I have tried a few different reed scent diffusers in my house , but they aren’t anything like as nice as the Jo M ones my daughter has in her house.
They seem to last for ages as well as smelling wonderful but they are soo expensive!
Have any of you found any others that are as nice / long lasting ,or almost, without paying such s lot of money?
I know they say you get what you pay for but I can’t pay for it lol ?

I love the Jo Malone candles too but very expensive. I've tried the Aldi 'smell the same' mandarin and lime ones but they are nowhere near as strong and don't last very long.
Started using the M&S 'Balance' scented candle, really nice and with cheaper refills available but now after a year or so they're no longer available. Have tried their other scents but the lighter noted ones are quite faint so not really worth the bother and I don't like the more pungent smells.

If you're looking a scent diffuser that's both delightful and long-lasting, yet more affordable than Jo Malone, Scenta Flora offers excellent options.

Jo Malone is not cruelty free, sold in China and owned by Estee Lauder (definitely not cruelty free).

Would never pay Malone prices. Many more good reasonably priced on the market. Three of my favourite, white jasmine from Next. Boots sanctuary, and Amber Patchouli from Habitat at Argos. Haven't tried the Aldi versions, but love their Hotel candles.

Thornbush Hill - an independent maker in South Wales. I love the eucalyptus and peppermint, especially good for kitchen and dog smells.

Sago

Another vote for Valletta, really beautiful natural smells, similar to Neom but much cheaper.

How do I find Valetta? I've tried googling but can't find it. confused Do they have an online shop? If not, which places stock this brand?

Another vote for the Aldi ones. I always have one in my hallway on a shelf above the radiator. The one that's supposed to be JM Pomegranate Noir is lovely, as is the Lime Basil and Mandarine one. It is true that they run out (of stock and smell grin) very quickly, but that gives you the chance to change the smell. Aldi also stock refresher oil, so you don't have to keep throwing out the bottles and reeds.

I got a Next one for Christmas once, and it lasted for ages (smelt nice too).

I’m wary of fragrances in the house as my OH has asthma, but I’ve found the nicest and most natural ones come from the St Eval Candle Co. In Cornwall. Bay and Rosemary is my favourite.

Not if they are from natural essential oils, Boz. I agree some fragrances are quite disgusting, smelling of chemicals.

My son bought me two from House of Fraser. Both vile; smelling like cheap plug-in air fresheners. Aren't these things bad for you ?

I’ve ordered the lemongrass & rosemary, as it has the best reviews.

Delicious and long lasting one by Uniquessence, from Onomatopoeia in Lyndhurst New Forest, bought on a visit there. They also have an online store. They do lots of different ones, we got this one and it lasted for months! Citrus Breeze - Bergamot Lemongrass & Lime - £22.50.

Patsy70 Thu 27-Oct-22 09:52:24

I think it’s Vallente, MrsKen33. Just googled it and they do a variety of natural fragrances, also free delivery when spending over £20.

My son bought me a diffuser, which smells divine, it is Made by Zen, Moroccan Rose. I also have one by Purity Lab, Cleanse Sage & Citrus Peel.

MrsKen33 Thu 27-Oct-22 09:39:18

Daisymae did you mean Valletta or Vallente? Both make candles

Serendipity22 Thu 27-Oct-22 09:28:40

I bought an Aldi 1 yesterday, Black Cherry. Its smells gorgeous but its too soon to say how long it will last.

The Neom rechargeable diffuser is the best, also Muji do a good one. Not cheap, though once you’ve bought the little machine you just buy the essential oils to top it up.
