoon is craft club where we will be doing Indian block printing. My friend who helps run the club has not been well so hoping she is able to come.
Wishing you all a good day.
Good morning all from a wet Polmont. It's 11° but the signs are not good that it'll go any higher today. Brook safe journey to Cambridge. Baubles take care. Susan you definitely need a break.
Yesterday was a very lazy day for me. I'm unrepentant. Today I'll visit mum but have nothing else planned. A bit of drawing perhaps as the weather looks grim. Have a good day all.
Good morning Mick and everyone from a very wet Hull. It’s rained all night. We needed it due to the treatment Green Thumb put on the lawn. It’s warm out though. Can’t wait for the next few sunny warm days.
grandMattie ?
Grandmadinosaur so pleased your BP is normal. Enjoy your show tonight.
Good to hear from Baubles yesterday.
Had a lovely time with DGD yesterday. They are dog sitting so we were throwing the ball for the dog. M said grandma we need the chucker. So after she’s done it a few times I asked if I could have a go she said ‘not really Grandma because you might break your neck and you are very old’ so I sat with a cuppa and watched safely. She’s 3 and a half and hilarious ?
Today we have DGS from school. I still need to do the ironing from our hols I was going to do it yesterday afternoon but DH said do it another day let’s go and watch Stranger Things. I don’t need asking twice. Anything to not have to iron.
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible. Take care ??
Good Morning from the west midlands. Its another bright morning but rain promised for later. I'm having a home day today, some admin, some housework and some gardening if the weather holds up. Had a lovely day out yesterday with an old friend.
