Good Morning Everyone,
Its a another bright sunny start here in brackley this morning.
Today ,although was considering bus to Bicester will watch the weather.
I had some bad news from GP , they found something in last blood test , and he referred to colour of my poo, when I had those collapses unsure whether blood had darkened the poo .
I have another blood test tomorrow to see if it has changed ,and he wants me to pick up a bowel kit at the surgery as well .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from an overcast E Kent. There are supposed to be thunderstorms, but I doubt we shall have any here. It so rarely rains.
I’m sorry you are having new worries, Mick, and hope they are nothing important. Urms, what a bummer to be cancelled, I trust it isn’t for long. And with those rail strikes, you’ve got no entertainment!
No dramas, nothing happened yesterday! Hope that today will be similar…. DH’s balance and mobility are so bad now that if we do get a frame in about 6 weeks’ time, he’ll be bed bound…
Iris had a review recently and the whole team is very happy with her leg; still needs a lot of physiotherapy, but is much more mobile now. All good that end.
Carpe diem y’all. ????❤️☀️

Morning all from West Oxfordshire and ???to those with overwhelming problems. Our fortnightly cleaning ladies are due this morning. I have to pop into Oxford to get a new battery for my iPad. Then I have to finish my stained glass panel - basically scrubbing and cleaning all the cement off it, I have a zoom meeting this evening but if my iPad is still kaput, I’m not sure what to do. OH said I could download zoom onto his laptop but that can’t be a permanent solution. We had dinner at one of our favourite restaurants last night. Sadly, if they can’t find a buyer by the end of July, they are closing. They do the best Eton Mess ever. Here is a picture of it.

Good morning from an overcast Essex by the sea.
Sorry to hear your news Mick, let's hope that your GP can sort it for you.
Thinking of you and your DH GM ?.
No plans today apart from the usual washing, cleaning etc.
Have a great Thursday everyone xx

Good morning, Mick, and those who follow from a bright and sunny Torbay.

It’s good that your GP has identified a potential issue, Mick, and I hope you don’t have to wait too long for the results. A peaceful day must have been welcome, grandMattie and I’m so pleased to hear about Iris! ???

My chat with the cardiologist yesterday was helpful. He thinks the risk to my heart from dental work is little greater than from when I brush my teeth! The valve repair operation is likely to be sometime next year, which is no surprise. The best news was that, despite a slight drop in sodium levels, I can remain on spironolactone, a diuretic, pending another blood test. It is suiting me and helped the breathlessness.

Later I was at the theatre which was buzzing with people due to a letting to a local film club. I was privileged to meet a member, a delightful Ukrainian lady, whom I couldn’t resist hugging. She had worked on experimental theatre projects in Ukraine but has a British husband.

The day ended with another rehearsal for’Allo, ‘Allo, run by the assistant director as the main guy has Covid, caught on holiday in France, where he suffered two day delays on onward and homeward bound journeys with EasyJet.

Today I’m off to a singing workshop then home for a telephone consultation with my lovely cardiac nurse. Have the best day you can, everyone! ?????

Ashcombe Thu 23-Jun-22 06:27:13

onward = outward!

Good Morning everyone from sunny Severnside.

I’m sorry to hear your news Mick and pleased to hear about Iris.

I’m off out this morning for a few hours to one of my classes that has started up again. I might also pick up a magazine while I’m out, no shopping this week. I’ll make do with what’s in the house.

Have a good day all ?

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow.

Its good your GP is on the ball Mick, its easy to say, not to worry, but hopefully you will get an answer quickly.

So pleased to hear you both had a better day, GM, hopefully today will be a good one too.

Think of all those needing our prayers and support. ?
Have a good day folks.

Good morning from the Borders where we are away for a short break. It happened to be a special day yesterday and about 250 ridden horses came through the town. I have already forgotten the name of it! Anyway it was quite a spectacle. We are just having a few restful days pottering about. I was so tired when I arrived yesterday afternoon I fell soundly asleep! One son is doing the Tour of Mount Blanc in sizzling temperatures. He hopes to finish it today and I will be relieved when he is back in Chamonix. Hope everyone has a peaceful day

kittylester Thu 23-Jun-22 07:21:07

Good morning all from a slightly overcast North Leicestershire.

There are council workmen outside preparing to top dress the road- they are quite noisy.

Sainsbury's delivery today and more admin including some online learning and dh is going to the cricket this evening.

We went to our next door neighbours for drinks last night. Just a slight headache this morning. grin

Have the best day possible everyone

ShazzaKanazza Thu 23-Jun-22 07:22:48

Good Morning Mick and everyone from another lovely day in Hull.

Mick I’m sure that phone call came as an unwelcome surprise. Hope when they do all your tests they find everything will be ok.

grandMattie hope today is as uneventful as yesterday.? Lovely to hear Iris is doing well. My sister lives in Canterbury and she says they generally have lovely summers down there.

Ash that all sounded mostly positive yesterday with your health news. ? your activities with the theatre sound fun. Such a great hobby to have.

Today we are heading over the Humber Bridge to Grimsby to take my car in for a service. They’ll loan us a car so we’ll go to Cleethorpes for a look around and possibly have fish and chips from Papas on the pier. I do love a seaside resort. We can obviously get my car serviced in Hull but might as well make a day of it.
Hoping everyone enjoys their day today and the sunshine if you have it. But virtual hugs to those with worries and illness ??

NanKate Thu 23-Jun-22 07:23:06

Good morning Mick and All.

At least now Mick the doctor can sort out some your problem and start some treatment.

It’s my DS’s 48th birthday today, where has the time gone? I remember when recovering from the birth I went to the Day Room to watch Wimbledon and a nurse came in and said ‘stop watching the tv and come and feed your baby NOW !’ My reply was ‘But I may never have time again to watch it !’ I’m still a great fan ???

Hope all is going well for Kitty’s DD.

We are missing you Urm.

dragonfly46 Thu 23-Jun-22 07:23:51

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Sorry to hear your news Mick but a good thing the doctors are taking care.
Good to hear about Iris.

Must send some shoes back this morning and NWR plant swap and flower arranging this afternoon.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Pittcity Thu 23-Jun-22 07:26:42

Good morning from a darkening Colchester. It dawned bright and sunny but the storm clouds are gathering.
Decorators are due to arrive any minute to do the hall, stairs and landing. I am hoping to be able to mooch around the shops to keep out of their way, leaving DH to supervise!!!!! Might have to sit in a cafe if the weather is bad.
Sorry to hear about your health worries Mick. Glad your GP is on to it.
Love to all ?x

Greyduster Thu 23-Jun-22 07:31:31

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Set to be another warm one in South Yorkshire?. Sorry to hear about your health issues Mick. I hope it’s something that is soon sorted; try not to worry. I have some housework to catch up on before it gets too warm today, and then I am off to DD’s this afternoon for an overnight stay. I had a long chat on the phone with DS and DiL last night - nice to catch up.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Grandmabatty Thu 23-Jun-22 07:47:19

Good morning all from Polmont where it's 14° and cloudy. I'm sorry to hear that you have health issues Mick. Marydoll the brevity of your post leads me to think that you are feeling unwell today. ? Grandmattie I'm glad Iris has had good news. Brook enjoy pottering. My friend is very excited to be heading to Inverness at the weekend to see Andreas Bocelli.
Yesterday I visited mum and she was on her best behaviour. I'm noticing her slowing down a lot though and getting very forgetful. It's sad as she was full of energy and life when younger. Then I visited my friend for coffee and fruit loaf. I could sit in her house for hours as the view from her sitting room is wonderful. Across the river to the hills.
Today is definitely a gentle pottering one. I will have to nip to Aldi for bread but I want to snip away in the garden. Have a good day all.

ginny Thu 23-Jun-22 07:50:50

Good morning. It is a litt cloudier but still warm.

I think I had better do some housework this morning after I have delivered a cake to the local museum and made some sausage rolls.
This afternoon is Sewing club and I plan to do some painting this evening.

Wishing all a good day.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 23-Jun-22 07:51:13

Good morning from sunny East Yorkshire.

Sorry to hear about your health issue Mick fingers crossed it will get sorted quickly.
NanKate that made me laugh and Happy Birthday to your DS.

Thoughts as always GM and other Grans with poorly husbands, daughters and ones recuperating themselves ?

Yesterday we went to pick up my click and collect order in Beverley and sat in the market square eating and ice cream.

No plans as such for today. I badly need a pedicure. When I rang up to make an appointment the earliest available was 9 am today. That’s too early for me so I can’t get in till next week. DH and I will pop out somewhere for a coffee this morning. We will go somewhere we can sit outside in the sun. Then GS will be here after school I think we will go to the foreshore again to give him a run around.

Take care everyone.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 23-Jun-22 07:55:25

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Yesterday morning was just so busy I didn’t have a chance to post. We tried to get a bus to Knaresborough market but the buses were not running to time. By the time we got the bus and in to Knaresborough the stall I wanted wasn’t there and there was no time to look around- I had a hospital appointment at 11.30. We got o the 1st bus back to Harrogate but unfortunately it wasn’t going past the hospital. We ended having a fair walk. Had a coffee when we got there. The appointment proved what I have suspected for some time, that my breathing problems are caused by my heart and not my lungs!! Anyway I now have an appointment for a procedure which should sort that on the 19th July!
Good to hear that you are being sorted Mick sounds like you are in good hands.
Sainsburies delivery today and possibly a trip to town
Have the best day possible folks

Gingster Thu 23-Jun-22 08:03:35

Good morning all and where has the sun gone. Cloudy here in Essex and warnings for thunderstorms . ?.

Yesterday was very warm but I walked up the hills to town and got my skate wings from the market fish man. I bought my lovely neighbour a dressed crab as he waters our plants when we’re away. (Last of the big spenders, me) . He does use our drive though so it’s a reciprocal arrangement.

Today I have my bowls group and will shop afterwards.

Sorry to hear your news Mick but pleased you are getting medical attention, now.

Pleased Iris is doing so well GM

Take care Ash

Enjoy your fish and chip Shazza. Always the best at the seaside.

Wishing you all the best day you can ?

baubles Thu 23-Jun-22 08:08:31

Good morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

I hope your health worry is resolved quickly Mick.

We drove to a large garden centre yesterday just to get me out. I couldn’t believe the price of some of the huge garden furniture sets on display, especially given that our summer probably amounts to less than three weeks of warm sunny weather.

I did buy some geraniums as we’ve a couple of pots to fill and they are so lovely. After all that activity I slept for a hour on the sofa when we got home.

Appointment with my nurse at the hospital this morning so I’d better get up and get organised.

Have the best day possible everyone. ??

GrannyGravy13 Thu 23-Jun-22 08:14:45

Morning all

I hope your GP gets you sorted as soon as possible Mick

A quiet day is a good day grandMattie promising news for Iris.

MaryDoll I hope you are OK?

I am going to hopefully walk to the opticians this morning (if I can dodge the thunder storms) as my glasses seem to have got very loose, every time I bend over or look down they fall off.

Then I shall be writing lists as July is a very busy month and I want to be organised.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

GrannySomerset Thu 23-Jun-22 08:28:26

Awoke cross after a disturbed night but another lovely day ahead from the look of things. Am helping a friend with a coffee morning raising funds for our local hospice so need to get a move on. Like so many good causes, the hospice has suffered financially in the pandemic and needs all the help it can get.

Yesterday’s piano removal went to plan and our lovely local carpet man came to sort the carpet out before he set off for Glastonbury and the sitting room is much improved. All this took most of the day and was surprisingly tiring but is a good job done. We also discussed putting down new flooring in the hall and sitting room and that looks affordable for the autumn.

Marydoll sounds subdued so hope it is just the heat, and that the gMatties have a drama free day.
